2026 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 1-10

1. Las Vegas Raiders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Despite the signing of Kirk Cousins and some in the media recently making a case that Ty Simpson is the top quarterback in the class, every consensus big board disagrees. Mendoza will not only be the first quarterback off the board, but he will be the first player off the board on draft night. He is -20000 to be the first overall player selected.

Who Calls the Shots in Raiders Draft Room?

GM John Spytek (second year) probably controls the roster, though it’s unclear. Last year, when Pete Carroll was head coach, the team declined to clarify who had final say (though it was probably Carroll, who had final say in Seattle). Spytek climbed through the scouting ranks, so he’s well-qualified to run the draft room.

2. New York Jets, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Arvell Reese, EDGE, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Arvell Reese, EDGE, Ohio State

There are a lot of prominent voices in the draft community suggesting that this pick will be David Bailey, but we are in misinformation season. Reese still seems like the better fit with the higher upside in Aaron Glenn’s defense, so for now, I am sticking with him here and ignoring the noise.

Who Calls the Shots in Jets Draft Room?

Darren Mougey (second year) probably has final say over the roster. Mougey came up in the college scouting department with the Broncos, so he will likely control most draft-day decisions. However, both Mougey and Aaron Glenn report directly to owner Woody Johnson 一 a messy arrangement which often leads to a power struggle.

3. Arizona Cardinals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

Here is the first true wildcard of the draft. The Cardinals could go in many different directions, including a very real possibility of trading out. There have not been many leaks coming out of Arizona, so most assume they will go with a right tackle since it’s such a glaring need. Value does not really meet that need here, though, so they take the FBS leader in sacks last season to bolster a defense that was 26th in EPA per play allowed.

Who Calls the Shots in Cardinals Draft Room?

GM Monti Ossenfort (fourth year) has final say over the Cardinals' roster. Ossenfort is a former director of college scouting (Patriots) and director of player personnel (Titans), and his assistant GM is former Lions director of college scouting Dave Sears

4. Tennessee Titans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

With Bailey and Reese off the board, this most likely makes the decision easier for Tennessee to go with the best player available, which would be Love. This pick would help support second-year quarterback Cam Ward by adding a dynamic weapon out of the backfield who can both run and catch. Love is also considered an outstanding blocker for the position.

Who Calls the Shots in Titans Draft Room?

Mike Borgonzi (second year) joined the Titans after 15 years in the Chiefs organization and has final say over the roster. Borgonzi previously spent three seasons as Kansas City’s assistant GM, but he does not have a background in college scouting, so director of college scouting Jon Salge likely plays a critical role in the selection process.

5. New York Giants, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Saints): Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

The Giants ranked last in the league in yards allowed per rush and rushing EPA per play allowed last season, so while offensive line or even a trade back may be considered here, the prudent move for new head coach John Harbaugh would be to stick and pick his future leader of the defense, like he had on so many teams in Baltimore.

Who Calls the Shots in Giants Draft Room?

GM Joe Schoen (fifth year) has final say over roster decisions. He spent the previous five seasons as the assistant general manager to Brandon Beane in Buffalo. Schoen’s background is in college scouting with the Panthers and Dolphins.

6. Cleveland Browns, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Cowboys): Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

In previous iterations, I’ve had Cleveland taking an offensive tackle first and a wide receiver second with their two first-round picks. However, if they go by consensus big boards, it would make more sense to go wide receiver first and tackle second. Depending on how the first five picks go, Cleveland may also look to trade down here.

Who Calls the Shots in Browns Draft Room?

GM Andrew Berry (seventh year) has final say on the roster. Chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta previously played a significant role, but left the NFL to return to baseball this year. Director of college scouting Max Paulus (fifth year) likely has significant input on the draft.

7. Washington Commanders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

Another team that may be looking to trade down with no second-round pick, especially if the draft falls this way. If they can’t find a trade partner, Delane fits everything GM Adam Peters typically looks for in a first-round pick. The Commanders have made several additions to their defense, which ranked 31st in EPA per play allowed last year, but not at the cornerback position. They also released Marshon Lattimore.

Who Calls the Shots in Commanders Draft Room?

GM Adam Peters (third year) has final say over the personnel decisions. He previously spent seven years with the 49ers, most recently as John Lynch’s assistant GM. He also previously served as the Broncos’ director of college scouting under John Elway. Head coach Dan Quinn likely has significant input in selecting defensive players, as he’s always had strong preferences on who fits his scheme.

8. New Orleans Saints, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Rueben Bain Jr, EDGE, Miami

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Giants): Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State

It seems like Cam Jordan will not be returning next season, so the Saints need to address their pass rush. Jordan himself seems to agree (see below). He also added that he does not have any concerns about Bain’s arm length. There is a report circulating now about an incident in 2024 that teams will have to fully vet, but Bain has been cleared of any charges related to that incident.

Who Calls the Shots in Saints Draft Room?

GM Mickey Loomis likely has final say, though the power dynamic has been unclear since the departure of Sean Payton (who previously had final say). Since Loomis does not have a background in scouting, assistant GM and director of college personnel Jeff Ireland likely has substantial input in the draft.

9. Dallas Cowboys, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

Projected Trade: Dallas acquires picks 9, 29, and 148 from Kansas City for picks 12 and 20

The Cowboys see the top-tier defensive players that they are targeting being selected and decide not to take any more chances. Many feel that Downs would be a perfect fit under new DC Christian Parker, and Dallas is having him in for a top-30 visit, which is a good indicator they have serious interest in Downs.

Who Calls the Shots in Cowboys Draft Room?

Director of player personnel Stephen Jones effectively acts as the general manager with significant input from VP of player personnel Will McClay. Obviously, owner Jerry Jones has been known to step in and make decisions as well.

10. Cincinnati Bengals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

Cincinnati is able to stay put, let the board fall to them, and still get a top defensive prospect. Now that McCoy was able to perform drills for teams, including running a 4.38 forty, that should help ease concerns about his injury and put him firmly back into the mix to be a top-10 pick.

Who Calls the Shots in Bengals Draft Room?

Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin has final say over roster construction.

2026 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 11-20

11. Miami Dolphins, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Rams): Makai Lemon, WR, USC

The message out of the new regime in Miami is that they want to build out from the trenches, so Fano would be a good start. He can play multiple positions along the offensive line and start right away at tackle or guard. He also checks a lot of the boxes that the new front office typically looked for in first-round picks in Green Bay, including his 9.80 relative athletic score.

Who Calls the Shots in Dolphins Draft Room?

First-year GM Jon-Eric Sullivan has final say over the roster. Sullivan has spent his entire 22-year career in Green Bay, with over a decade of that time spent in the college scouting department. Assistant GM Kyle Smith also has a background in college scouting.

12. Kansas City Chiefs, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

Projected Trade: Dallas acquires picks 9, 29, and 148 from Kansas City for picks 12 and 20

Tyson has a wide range of outcomes due to his injury history and not working out at all at the Combine or his Pro Day, but he recently announced that he will be holding an individual workout for teams on April 17th. If all goes well, he could hear his name called as early as the top 10.

Who Calls the Shots in Chiefs Draft Room?

GM Brett Veach (ninth year) officially has final say over the roster, but Andy Reid’s opinion carries significant weight. The two have worked together since Reid hired Veach as a coaching intern in 2004, and Veach followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013.

13. Los Angeles Rams, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Makai Lemon, WR, USC

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Dolphins): Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Peter Schrager, who is as plugged into the Rams as any reporter, recently said, “Makai Lemon is everything that Les Snead and Sean McVay love. He is tough as nails, and he’s an absolute dog.” A team without many needs, the Rams adding to the wide receiver room with the Biletnikoff winner would be a nice luxury for the current Super Bowl favorites.

Who Calls the Shots in Rams Draft Room?

GM Les Snead (15th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

14. Baltimore Ravens, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

The Ravens have rumored interest in both Jordyn Tyson and Sadiq per ESPN, so with Tyson already off the board, Sadiq is the pick to fill the spot left by Isaiah Likely. New OC Declan Doyle came from Chicago, where they took Colston Loveland in the first round and used a lot of 12 personnel. Having Sadiq to pair with Mark Andrews would provide a good scheme fit for him.

Who Calls the Shots in Ravens Draft Room?

GM Eric DeCosta (eighth year as GM, 28th year in organization) controls roster construction and has maintained a similar approach to his former boss, Ozzie Newsome.

15. Cleveland Browns, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia

Projected Trade: Cleveland acquires picks 15 and 193 from Tampa Bay for picks 24, 70, and 107

So instead of taking Freeling at six, Cleveland gets their wide receiver there and now maneuvers back up to also land Freeling. In this scenario, the Browns are able to walk away from the first round with two players they considered at No. 6. Per PFF, Freeling had a 1.8% pressure rate allowed, which was the best among all left tackles in college football last season. Couple that with a 9.99 RAS, and you can see why he will most likely be the first pure left tackle off the board.

See the 6th pick for more on the Browns' draft plans.

16. Philadelphia Eagles, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

Projected Trade: Philadelphia acquires picks 16 and 210 from New York for picks 23 and 78

GM Howie Roseman rarely sits on his hands in the first round. He has traded his original draft pick six of the last seven drafts and has traded up in the last three. Usually, his target is someone who is falling in the draft for some reason, and in this case, Mauigoa could fall on draft night due to injury uncertainty that caused him to have to do a medical recheck. Also, most teams in the top 15 do not need a right tackle, and some teams could view him as a guard.

Who Calls the Shots in Eagles Draft Room?

GM Howie Roseman (17th year) has final say over the roster. Roseman has held the title of general manager and/or executive vice president of football operations since 2010, but he did not control the roster during Andy Reid‘s and Chip Kelly’s tenures. Roseman gained full control of personnel decisions in 2016.

17. Detroit Lions, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

This pick gives Detroit some options, as there has been some talk about moving Penei Sewell from right tackle to left tackle to fill the void left by Taylor Decker. Proctor started the last three seasons at Alabama at left tackle and had the fourth-highest grade for any tackle from PFF last season, but some think he may be better at right tackle at the next level.

Who Calls the Shots in Lions Draft Room?

GM Brad Holmes (sixth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Holmes was a longtime director of college scouting with the Rams before joining Detroit, and managing the draft is his strength.

18. Minnesota Vikings, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon

I’ve had this pairing for every mock I’ve done so far, as this seems like a very obvious fit after Thieneman’s performance at the Combine and with Harrison Smith likely retiring. The Vikings have not addressed his replacement in free agency. Thieneman's 9.67 RAS to go along with his 91.0 grade from PFF last year should have cemented his spot in the top 20 in this draft.

Who Calls the Shots in Vikings Draft Room?

Before being fired, GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah had final say over the roster, but since his background was not in scouting, director of college scouting Mike Sholiton likely played a significant role in the draft. Interim GM Rob Brzezinski also has no background in scouting, so while he might have final say, it’s safe to assume this late change at GM gives Sholiton significant influence over this year’s draft process.

19. Carolina Panthers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Eagles): Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

The Panthers are doing their homework on potential first-round wide receivers, as they should to give Bryce Young even more support. Carolina is going to decide on his long-term future with the team sooner rather than later. One of the best separators in the class, Concepcion would bring another dynamic to the Panthers offense.

Who Calls the Shots in Panthers Draft Room?

GM Dan Morgan (third year) previously served as assistant GM in Carolina under Scott Fitterer. Morgan has final say but likely leans heavily on others in the draft. Director of college scouting Jared Kirksey likely plays a key role in the draft due to Morgan’s limited scouting experience.

20. Kansas City Chiefs, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State

Projected Trade: Dallas acquires picks 9, 29, and 148 from Kansas City for picks 12 and 20

Johnson has been a steady riser throughout the draft process, and in the recently released Beast by Dane Brugler, he had Johnson as his third cornerback and 24th player overall. That was 14 spots higher than his last ranking in February, when he had him 38th. It makes sense when you see he had the second-highest PFF grade of all corners last season and then had elite testing with a 9.84 RAS. After losing multiple starters in the secondary, Johnson will be an immediate starter. Even after this trade, Kansas City still holds the 40th pick, which will be a good range where they can then address their pass rush.

See the 12th pick for more on the Chiefs' draft plans.

2026 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 21-32

21. Pittsburgh Steelers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Olaivavega Ioane, OG, Penn State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Bucs): Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami

Ioane, unlike some of the other offensive line prospects, has no questions about what position he will play at the next level. With 32 starts in his college career and only committing one penalty last year, which was a false start, Ioane is one of the most ready plug-and-play prospects in the entire class.

Who Calls the Shots in Steelers Draft Room?

GM Omar Khan (fourth year) took over from Kevin Colbert, who ran the team for 23 years. Khan likely has final say over the roster, though it is a collaborative effort with assistant GM Andy Weidl (fourth year). Mike Tomlin previously had a strong voice, and Mike McCarthy will certainly be included, but he likely holds less influence due to his lack of familiarity with the Steelers’ process, which has remained largely unchanged for years.

22. Los Angeles Chargers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF

The Chargers have been active in free agency to bolster their offensive line, so now the defensive line, specifically on the edge, should be the biggest priority heading into the draft. Lawrence has been a steady riser throughout the draft process after a very impressive Combine where he posted a 9.9 RAS, which is something the Chargers typically look for in first-round picks.

Who Calls the Shots in Chargers Draft Room?

It’s unclear who has the final say over the roster, though it is assumed that power belongs to Jim Harbaugh (third year). However, the draft is likely run primarily by GM Joe Hortiz (third year), who was previously the Ravens' longtime director of college scouting.

23. New York Jets, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Omar Cooper Jr, WR, Indiana

Projected Trade: Philadelphia acquires picks 16 and 210 from New York for picks 23 and 78

There is a lot of recent buzz that the Jets have serious interest in Cooper. 16 may be a bit of a reach for him based on consensus big boards, but in this mock, the Jets are able to trade back and acquire a third-round pick, which they don’t currently have.

See the 2nd pick for more on the Jets' draft plans.

24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn

Projected Trade: Cleveland acquires picks 15 and 193 from Tampa Bay for picks 24, 70, and 107

Faulk is the definition of a traits versus production prospect. He is also the youngest player in the draft and can play multiple spots along the defensive line. That is something that GM Jason Licht typically bets on. After trading down to pick up more draft capital, this is a good spot to do it.

Who Calls the Shots in Buccaneers Draft Room?

GM Jason Licht (13th year) has final say over the roster.

25. Chicago Bears, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri

Ben Johnson said the Bears are looking for “trained killers” on defense. McNeil-Warren fits that description. His scouting reports refer to him as a physical safety, and Dane Brugler added that McNeil-Warren is “not shy dropping the shoulder and driving through middle-field targets.”

Who Calls the Shots in Bears Draft Room?

GM Ryan Poles (fourth year) has final say over roster construction. Poles was previously with the Chiefs since 2009, working under GM Brett Veach as director of player personnel.

26. Buffalo Bills, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kayden McDonald, DL, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

The Bills will most likely be targeting the defensive line early in the draft. The question is, will it be on the edge or inside? Buffalo was 31st in defensive rushing EPA allowed last year, so getting the best run-stopping defensive tackle in the draft may be the smarter move. McDonald is also considered to be a very good scheme fit for new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard.

Who Calls the Shots in Bills Draft Room?

GM Brandon Beane (ninth year) officially has final say over the roster. Former head coach Sean McDermott’s opinion carried significant weight McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 and also worked together for six seasons in Carolina 一 but Joe Brady likely does not have as much say given his inexperience and more limited relationship with Beane.

27. San Francisco 49ers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

Whether or not Trent Williams is on the 49ers next year, they need to start making plans for his eventual replacement. Lomu could start at guard right away and then move back out to left tackle in the future, which is where he played at Utah.

Who Calls the Shots in 49ers Draft Room?

GM John Lynch (ninth year) has final say over personnel decisions, but he works closely with Kyle Shanahan.

28. Houston Texans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Blake Miller, OT, Clemson

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Kayden McDonald, DL, Ohio State

The Texans have made a lot of additions to their offensive line, but there is more work to be done. There is some speculation that newly signed Braden Smith could kick into guard, which would then make right tackle a glaring need again. That can be filled immediately by Miller, who had 54 collegiate starts.

Who Calls the Shots in Texans Draft Room?

GM Nick Caserio has final say over the roster. This is Caserio’s sixth year with Houston, but likely only his fourth with full control 一 former executive VP Jack Easterby (who played a confusing role in the organization) previously held significant power as well. Assistant GM James Liipfert is the team’s former director of college scouting, and likely plays a significant role in the draft process as well.

29. Dallas Cowboys, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami

Projected Trade: Dallas acquires picks 9, 29, and 148 from Kansas City for picks 12 and 20

The fact that Mesidor is already 25 years old will probably exclude him from some draft boards in the first round. That's probably not true for Dallas, who are in win-now mode and has made it clear they are still looking to upgrade their pass rush with their offer for Maxx Crosby. Local Dallas reporter Bryan Broaddus has been clear that the team is very high on Mesidor and that they would even consider him at 12.

See the 9th pick for more on the Cowboys' draft plans.

30. Miami Dolphins, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson

Again, going with what Green Bay typically looks for in Round 1 picks and assuming Miami follows that same philosophy, Hood checks off a lot of the boxes. After fortifying the trenches with their first pick, the Dolphins address the secondary here, which was 27th in passing EPA allowed last season.

See the 11th pick for more on the Dolphins' draft plans.

31. New England Patriots, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State

Am I reading too much into the video of Mike Vrabel working with Iheanachor and putting in extra time with him at the Arizona State Pro Day? Yeah, maybe, but he also did the same thing with last year’s first-round pick Will Campbell. Current right tackle Morgan Moses has no guaranteed money after this season, so finding his replacement now and allowing him to develop for a year may be the best thing for both the Patriots and Iheanachor, who didn’t start playing football until after high school and started his college career at the JUCO level.

Who Calls the Shots in Patriots Draft Room?

Head coach Mike Vrabel (second year) has final say over personnel decisions. The team never hired a GM after Bill Belichick left, leaving Eliot Wolf in charge. Wolf remains the Executive VP of Player Personnel. Ryan Cowden, a former scout who now serves under Wolf as the VP of Player Personnel, is also likely involved. Director of College Scouting Tony Kinkela is in his first year on the job after getting promoted from a scouting role.

32. Seattle Seahawks, Top Draft Pick Prediction: T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson

Previous selection in Mock Draft 3.0 (Cardinals): Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama

There aren’t many needs for the defending Super Bowl Champions, but they could use some depth on the edge after losing Boye Mafe in free agency. Parker, who is still just 21 years old, was considered a potential top-five pick coming into the season. After a disappointing year at Clemson, he is now considered more of a late-day one/early-day two pick.

Who Calls the Shots in Seahawks Draft Room?

GM John Schneider is entering his 17th year in this role, but it will be just his third with final say over the roster, as Pete Carroll previously held that power. Schneider does not have a background in college scouting, so VP of Player Personnel Trent Kirchner, VP of Player Acquisition Matt Berry, and Director of College Scouting Aaron Hineline likely have strong voices in the draft room due to their experience on the scouting side of things.

Way Too Early 2026 NFL Draft Mock: Arch Manning No. 1 Overall? https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/2026-nfl-mock-draft-way-too-early-predictions-arch-manning-brendan-donahue/ Thu, 01 May 2025 16:00:08 +0000 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/?p=104064 Arch Manning

The 2025 NFL Draft is now in the rearview mirror, so it is time to turn our attention to the 2026 class.

What quarterbacks might go near the top of the 2026 NFL Draft?

Which teams might need those quarterbacks?

Which defensive players could crash the party?

Only time will tell, but here is how things look a year out from the 2026 NFL Draft.

*Draft order determined by projected win totals

1. Cleveland Browns, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Arch Manning, QB, Texas

Projected Win Total: 4.5

Even though the Browns drafted two quarterbacks, one of whom happened to be Shadeur Sanders, they did not spend even a second round pick on either, showing they don’t believe either is a starting level quarterback in the NFL.

So if Manning does declare, which is a big if at this moment, the Browns would not hesitate to add him to an already crowded quarterback room.

2. New York Giants, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

Projected Win Total: 5.5

The Giants made an aggressive move to jump back into the first round to select Jaxson Dart, and he projects to be their starter in 2026.

They now need to focus on protecting him.

New York has already declined the option for Evan Neal.

3. New York Jets, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

Projected Win Total: 5.5

Justin Fields only signed a two-year deal with 30 million guaranteed, so if the Jets are picking as high as their projected win total suggests, they certainly will be in the quarterback market.

Sellers could easily be QB1 if he continues to develop at the rate many believe he will.

4. Tennessee Titans, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson

Projected Win Total: 5.5

With their franchise quarterback secured, the Titans can now look to bolster their defense, specifically their pass rush.

Both of their projected starting defensive ends will be free agents in 2026.

5. New Orleans Saints, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

Projected Win Total: 6.5

This is a very obvious connection as the current Saints offensive coordinator, Doug Nussmeier, is Garrett's father.

So, even though the Saints did draft Tyler Shough, I don’t think that would make them pass on the more talented product from down the road at LSU.

6. Carolina Panthers, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Peter Woods, DL, Clemson

Projected Win Total: 6.5

After missing out on Milton Williams and potentially Mason Graham, the Panthers land the consensus best defensive lineman in this class.

Per PFF, Woods is both the highest-graded and most valuable returning Power Four defensive tackle, according to their wins above average metric.

7. Las Vegas Raiders, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

Projected Win Total: 6.5

Downs may be the most talented player in the entire class, ranking No. 1 on most big boards.

However, playing at a non premium position will most likely push him down the draft further than his talent suggests.

Still, Las Vegas should run the card in if he were to fall to them.

8. Indianapolis Colts, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson

Projected Win Total: 7.5

Klubnik was a highly touted five star recruit coming out of high school but did not have the early success in his career many expected.

However, he seemed to start putting everything together last year.

He tied for the most touchdown passes in the country and was eighth in passing yards.

9. New England Patriots, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Rueben Bain Jr, EDGE, Miami

Projected Win Total: 7.5

The Patriots made a lot of additions to their roster that should make an immediate impact, but they could still use a top end pass rusher.

Bain's 73 pressures since 2023 are third among returning Power Four edge defenders, while his 16.9% pass-rush win rate is fourth.

10. Cleveland Browns (From Jaguars), 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

Whether the Browns land Arch Manning or not, they will need to address their offensive line in the 2026 draft.

Jack Conklin is currently set to be a free agent after this season.

Proctor is a massive human at 6-foot-7, 370 pounds, and has been starting at Alabama since his freshman year.

11. Los Angeles Rams (From Falcons), 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

Surprisingly, the Rams did not address their secondary at all in the 2025 draft.

McCoy is coming off an injury but should return for a good portion of this upcoming season and be all systems go come draft time.

12. Dallas Cowboys, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

Projected Win Total: 7.5

While it was rumored the Cowboys were interested in Ashton Jeanty, they do get the best running back in the 2026 draft.

Per PFF, Love was the second-most-valuable back in the nation, according to their wins above average metric, while his 91.0 overall grade was fifth.

13. Seattle Seahawks, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

Projected Win Total:7.5

The Seahawks were wise to invest in the offensive line with their first pick this year, and they should go back to the well again in 2026.

Abe Lucas is a pending free agent, and the line as a whole could still use an upgrade.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State

Projected Win Total: 8.5

As of this moment, we still don’t know who will be the Steelers' starting quarterback in 2025, never mind 2026.

Like Klubnik, Allar was a five star recruit who didn’t get off to the start some had hoped, but he had a very encouraging 2024 season.

If he stays on this trajectory, he can be in the mix for QB1.

15. Minnesota Vikings, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: DJ McKinney, CB, Colorado

Projected Win Total: 8.5

Many thought the Vikings would either go secondary or trade out with their first pick in the 2025 draft, but instead they stayed put and went with the offensive line.

Based on their current roster and contracts, the secondary should be the No. 1 priority in the 2026 draft.

16. Arizona Cardinals, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: CJ Allen, LB, Georgia

Projected Win Total: 8.5

The next in line of great Georgia linebackers, Allen will finally get his chance in a featured role and should have a similar draft ascension as his former teammate Jalon Walker.

17. Miami Dolphins, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson

Projected Win Total: 8.5

Whether or not Jalen Ramsey is still on the roster, the Dolphins need to address the secondary, and the younger brother of A.J. Terrell would be a nice addition.

18. Chicago Bears, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn

Projected Win Total: 8.5

Chicago made a huge investment on offense this offseason, both through the draft and free agency, so defense will most likely be the priority in 2026.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn State

Projected Win Total: 9.5

Tampa Bay made somewhat of a surprise pick going with a wide receiver in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Many expected either an edge or a linebacker.

Dennis-Sutton really came on last season and will start to get more recognition now that Abdul Carter is gone.

20. Houston Texans, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Isaiah World, OT, Oregon

Projected Win Total: 9.5

After trading away Laremy Tunsil, the Texans are lacking high end talent along their offensive line.

World was the No. 1 player in the transfer portal and is heading to Oregon.

He could fill that void.

21. Green Bay Packers, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: LT Overton, DL, Alabama

Projected Win Total: 9.5

Overton was a top 15 five star recruit out of high school who got off to a bit of an underwhelming start to his career at Texas A&M.

It seems like his transfer to Alabama last season rejuvenated his career, and his size and athleticism should put him squarely in Round 1 if he continues to develop this season.

22. Denver Broncos, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

Projected Win Total: 9.5

Another team that surprised us with their first round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Broncos could look to add another weapon to their offense.

Tate is in line to have a big season at Ohio State.

23. Los Angeles Chargers, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Caleb Banks, DL, Florida

Projected Win Total: 9.5

The interior defensive line could use an upgrade as is.

That, coupled with the fact that the majority of them on the roster are set to be free agents in 2026, makes this a priority in next year’s draft.

24. Washington Commanders, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

Projected Win Total: 9.5

It was surprising the Commanders didn’t select an edge rusher at all in the 2025 NFL Draft.

That must change in 2026, and Bailey, who had seven sacks at Stanford last year before transferring to Texas Tech, would be a good start.

25. Cincinnati Bengals, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Christen Miller, DL, Georgia

Projected Win Total: 9.5

The Bengals did go defense with their first two picks, but neither was an interior defensive lineman, which many thought they might.

Miller struggled with injuries last year, but as long as he stays healthy, he should have a big year on the Georgia defense and be firmly in the mix for Round 1.

26. Los Angeles Rams, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Nico Iamaleava, QB, UCLA

Projected Win Total: 9.5

The Giants traded back into the first round presumably to jump ahead of the Rams, who are always lurking for a quarterback.

While he certainly didn’t do himself any favors with how he handled his NIL and subsequent transfer this offseason, Iamaleava has the physical traits that will be hard for scouts to ignore at the next level.

27. San Francisco 49ers, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Anthony Hill Jr, LB, Texas

Projected Win Total: 10.5

San Francisco did a nice job of replenishing all of the talent they lost on defense to free agency via the draft, but Hill is an elite talent that the Niners should still look to add on that side of the ball.

28. Detroit Lions, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Suntarine Perkins, EDGE, Ole Miss

Projected Win Total: 10.5

Aiden Hutchinson will hopefully make a full recovery from his injury and return to form, but either way, the Lions need to address the depth behind him, especially with some of their pending free agents in 2026.

29. Kansas City Chiefs, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Zxavian Harris, DL, Ole Miss

Projected Win Total: 11.5

The Chiefs need to continue to build depth behind Chris Jones, and Harris should be an integral part of the Ole Miss defensive line as he replaces Walter Nolen.

30. Baltimore Ravens, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

Projected Win Total: 11.5

The Ravens improved their secondary by drafting Malaki Starks, but they still need to address outside corner.

Delane, who led Virginia Tech in interceptions last year before transferring to LSU, should be one of the first corners off the board.

31. Philadelphia Eagles, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Keon Sabb, S, Alabama

Projected Win Total: 11.5

Sabb might be talented enough for Howie Roseman to break from his tendencies of not drafting a safety in the first round, but it would stick with his Alabama and Georgia themes.

32. Buffalo Bills, 2026 Draft Pick Prediction: Jalon Kilgore, DB, South Carolina

Projected Win Total: 11.5

Kilgore can play multiple roles on defense, but his primary role of safety is what Buffalo could use the most.

Neither starting safety is signed past 2026.

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Pick Analysis

1. Tennessee Titans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Best Bet: Top 5 Exact Order: Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty (-185).

Who Calls the Shots in the Titans Draft Room?

Mike Borgonzi (first year) joins the Titans after 15 years in the Chiefs organization and will have final say over the roster. Borgonzi spent the past three seasons as Kansas City’s assistant GM, but he does not have a background in college scouting, so director of college scouting Jon Salge will likely play a critical role in the selection process.

2. Cleveland Browns, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Best Bet: Top 5 Exact Order: Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty (-185).

Who Calls the Shots in the Browns Draft Room?

GM Andrew Berry (sixth year) has final say with input from chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta (10th year) and head coach Kevin Stefanski (sixth year).

3. New York Giants, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

Best Bet: Top 5 Exact Order: Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty (-185).

Carter to be the third overall pick is -265.

Who Calls the Shots in the Giants Draft Room?

GM Joe Schoen (fourth year) has final say over roster decisions. He spent the previous five seasons as the assistant general manager to Brandon Beane in Buffalo. Schoen’s background is in college scouting with the Panthers and Dolphins.

4. New England Patriots, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Best Bet: Top 5 Exact Order: Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty (-185).

Who Calls the Shots in the Patriots Draft Room?

Head coach Mike Vrabel (first year) has final say over personnel decisions. The team never hired a GM after Bill Belichick left, leaving Eliot Wolf in charge. Wolf remains the vice president of player personnel. Director of college scouting Camren Williams likely has a strong voice in the draft and should work well with Vrabel 一 Williams played linebacker at Ohio State while Vrabel was on the Buckeyes’ defensive staff.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

Best Bet: Top 5 Exact Order: Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty (-185).

Who Calls the Shots in the Jaguars Draft Room?

It’s unclear. GM James Gladstone, head coach Liam Coen, and VP of football operations Tony Boselli 一 all hired this offseason to roles they have never previously held elsewhere 一 will report directly to owner Shad Khan. This inevitably sets up a power struggle that will play out over the next few seasons. In the short term, they say it will be a collaborative effort.

6. Las Vegas Raiders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kelvin Banks Jr, OL, Texas

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Best Bet: Kelvin Banks Jr. to be the No. 6 pick (+175).

Who Calls the Shots in the Raiders Draft Room?

It’s unclear who has final say in Las Vegas. Pete Carroll had final say over the roster in Seattle, and John Spytek is a first-year GM 一 that might tip the scales in Carroll’s favor. However, Tom Brady played a key role in hiring Spytek, who worked in the Buccaneers’ front office while Brady was there. Since Brady was reportedly running the search for GM and head coach, it’s possible he gave power to Spytek, with whom he has a closer relationship and can more easily control, if he wants input.

7. New York Jets, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

Best Bet: Armand Membou to be the No. 7 pick (+270).

Who Calls the Shots in the Jets Draft Room?

Darren Mougey (first year) has final say over the roster. Aaron Glenn will have a say, but Mougey came up in the college scouting department with the Broncos, so he will likely control most draft-day decisions.

8. Carolina Panthers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Best Bet: Jalon Walker to be the No. 8 pick (+125).

Who Calls the Shots in the Panthers Draft Room?

GM Dan Morgan (second year) was promoted from assistant GM to replace Scott Fitterer last season. Morgan has final say but likely leans heavily on others in the draft. Director of player personnel Cole Spencer and director of college scouting Jared Kirksey likely play key roles due to their experience on the college scouting side of things.

9. New Orleans Saints, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

Best Bet: Mykel Williams to be the No. 9 pick (+250).

Who Calls the Shots in the Saints Draft Room?

GM Mickey Loomis likely has final say, though the power dynamic has been unclear since the departure of Sean Payton (who previously had final say). Since Loomis does not have a background in scouting, assistant GM and director of college personnel Jeff Ireland likely has substantial input in the draft.

10. Chicago Bears, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Best Bet: Tight End to be the first position selected by Chicago (+250).

Who Calls the Shots in the Bears Draft Room?

GM Ryan Poles (fourth year) has final say over roster construction. Poles was previously with the Chiefs since 2009, working under GM Brett Veach as director of player personnel.

11. San Francisco 49ers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Kelvin Banks Jr, OL, Texas

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by San Francisco (-150).

Who Calls the Shots in the 49ers Draft Room?

GM John Lynch (ninth year) has final say over personnel decisions but works closely with Kyle Shanahan.

12. Dallas Cowboys, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Best Bet: Wide Receiver to be the first position selected by Dallas (-250).

Who Calls the Shots in the Cowboys Draft Room?

Director of player personnel Stephen Jones effectively acts as the general manager with significant input from VP of player personnel Will McClay. Obviously, owner Jerry Jones has been known to step in and make decisions as well.

13. Miami Dolphins, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by Miami (+350).

Who Calls the Shots in the Dolphins Draft Room?

GM Chris Grier (10th year) has final say over personnel decisions but accepts significant input from Mike McDaniel.

14. Indianapolis Colts, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Best Bet: Tight End to be the first position selected by Indianapolis (+100).

Who Calls the Shots in the Colts Draft Room?

GM Chris Ballard (ninth year) has final say over roster construction.

15. Atlanta Falcons, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by Atlanta (-360).

Who Calls the Shots in the Falcons Draft Room?

GM Terry Fontenot (fifth year) has final say over the roster. Beginning in 2024, he likely gained more power as CEO Rich McKay (Atlanta’s former GM) took a step back from participating in the team’s day-to-day operations. Fontenot began reporting directly to owner Arthur Blank

16. Arizona Cardinals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

Best Bet: Wide Receiver to be the first position selected by Arizona (+300).

Who Calls the Shots in the Cardinals Draft Room?

GM Monti Ossenfort (third year) likely has final say over the Cardinals roster, though the team has not officially confirmed this. Ossenfort is a former director of college scouting (Patriots) and director of player personnel (Titans), and his assistant GM is former Lions director of college scouting Dave Sears

17. Cincinnati Bengals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by Cincinnati (-210).

Who Calls the Shots in the Bengals Draft Room?

Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin has final say over roster construction.

18. Seattle Seahawks, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State

Best Bet: Offensive Line to be the first position selected by Seattle (-125).

Who Calls the Shots in the Seahawks Draft Room?

GM John Schneider is entering his 16th year in this role, but it will be his second with final say over the roster — Pete Carroll previously held that power. Schneider does not have a background in college scouting, so senior director of player personnel Matt Berry and director of college scouting Aaron Hineline likely have strong voices in the draft room due to their experience on the college scouting side of things.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Best Bet: Linebacker to be the first position selected by Tampa Bay (+190).

Who Calls the Shots in the Buccaneers Draft Room?

GM Jason Licht (12th year) has final say over the roster.

20. Denver Broncos, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Best Bet: Running Back to be the first position selected by Denver (-150).

Who Calls the Shots in the Broncos Draft Room?

GM George Paton (fifth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Before joining Denver, he spent the majority of his career as Rick Spielman’s right-hand man in Minnesota and Miami. It is assumed that Sean Payton has significant power as well, though the Broncos have stated Paton remains in control of the roster.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Best Bet: Quarterback to be the first position selected by Pittsburgh (-135).

Who Calls the Shots in the Steelers Draft Room?

GM Omar Khan (third year) took over last year from Kevin Colbert, who ran the team for 23 years. Khan likely has final say over the roster, though it is a collaborative effort with assistant GM Andy Weidl (third year) and Mike Tomlin. Khan has been with Pittsburgh since 2001, but his background is in the administrative side of the team. Weidl joined the team from the Eagles, where he was vice president of player personnel and has extensive experience in scouting.

22. Los Angeles Chargers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by Chargers (+125).

Who Calls the Shots in the Chargers Draft Room?

It’s unclear who has the final say over the roster, though it is assumed that power belongs to Jim Harbaugh (second year). However, the draft is likely run primarily by GM Joe Hortiz (second year), who was the Ravens' longtime director of college scouting.

23. Green Bay Packers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

Best Bet: Wide Receiver to be the first position selected by Green Bay (+300).

Who Calls the Shots in the Packers Draft Room?

GM Brian Gutekunst (eighth year) has final say over the roster, but Gutekunst, director of football operations Russ Ball, and head coach Matt LaFleur all report directly to president/CEO Mark Murphy. This structure theoretically gives more personnel influence to Ball and LaFleur than if they reported directly to the GM, as most front offices are organized.

TRADE: 24. New York Giants, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina (Vikings)

Projected Trade: New York receives pick 24. Minnesota receives picks 34, 99, and a 2026 third-round pick.

Best Bet: Jaxson Dart Draft Position Under 24.5 (+100).

25. Houston Texans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

Best Bet: Total Offensive Lineman to be Drafted in Round One Over 6.5 (-200).

Who Calls the Shots in the Texans Draft Room?

GM Nick Caserio has final say over the roster. This is Caserio’s fifth year with Houston but just his third year since the firing of Executive VP Jack Easterby, who played a confusing role in the organization and held significant power as well. So it’s fair to say this is only Caserio’s third year with full control.

26. Los Angeles Rams, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Best Bet: Cornerback to be the first position selected by Los Angeles (+250).

Who Calls the Shots in the Rams Draft Room?

GM Les Snead (14th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

27. Baltimore Ravens, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

Best Bet: Safety to be the first position selected by Baltimore (+400).

Who Calls the Shots in the Ravens Draft Room?

GM Eric DeCosta (seventh year as GM, 27th year in the organization) controls roster construction and has maintained a similar approach to his former boss, Ozzie Newsome.

28. Detroit Lions, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by Detroit (-200).

Who Calls the Shots in the Lions Draft Room?

GM Brad Holmes (fifth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Holmes was a longtime director of college scouting with the Rams before joining Detroit, and managing the draft is his strength.

29. Washington Commanders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee

Best Bet: Defensive Line/EDGE to be the first position selected by Washington (+145).

Who Calls the Shots in the Commanders Draft Room?

GM Adam Peters (second year) has final say over the personnel decisions.

30. Buffalo Bills, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Best Bet: Safety to be the first position selected by Buffalo (+550).

Who Calls the Shots in the Bills Draft Room?

GM Brandon Beane (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but head coach Sean McDermott’s opinion is believed to carry equal weight. McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 and also worked together for six seasons in Carolina.

31. Kansas City Chiefs, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Best Bet: Offensive Line to be the first position selected by Kansas City (-170).

Who Calls the Shots in the Chiefs Draft Room?

GM Brett Veach (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but Andy Reid’s opinion carries significant weight. The two have worked together since Reid hired Veach as a coaching intern in 2004, and Veach followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013.

32. Philadelphia Eagles, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Josh Conerly Jr, OT, Oregon

Previous selection in Mock Draft 5.0: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss

Best Bet: Offensive Line to be the first position selected by Philadelphia (+350).

Who Calls the Shots in the Eagles Draft Room?

GM Howie Roseman (16th year) has final say over the roster. Roseman has held the title of general manager and/or executive vice president of football operations since 2010, but he did not control the roster during Andy Reid and Chip Kelly’s tenures. Roseman gained full control of personnel decisions in 2016.

The 2024 NFL Draft is now in the rearview mirror, so it is time to turn our attention to the 2025 class.

What quarterbacks might go near the top of the 2025 NFL Draft? Which teams might need those quarterbacks? Which defensive players could crash the party?

Only time will tell, but here is how things look a year out from the 2025 NFL Draft.

1. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado (Trade With Carolina)

Projected Win Total: 6.5

  • After missing out on all of the top six quarterbacks in the 2024 Draft, the Raiders do not let that happen again, trading up from the No. 7 pick to secure the consensus top quarterback in the draft. Sanders is the current favorite to be the first overall pick at +100.

Who Calls the Shots in Raiders Draft Room?

GM Tom Telesco (first year) has final say over the roster. He previously spent 11 years in the same role with the Chargers

2. New York Giants: Carson Beck, QB, Georgia (Trade With New England)

Projected Win Total: 6.5

  • As with the Raiders, the Giants did not get a top quarterback in the 2024 Draft, but according to reports, they did try to trade up with the Patriots to select Drake Maye. This year, they are able to actually pull off the trade with the Patriots to get Carson Beck, who at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds has similar physical characteristics to Maye.

Who Calls the Shots in Giants Draft Room?

GM Joe Schoen (third year) has final say over roster decisions. He spent the previous five seasons as the Assistant GM to Brandon Beane in Buffalo.

3. Denver Broncos: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Projected Win Total: 5.5

  • Arguably the best player in all of college football doesn’t have to go far as Denver needs explosive playmakers on both sides of the ball and Hunter has the incredibly unique ability to do both. Although he is expected to be primarily a cornerback at the next level, who knows what Sean Payton may have planned for him.

Who Calls the Shots in the Broncos Draft Room?

GM George Paton (fourth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Prior to joining Denver, he spent the majority of his career as Rick Spielman’s right-hand man in Minnesota and Miami. It is assumed that Sean Payton has significant power as well, though the Broncos have stated Paton remains in control of the roster.

4. New England Patriots: Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas (Trade With New York Giants)

Projected Win Total: 5.5

  • After getting their franchise quarterback in the 2024 Draft, the Patriots are able to trade down for “the bag” and still secure the future blindside protector for Drake Maye.

Who Calls the Shots in Patriots Draft Room?

The Patriots have not hired a general manager to take over for Bill Belichick, who held those duties throughout his tenure. That appears to leave Eliot Wolf in control of the roster. Alonzo Highsmith, who worked with Wolf in Green Bay, was also hired this offseason to play a significant role. Matt Groh, who has been in the team’s scouting department for 14 years, will also have a say in the process

5. Tennessee Titans: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Projected Win Total: 6.5

  • After missing out on Joe Alt, the Titans did address their starting right tackle need in JC Latham, but now they fill their need at left tackle that they weren’t able to do in 2024.

Who Calls the Shots in Titans Draft Room?

GM Ran Carthon (second year) has final say over the roster. Carthon was previously the 49ers’ Director of Player Personnel. Director of College Scouting Jon Salge (eighth year) will likely be heavily involved as well. The firing of Mike Vrabel was perceived to be due to, at least in part, a clash with Carthon over roster construction. The hiring of first-year HC Brian Callahan likely gives more control to Carthon.

6. Washington Commanders: Emery Jones, OT, LSU

Projected Win Total: 6.5

  • Unable to address their offensive line need in the 2024 Draft, the Commanders make it back-to-back offensive tackles from LSU and take Jones, who will play right tackle this season but may project over to left tackle in the NFL.

Who Calls the Shots in Commanders Draft Room?

GM Adam Peters (first year) has final say over the personnel decisions. He joins the team after seven years with the 49ers, most recently as John Lynch’s Assistant GM. He previously served as the Broncos’ Director of College Scouting under John Elway. HC Dan Quinn will likely have significant input in selecting defensive players, as he’s always had strong preferences on who fits his scheme.

7. Carolina Panthers: James Pearce Jr, EDGE, Tennessee (Trade With Las Vegas)

Projected Win Total: 4.5

  • We had to wait all the way until pick 15 in the 2024 Draft before the first defensive player was taken, and we have another long wait in 2025 before the consensus top defensive player goes off the board.

Who Calls the Shots in the Panthers Draft Room?

GM Dan Morgan (first year) was promoted from Assistant GM to replace Scott Fitterer, who only had final say over the roster for one season after taking control when Matt Rhule was fired. Carolina has not stated who has final say, but it is likely Morgan given his experience in the organization and Dave Canales’ status as a first-year head coach.

8. Arizona Cardinals: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

Projected Win Total: 6.5

  • The Cardinals go back-to-back wide receivers with their first pick in the draft. Even after selecting Marvin Harrison Jr, Arizona could still use another weapon in their wide receiver room.

Who Calls the Shots in Cardinals Draft Room?

GM Monti Ossenfort (second year) likely has final say over the Cardinals roster, though the team has not officially confirmed this. Ossenfort is a former Director of College Scouting (Patriots) and Director of Player Personnel (Titans), and his Assistant GM is former Lions Director of College Scouting Dave Sears.

9. Minnesota Vikings: Mason Graham, DL, Michigan

Projected Win Total: 7.5

  • In some of the trade rumors surrounding the Vikings before the draft, it was thought they may have to give up their 2025 first-round pick to move up. Instead, they were able to hang onto it after only moving up one spot and still get J.J. McCarthy. It is a good thing they did as their top three defensive tackles currently on the roster all have expiring contracts in 2025.

Who Calls the Shots in Vikings Draft Room?

GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (third year) has final say over the roster. He has a background in analytics and previously worked under Andrew Berry in Cleveland. Since Adofo-Mensah’s background is not in scouting, Director of College Scouting Mike Sholiton likely plays a significant role in the draft.

10. New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams, DL, Georgia

Projected Win Total: 7.5

  • This pick may depend on the health of Ryan Ramczyk as the Saints may be forced to go to the offensive line in back-to-back years, but hopefully he will be able to continue to play and the Saints can grab the very talented Williams to help boost their defense instead.

11. Seattle Seahawks: Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

Projected Win Total: 7.5

  • Seattle was rumored to be in on the quarterbacks in the draft this year. Instead, they wait one year and get Ewers, who was the No. 1 ranked overall recruit coming out of high school.

Who Calls the Shots in Seahawks Draft Room?

GM John Schneider is entering his 15th year in this role, but it will be his first with final say over the roster, as Pete Carroll previously held that power. Schneider does not have a background in college scouting, so Senior Director of Player Personnel Matt Berry and Director of College Scouting Aaron Hineline likely have strong voices in the draft room.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

Projected Win Total: 7.5

  • Tampa Bay did a lot to address their offense this offseason by signing Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans to contract extensions while also selecting Graham Barton in the first round, so defense will be the priority in 2025.

Who Calls the Shots in Buccaneers Draft Room?

GM Jason Licht (11th year) has final say over the roster.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers: Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio St.

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • This pick may be contingent on how the quarterback play is for Pittsburgh this season, but assuming one of Russell Wilson or Justin Fields pans out, then Burke would be a very nice addition to the secondary for the Steelers.

Who Calls the Shots in Steelers Draft Room?

GM Omar Khan (second year) took over last year from Kevin Colbert, who ran the team for 23 years. Khan likely has final say over the roster, though it is a collaborative effort with Assistant GM Andy Weidl (second year) and Mike Tomlin. Khan has been with Pittsburgh since 2001, but his background is in the administrative side of the team. Weidl joined the team from the Eagles, where he was Vice President of Player Personnel and has extensive experience in scouting.

14. Indianapolis Colts: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • Three cornerbacks go off the board in the row as all three teams had a big need at that position but were not able to address it early in the 2024 Draft or via free agency.

Who Calls the Shots in Colts Draft Room?

GM Chris Ballard (eighth year) has final say over roster construction.

15. Jacksonville Jaguars: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn St.

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • Carter has the physical traits and tools that GM Trent Baalke typically covets in his early-round defensive picks.

Who Calls the Shots in Jaguars Draft Room?

GM Trent Baalke (fourth year) and HC Doug Pederson (second year) supposedly share control of the roster. The Jaguars have not publicly stated who has the final say, although it’s likely Baalke considering he participated in the hiring of Pederson and has a background in scouting.

16. Cleveland Browns: Harold Perkins, EDGE, LSU

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • Perkins was moved inside last year, but it sounds like LSU has admitted that was a mistake and plans to move him outside. That could certainly boost the stock of the very talented Perkins much higher than this.

Who Calls the Shots in the Browns Draft Room?

GM Andrew Berry (fifth year) has final say with input from Chief Strategy Officer Paul DePodesta (ninth year) and HC Kevin Stefanski (fifth year).

17. Chicago Bears: Patrick Payton, EDGE, Florida St.

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • The Bears went all-in on offense in the first round of the 2024 Draft as the thought of pairing up Rome Odunze with Caleb Williams was too good to pass up, but now they turn to the defense with Payton.

Who Calls the Shots in Bears Draft Room?

GM Ryan Poles (third year) has final say over roster construction. Poles was previously with the Chiefs, working under GM Brett Veach as director of player personnel.

18. Los Angeles Rams: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • With the uncertainty around how much longer Matthew Stafford wants to play for, it was rumored that the Rams were looking at quarterbacks in this draft. They are able to wait a year and get Sean McVay a very toolsy prospect to work with.

Who Calls the Shots in Rams Draft Room?

GM Les Snead (13th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

19. Los Angeles Chargers: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan

Projected Win Total: 8.5

  • After showing he truly is focused on the trenches, Harbaugh does it again but this time on the defensive side with a defensive tackle who he is very familiar with and who can stop the run.

Who Calls the Shots in Chargers Draft Room?

It’s unclear who has the final say over the roster, though it is assumed that power belongs to Jim Harbaugh (first year). However, the draft will likely be run primarily by GM Joe Hortiz (first year), who was the Ravens’ longtime Director of College Scouting and, most recently, their Director of Player Personnel.

20. New York Jets: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio St.

Projected Win Total: 9.5

  • Unable to get one of the top three receivers with the 10th pick in this draft, the Jets pounce on Garret Wilson’s former teammate at Ohio St.

Who Calls the Shots in Jets Draft Room?

GM Joe Douglas (sixth year) has final say over personnel decisions.

21. Houston Texans: J.T. Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio St.

Projected Win Total: 9.5

  • Another case of former Ohio St. teammates joining each other with Tuimoloau joining C.J. Stroud and helping bolster a defense to make the Texans one of the more exciting up-and-coming teams in the league.

Who Calls the Shots in the Texans Draft Room?

GM Nick Caserio has final say over the roster. This is Caserio’s fourth year with Houston, but just his second year since the firing of Executive VP Jack Easterby, who played a confusing role in the organization and held significant power as well. So it’s fair to say this is only Caserio’s second year with full control.

22. Atlanta Falcons: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss

Projected Win Total: 9.5

  • The Falcons made the most shocking pick of the 2024 Draft when they took Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth overall selection when most believed they would go with the best defensive player on the board. Assuming they don’t pull off another shocker in 2025, the Falcons should take the best defensive player left on the board.

Who Calls the Shots in Falcons Draft Room?

GM Terry Fontenot (third year) has final say over the roster and may actually have more control than in the previous two seasons as Fontenot now reports directly to owner Arthur Blank. CEO Rich McKay (Atlanta’s former GM) is no longer involved in day-to-day football operations.

23. Miami Dolphins: Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama

Projected Win Total: 9.5

  • Miami did address their offensive line early in the draft, but only at tackle. Booker, who may be the best guard in the draft, will help fortify the middle of their line.

Who Calls the Shots in the Dolphins Draft Room?

GM Chris Grier (eighth year) has final say over personnel decisions but accepts significant input from Mike McDaniel.

24. Green Bay Packers: Malaki Starks, DB, Georgia

Projected Win Total: 9.5

  • A versatile defensive back would be a great addition to the Packers' secondary, assuming he checks off all of the athletic traits that GM Brian Gutekunkst usually looks for in his Round 1 draft picks.

Who Calls the Shots in Packers Draft Room?

GM Brian Gutekunst (sixth year) has final say over the roster, but Gutekunst, Director of Football Operations Russ Ball, and HC Matt LaFleur all report directly to President/CEO Mark Murphy. This structure theoretically gives more personnel influence to Ball and LaFleur than if they reported directly to the GM, as most front offices are organized.

25. Dallas Cowboys: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Projected Win Total: 10.5

  • Jerry Jones and company typically go with the consensus best player available on big boards, and in this case it happens to also be at a position of need. This could be quarterback, however, depending on what happens with Dak Prescott next offseason.

Who Calls the Shots in Cowboys Draft Room?

Director of Player Personnel Stephen Jones effectively acts as the General Manager with significant input from VP of Player Personnel Will McClay. Obviously, owner Jerry Jones has been known to step in and make decisions as well.

26. Buffalo Bills: Evan Stewart, WR, Texas A&M

Projected Win Total: 10.5

  • Buffalo did address the huge need at wide receiver at the top of the second round with Keon Coleman, but they need to continue to give Josh Allen weapons to work with.

Who Calls the Shots in Bills Draft Room?

GM Brandon Beane (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but HC Sean McDermott’s opinion is believed to carry equal weight. McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 and also worked together for six seasons in Carolina.

27. Philadelphia Eagles: Josh Conerly Jr, OL, Oregon

Projected Win Total: 10.5

  • I thought Howie Roseman and the Eagles might go with an offensive lineman early in this year’s draft. Instead, they doubled up on cornerbacks with their first two picks, which was a bigger need but also went against their usual philosophy.

Who Calls the Shots in Eagles Draft Room?

GM Howie Roseman (13th year) has final say over the roster. Roseman has held the title of General Manager and/or Executive Vice President of Football Operations since 2010, however, he did not control the roster during Andy Reid‘s and Chip Kelly’s tenures. Roseman gained full control of personnel decisions in 2016

28. Detroit Lions: Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio St.

Projected Win Total: 10.5

  • Marcus Davenport was only signed to a one-year deal, so Sawyer can come in and start Day 1 but also be the future bookend to go along with Aidan Hutchinson.

Who Calls the Shots in Lions Draft Room?

GM Brad Holmes (fourth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Holmes was a longtime Director of College Scouting with the Rams before joining Detroit, and managing the draft is his strength.

29. Cincinnati Bengals: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Projected Win Total: 11.5

  • If Tee Higgins, who is currently on a franchise tag, does leave next offseason, the Bengals will need to add some playmakers to their offense for Joe Burrow. Loveland is considered the top tight end in the class.

Who Calls the Shots in Bengals Draft Room?

Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin has final say over roster construction.

30. Baltimore Ravens: Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio St.

Projected Win Total: 11.5

  • I was surprised Baltimore didn’t go offensive line with their first pick this year. Although they did get Roger Rosengarten in the second round, offensive line should still be their priority in 2025.

Who Calls the Shots in Ravens Draft Room?

GM Eric DeCosta (sixth year as GM, 27th year in the organization) controls roster construction and has maintained a similar approach to his former boss Ozzie Newsome.

31. San Francisco 49ers: Denver Harris, CB, LSU

Projected Win Total: 11.5

  • The Niners did add Renardo Green in the second round, but Charvarius Ward is a pending free agent in 2025. Cornerback could still be a position of need early in the draft next year.

Who Calls the Shots in the 49ers Draft Room?

GM John Lynch (eighth year) has final say over personnel decisions.

32. Kansas City Chiefs: Noah Thomas, WR, Texas A&M

Projected Win Total: 11.5

  • Based on the draft this year, I am sure someone will come back into the first round to take quarterback Cam Ward if he is still available at this point, but Kansas City should keep investing in weapons for Patrick Mahomes even after getting Xavier Worthy. At 6-foot-6, Thomas provides a much different skill set for Mahomes to work with.

Who Calls the Shots in Chiefs Draft Room?

GM Brett Veach (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but Andy Reid’s opinion carries significant weight. The two have worked together since Reid hired Veach as a coaching intern in 2004, and Veach followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013.

2024 NFL Mock Draft: Pick Analysis

1. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

  • Best Bet: Draft Pick Parlay Williams 1, Daniels 2, Maye 3, Harrison Jr. 4 (-170)

Who calls the shots in the Bears draft room?

GM Ryan Poles (third year) has final say over roster construction. Poles was previously with the Chiefs, working under GM Brett Veach as Director of Player Personnel.

2. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

  • Best Bet: Draft Pick Parlay Williams 1, Daniels 2, Maye 3, Harrison Jr. 4 (-170)

Who calls the shots in the Commanders draft room?

GM Adam Peters (first year) has final say over the personnel decisions. He joins the team after seven years with the 49ers, most recently as John Lynch’s Assistant GM. He previously served as the Broncos’ Director of College Scouting under John Elway. HC Dan Quinn will likely have significant input in selecting defensive players, as he’s always had strong preferences on who fits his scheme.

3. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

  • Best Bet: Drake Maye No. 3 Pick (-240)

Who calls the shots in the Patriots draft room?

The Patriots have not hired a general manager to take over for Bill Belichick, who held those duties throughout his tenure. That appears to leave Eliot Wolf in control of the roster. Alonzo Highsmith, who worked with Wolf in Green Bay, was also hired this offseason to play a significant role. Matt Groh, who has been in the team’s scouting department for 14 years, will also have a say in the process.

4. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State

  • Best Bet: Marvin Harrison No. 4 pick (-250)

Who calls the shots in the Cardinals draft room?

GM Monti Ossenfort (second year) likely has final say over the Cardinals roster, though the team has not officially confirmed this. Ossenfort is a former Director of College Scouting (Patriots) and Director of Player Personnel (Titans), and his Assistant GM is former Lions Director of College Scouting Dave Sears.

TRADE: 5. Minnesota Vikings: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

  • Trade: Los Angeles Receives Picks 11 and 23. Minnesota Receives Pick 5.
  • Best Bet: J.J. McCarthy No. 5 pick (+330)

Who calls the shots in the Vikings draft room?

GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (third year) has final say over the roster. He has a background in analytics and previously worked under Andrew Berry in Cleveland. Since Adofo-Mensah’s background is not in scouting, Director of College Scouting Mike Sholiton likely plays a significant role in the draft.

6. New York Giants: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

  • Best Bet: Malik Nabers No. 7 pick (+160)

Who calls the shots in the Giants draft room?

GM Joe Schoen (third year) has final say over roster decisions. He spent the previous five seasons as the Assistant GM to Brandon Beane in Buffalo.

7. Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

  • Best Bet: Titans position of first player selected offensive line (-320)

Who calls the shots in the Titans draft room?

GM Ran Carthon (second year) has final say over the roster. Carthon was previously the 49ers’ Director of Player Personnel. Director of College Scouting Jon Salge (eighth year) will likely be heavily involved as well. The firing of Mike Vrabel was perceived to be due to, at least in part, a clash with Carthon over roster construction. The hiring of first-year HC Brian Callahan likely gives more control to Carthon.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

  • Best Bet: Dallas Turner No. 8 pick (+165)

Who calls the shots in the Falcons draft room?

GM Terry Fontenot (third year) has final say over the roster and may actually have more control than in the previous two seasons as Fontenot now reports directly to owner Arthur Blank. CEO Rich McKay (Atlanta’s former GM) is no longer involved in day-to-day football operations.

9. Chicago Bears: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

  • Best Bet: Rome Odunze No. 9 pick (+350)

10. New York Jets: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

  • Best Bet: Taliese Fuaga No. 10 pick (+600)

Who calls the shots in the Jets draft room?

GM Joe Douglas (sixth year) has final say over personnel decisions.

TRADE: 11. Los Angeles Chargers: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

  • Best Bet: JC Latham draft position under 12.5 (-280)

Who calls the shots in the Chargers draft room?

It’s unclear who has the final say over the roster, though it is assumed that power belongs to Harbaugh (first year). However, the draft will likely be run primarily by GM Joe Hortiz (first year), who was the Ravens’ longtime Director of College Scouting and, most recently, their Director of Player Personnel.

TRADE: 12. Cincinnati Bengals: Byron Murphy II, DL, Texas

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State (Commanders)

  • Trade: Denver Receives Picks 18 and 49. Cincinnati Receives Picks 12, 121, and 136.
  • Best Bet: Bengals position of first player selected DL/EDGE (+250)

Who calls the shots in the Bengals draft room?

Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin has final say over roster construction.

13. Las Vegas Raiders: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

  • Best Bet: Raiders position of first player selected cornerback (+225)

Who calls the shots in the Raiders draft room?

GM Tom Telesco (first year) has final say over the roster. He previously spent 11 years in the same role with the Chargers.

14. New Orleans Saints: Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

  • Best Bet: Saints position of first player selected offensive line (-400)

Who calls the shots in the Saints draft room?

GM Mickey Loomis likely has final say, though the power dynamic has been unclear since the departure of Sean Payton (who previously had final say). Since Loomis does not have a background in scouting, Assistant GM and Director of College Personnel Jeff Ireland likely has substantial input in the draft.

15. Indianapolis Colts: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

  • Best Bet: Brock Bowers to be selected by Colts (+300)

Who calls the shots in the Colts draft room?

GM Chris Ballard (eighth year) has final say over roster construction.

TRADE: 16. Philadelphia Eagles: Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington (Seahawks)

  • Trade: Seattle Receives Picks 22 and 50. Philadelphia Receives Picks 16, 81, and 192.
  • Best Bet: Eagles position of first player selected offensive lineman (+105)

Who calls the shots in the Eagles draft room?

GM Howie Roseman (13th year) has final say over the roster. Roseman has held the title of General Manager and/or Executive Vice President of Football Operations since 2010. However, he did not control the roster during Andy Reid‘s and Chip Kelly’s tenures. Roseman gained full control of personnel decisions in 2016.

Fantasy Package

17. Jacksonville Jaguars: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

  • Best Bet: Quinyon Mitchell second cornerback selected (+155)

Who calls the shots in the Jaguars draft room?

GM Trent Baalke (fourth year) and HC Doug Pederson (second year) supposedly share control of the roster. The Jaguars have not publicly stated who has the final say, although it’s likely Baalke considering he participated in the hiring of Pederson and has a background in scouting.

TRADE: 18. Denver Broncos: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Byron Murphy II, DL, Texas (Bengals)

  • Best Bet: Broncos position of first player selected DL/EDGE (+190)

Who Calls the Shots in the Broncos Draft Room?

GM George Paton (fourth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Prior to joining Denver, he spent the majority of his career as Rick Spielman’s right-hand man in Minnesota and Miami. It is assumed that Sean Payton has significant power as well, though the Broncos have stated Paton remains in control of the roster.

19. Los Angeles Rams: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

  • Best Bet: Rams position of first player selected wide receiver (+350)

Who calls the shots in the Rams draft room?

GM Les Snead (13th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Graham Barton, OL, Duke

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

  • Best Bet: Graham Barton draft position under 21.5 (-230)

Who calls the shots in the Steelers draft room?

GM Omar Khan (second year) took over last year from Kevin Colbert, who ran the team for 23 years. Khan likely has final say over the roster, though it is a collaborative effort with Assistant GM Andy Weidl (second year) and Mike Tomlin. Khan has been with Pittsburgh since 2001, but his background is in the administrative side of the team. Weidl joined the team from the Eagles, where he was Vice President of Player Personnel and has extensive experience in scouting.

21. Miami Dolphins: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State (Cardinals)

  • Best Bet: Dolphins position of first player selected DL/EDGE (+155)

Who Calls the Shots in the Dolphins Draft Room?

GM Chris Grier (eighth year) has final say over personnel decisions but accepts significant input from Mike McDaniel.

TRADE: 22. Seattle Seahawks: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU (Bills)

  • Best Bet: Seahawks position of first player selected cornerback (+190)

Who calls the shots in the Seahawks draft room?

GM John Schneider is entering his 15th year in this role, but it will be his first with final say over the roster since Pete Carroll previously held that power. Schneider does not have a background in college scouting, so Senior Director of Player Personnel Matt Berry and Director of College Scouting Aaron Hineline likely have strong voices in the draft room.

TRADE: 23. Los Angeles Chargers: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

  • Best Bet: Nate Wiggins draft position under 26.5 (+190)

24. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

  • Best Bet: Cowboys position of first player selected offensive line (-235)

Who calls the shots in the Cowboys draft room?

Director of Player Personnel Stephen Jones effectively acts as the general manager with significant input from VP of Player Personnel Will McClay. Obviously, owner Jerry Jones has been known to step in and make decisions as well.

25. Green Bay Packers: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Graham Barton, OL, Duke

  • Best Bet: Packers position of first player selected offensive line (-170)

Who calls the shots in the Packers draft room?

GM Brian Gutekunst (sixth year) has final say over the roster, but Gutekunst, Director of Football Operations Russ Ball, and HC Matt LaFleur all report directly to President/CEO Mark Murphy. This structure theoretically gives more personnel influence to Ball and LaFleur than if they reported directly to the GM, as most front offices are organized.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

  • Best Bet: Chop Robinson draft position under 26.5 (-190)

Who calls the shots in the Buccaneers draft room?

GM Jason Licht (11th year) has final say over the roster.

27. Arizona Cardinals: Jer’Zhan Newton, DL, Illinois

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Jer'Zhan Newton, DL, Illinois (Dolphins)

  • Best Bet: Total DL/EDGE players selected in 1st round under 6.5 (-200)

28. Buffalo Bills: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson (Eagles)

  • Best Bet: Brian Thomas draft position over 19.5 (-195)

Who calls the shots in the Bills draft room?

GM Brandon Beane (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but HC Sean McDermott’s opinion is believed to carry equal weight. McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 and also worked together for six seasons in Carolina.

29. Detroit Lions: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

  • Best Bet: Lions position of first player drafted cornerback (+135)

Who calls the shots in the Lions draft room?

GM Brad Holmes (fourth year) has final say over personnel decisions. Holmes was a longtime Director of College Scouting with the Rams before joining Detroit, and managing the draft is his strength.

30. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Morgan, OL, Arizona

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Jordan Morgan, OL, Arizona

  • Best Bet: Jordan Morgan draft position under 32.5 (-175)

Who calls the shots in the Ravens draft room?

GM Eric DeCosta (sixth year as GM, 27th year in the organization) controls roster construction and has maintained a similar approach to his former boss Ozzie Newsome.

TRADE: 31. Las Vegas Raiders: Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington

  • Trade: San Francisco Receives Picks 44 and 77. Las Vegas Receives Picks 31 and 124.
  • Best Bet: Michael Penix draft position under 32.5 (-370)

32. Kansas City Chiefs: Kingsley Suamataia, OL, BYU

Previous selection in Mock Draft 4.0: Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

  • Best Bet: Kingsley Suamataia to be selected in the 1st Round (+140)

Who calls the shots in the Chiefs draft room?

GM Brett Veach (eighth year) officially has final say over the roster, but Andy Reid’s opinion carries significant weight. The two have worked together since Reid hired Veach as a coaching intern in 2004, and Veach followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013.

Earlier 2023 NFL mock drafts from Brendan Donahue:

1. Carolina Panthers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Young

  • Betting Angle: N/A

Who calls the shots in the Panthers’ draft room?

GM Scott Fitterer (third year) will have final say over the Panthers roster for the first time in his tenure, taking that role from Matt Rhule. Despite the new power structure, head coach Frank Reich is expected to have significant input.

2. Houston Texans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Will Anderson Jr., EDGE, Alabama

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: C.J. Stroud, QB

  • Betting Angle: To Be Selected Second Overall +175

Who calls the shots in the Texans' draft room?

GM Nick Caserio (third year) has final say over the roster. In previous years, executive VP Jack Easterby (third year) was heavily involved in all aspects of the organization, but Easterby has since been fired, potentially giving more control to Caserio. With DeMeco Ryans in his first year as a head coach, Caserio likely has firm control over the roster.

3. Arizona Cardinals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Anthony Richardson (Titans)

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Offensive Lineman +100

Who calls the shots in the Cardinals’ draft room?

First-year GM Monti Ossenfort likely has final say over the Cardinals roster, though the team has not officially confirmed this. Ossenfort is a former director of college scouting (Patriots) and director of player personnel (Titans), and his assistant GM is former Lions director of college scouting Dave Sears.

4. Indianapolis Colts, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Levis

Betting Angle: To Be Selected 4th Overall +150

Who calls the shots in the Colts' draft room?

GM Chris Ballard (seventh year) has final say over roster construction.

5. Seattle Seahawks, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Will Anderson Jr., Edge

  • Betting Angle: Draft Position Over 4.5 +100

Who calls the shots in Seahawks' draft room?

Head coach Pete Carroll (14th year) has final say over personnel decisions but works in tandem with GM John Schneider (14th year).

6. Detroit Lions, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Witherspoon

  • Betting Angle: To Be Selected Sixth Overall -130

Who calls the shots in Lions' draft room?

GM Brad Holmes (third year) has final say over personnel decisions. This will be his first year working without his director of college scouting, Dave Sears, who took the assistant GM job in Arizona.

7. Las Vegas Raiders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Christian Gonzalez, CB

  • Betting Angle: Third Quarterback Selected +100

Who calls the shots in the Raiders’ draft room?

GM Dave Ziegler (second year, spent previous nine seasons in Patriots front office) has final say over the roster, though head coach Josh McDaniels (second year) likely has significant input. McDaniels and Ziegler were college teammates at John Carroll, and it was McDaniels who helped Ziegler get his first NFL job with the Broncos when McDaniels was their head coach.

8. Atlanta Falcons, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Nolan Smith, EDGE

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Running Back +150

Who calls the shots in the Falcons’ draft room?

GM Terry Fontenot (second year) has the final say over roster construction.

9. Chicago Bears, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Johnson Jr., OL

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Offensive Lineman -170

Who calls the shots in the Bears' draft room?

GM Ryan Poles (second year) has final say over roster construction. Poles was previously with the Chiefs since 2009, most recently working under GM Brett Veach as director of player personnel.

10. Philadelphia Eagles, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Carter

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Defensive Lineman/Edge -105

Who calls the shots in the Eagles' draft room?

GM Howie Roseman (12th year) has final say over the roster. Roseman has held the title of general manager and/or executive vice president of football operations since 2010, however, he did not control the roster during Andy Reid’s or Chip Kelly’s tenures. Roseman gained full control of personnel decisions in 2016.

11. Tennessee Titans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Tyree Wilson, Edge (Cardinals)

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Quarterback -105

Who calls the shots in the Titans’ draft room?

The Titans have refused to address this question since hiring Ran Carthon this offseason. Former GM Jon Robinson had final say, but it was Robinson who hired Mike Vrabel, making that distinction easier. Vrabel’s tenure may now give him more sway than Carthon, who was previously the 49ers’ director of player personnel. Director of college scouting Jon Salge (seventh year) will likely be heavily involved as well.

12. Houston Texans, Draft Pick Prediction: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Smith-Njigba

  • Betting Angle: Which Team Will Select Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Texans +700

13. Green Bay Packers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Peter Skoronski, OL (Jets)

  • Betting Angle: First Tight End Selected +150

Who calls the shots in the Packers' draft room?

GM Brian Gutekunst (fifth year) has final say over the roster, but Gutekunst, director of football operations Russ Ball, and head coach Matt LaFleur all report directly to president/CEO Mark Murphy. This structure theoretically gives more personnel influence to Ball and LaFleur than if they reported directly to the GM, as most front offices are organized.

14. New England Patriots, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Darnell Wright, OT

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Cornerback +250

Who calls the shots in the Patriots’ draft room?

Head coach Bill Belichick (23rd year) has final say over personnel decisions. Matt Groh was promoted to director of player personnel last offseason after one season as the Patriots’ director of college scouting. Aside from Belichick, this remains a relatively inexperienced front office due to the recent losses of Nick Caserio (Texans) and Dave Ziegler (Raiders).

15. New York Jets, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Lukas Van Ness, Edge (Packers)

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Offensive Lineman -270

Who calls the shots in the Jets’ draft room?

GM Joe Douglas (fifth year) has final say over personnel decisions.

16. Washington Commanders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

Who calls the shots in the Commanders’ draft room?

Head coach Ron Rivera (fourth year) has final say with input from GM Martin Mayhew (fourth year)

17. Pittsburgh Steelers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Porter Jr.

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Cornerback +135

Who calls the shots in the Steelers’ draft room?

GM Omar Khan (first year) takes over after Kevin Colbert ran the team for 23 years. Khan likely has final say over the roster, though assistant GM Andy Weidl (first year) will have significant input, as will head coach Mike Tomlin. Khan has been with Pittsburgh since 2001, but his background is in the administrative side of the team. Weidl joins the team from the Eagles, where he was vice president of player personnel and has extensive experience in scouting. Sheldon White (first year) serves as the director of college scouting and will likely also play a large role due to Khan’s inexperience in that area.

18. Detroit Lions, Draft Pick Prediction: Lukas Van Ness, EDGE, Iowa

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Hendon Hooker, QB

  • Betting Angle: Draft Position Over 14.5 -120

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Myles Murphy, Edge

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Offensive Lineman +150

Who calls the shots in the Buccaneers’ Draft Room?

GM Jason Licht (10th year) has final say over the roster.

20. Seattle Seahawks, Draft Pick Prediction: Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College

Who calls the shots in the Chargers’ draft room?

GM Tom Telesco (10th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

22. Baltimore Ravens, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Banks

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Cornerback -120

Who calls the shots in the Ravens' draft room?

GM Eric DeCosta (fifth year as GM, 26th year in organization) controls roster construction and has maintained a similar approach to his former boss Ozzie Newsome.

23. Minnesota Vikings, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Zay Flowers, WR

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Cornerback +200

Who calls the shots in the Vikings’ draft room?

GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (second year) has final say over the roster. He has a background in analytics and spent the previous two seasons working under Andrew Berry in Cleveland. He was the director of football research & development under Trent Baalke in San Francisco prior to joining the Browns.

24. Jacksonville Jaguars, Top Draft Pick Prediction: O’Cyrus Torrence, OL, Florida

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Michael Mayer, TE

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Offensive Lineman +125

Who calls the shots in the Jaguars' draft room?

GM Trent Baalke (third year) and head coach Doug Pederson (second year) supposedly share control of the roster. The Jaguars have not publicly stated who has the final say 一 though it’s likely Baalke, considering he participated in the hiring of Pederson.

25. New York Giants, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jordan Addison, WR, USC

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Quentin Johnston, WR

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Wide Receiver +150

Who calls the shots in the Giants’ draft room?

GM Joe Schoen (second year) has final say over roster decisions. He spent the previous five seasons as the assistant general manager to Brandon Beane in Buffalo.

26. Dallas Cowboys, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Bijan Robinson, RB

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Tight End +175

Who calls the shots in the Cowboys' draft room?

Director of player personnel Stephen Jones effectively acts as the general manager with significant input from VP of player personnel Will McClay. Obviously, owner Jerry Jones has been known to step in and make decisions as well.

27. Buffalo Bills, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Brian Branch, DB, Alabama

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Bryan Bresee, DL

  • Betting Angle: Position of Team’s First Drafted Player – Cornerback +2500
  • Note: Branch is listed as a cornerback at NFL.com and is expected to be considered a corner by sportsbooks.

Who calls the shots in the Bills' draft room?

GM Brandon Beane (seventh year) officially has final say over the roster, but head coach Sean McDermott’s opinion is believed to carry equal weight. McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 and also worked together for six seasons in Carolina.

28. Cincinnati Bengals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Brian Branch, DB

  • Betting Angle: Total Running Backs Drafted Round One Over 1.5 -300

Who calls the shots in the Bengals’ draft room?

Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin has final say over roster construction.

29. New Orleans Saints, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Bryan Bresee, DL, Clemson

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Adetomiwa Adebawore, Edge

  • Betting Angle: Draft Position Under 29.5 +300

Who calls the shots in the Saints' draft room?

GM Mickey Loomis likely has final say, though the power dynamic is unclear since the departure of Sean Payton (who previously had final say). Since Loomis does not have a background in scouting, assistant GM and director of college personnel Jeff Ireland likely has substantial input in the draft.

30. Philadelphia Eagles, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Kalee Ringo, DB

  • Betting Angle: Draft Position Over 10.5 -150

31. Kansas City Chiefs, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU

Previous 7.0 Mock Draft selection: Anton Harrison, OL

  • Betting Angle: Team to Select Quentin Johnston. Kansas City Chiefs +1500

Who calls the shots in the Chiefs' draft room?

GM Brett Veach (seventh year) officially has final say over the roster, but Andy Reid’s opinion carries significant weight. The two have worked together since Reid hired Veach as a coaching intern in 2004, and Veach followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Walker

From +140 at the time of mock draft 6.0 to -450 on BetMGM as of the morning of the draft. It’s been quite the meteoric rise since the beginning of the draft process for Walker. According to ESPN’s Todd McShay, “he has a 95% chance” to hear his name selected first overall tonight.

Who Calls the Shots in Jaguars Draft Room?

GM Trent Baalke (second year)

2. Detroit Lions, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Hutchinson

I said in the last iteration that if Walker was the pick at one then Hutchinson would be the most predictable pick in this entire draft. However, that no longer seems to be the case. The stories are circulating that Kayvon Thibodeaux has been heavily bet/linked to Detroit at two but I think that Thibodeaux is only the pick at two if it’s Hutchinson at one and not Walker. Hutchinson is still the favorite on the morning of draft day at -155.

Who Calls the Shots in Lions Draft Room?

GM Brad Holmes (second year)

3. Houston Texans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Ikem Ekwonu, OT

The buzz continued to grow by the day that the Texans were strongly considering corner at three and that Derek Stingley Jr. not Ahmed Gardner was the top corner on the board. While I think Ikem Ekwonu is very possible here, I am going the direction the winds are taking me and that’s to Stingley Jr. He is +150 to be the third overall pick and +100 to be the first defensive back selected.

Who Calls the Shots in Texans Draft Room?

GM Nick Caserio (second year) and Executive VP Jack Easterby (third year)

4. New York Jets, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE

The Jets could go in a number of different directions here, but I think first and foremost they want to ensure they protect last year’s first round pick in Zach Wilson, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Mekhi Becton. Ekwonu to be selected fourth overall is +350.

Who Calls the Shots in Jets Draft Room?

GM Joe Douglas (fourth year)

5. New York Giants, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Neal

This would come down to Neal or Charles Cross, but Neal gets the nod since it is reported that the Giants would like to keep Andrew Thomas at left tackle. Neal is viewed as the more seamless transition to right tackle at the next level. Neal is currently +500 to be the fifth overall pick on DraftKings.

Who Calls the Shots in Giants Draft Room?

GM Joe Schoen (first year with Giants, spent previous five seasons as assistant GM in Buffalo)

6. Carolina Panthers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Cross

A couple things I think in regards to Carolina at six on draft day: they do not want to take a quarterback here and they would prefer to trade down. However, with only one of the top tier tackles left on the board and it being such a glaring need they ultimately stay put and take Cross. Cross to go sixth overall is +400.

Who Calls the Shots in Panthers Draft Room?

HC Matt Rhule (third year) has final say over Panthers personnel decisions, with input from GM Scott Fitterer (second year).

7. New York Giants, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Gardner

This is a perfect fit in the Wink Martindale system. The Giants pass on tempting options on the edge and at wide receiver and go with who many consider the best corner in this draft in Gardner. Gardner is +250 to be the seventh overall pick.

8. Atlanta Falcons, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Garrett Wilson, WR

Wide receiver fills the most glaring need but Atlanta has needs all over the board so they go with one of the hottest names in the draft process in Johnson to improve their pass rush instead. Johnson to go eighth overall is +650.

Who Calls the Shots in Falcons Draft Room?

GM Terry Fontenot (second year with Falcons)

9. Seattle Seahawks, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Jermaine Johnson, EDGE

Seattle may be a candidate to trade out of this pick, but Pete Carroll and John Schneider will gladly end the fall of the talented Thibodeaux if he actually does make it all the way here. Thibodeaux is currently +750 to be the ninth overall pick.

Who Calls the Shots in Seahawks Draft Room?

Head coach Pete Carroll (13th year) has final say over personnel decisions, but works in tandem with GM John Schneider (13th year).

10. New York Jets, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Drake London, WR, USC

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Jameson Williams, WR

I am sticking with the theme that the Jets want to help out quarterback Zach Wilson as much as they can in this draft. They go with London, who fits the type of receiver Wilson thrived with at BYU. London is +300 to be the 10th overall pick.

11. Washington Commanders, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Hamilton

Wide receiver is very much in play here for the Commanders, but with their perceived top option, Drake London, off the board, they turn to Hamilton to fill the departed Landon Collins role. Hamilton, who once had a draft position prop of 5.5, is now 12.5 with the under -175 at BetMGM.

Who Calls the Shots in Commanders Draft Room?

HC Ron Rivera (third year) has final say, with input from GM Martin Mayhew (second year)

12. Minnesota Vikings, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Derek Stingley Jr., CB

You’re gonna see a theme here coming up with some of the next few picks that I think all of these are in play for trades. But even if new GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah does move down a few spots, I think he still targets McDuffie who not only fills an obvious need but also checks off all of the analytical boxes. Vikings to take a defensive back with their first pick is -110.

Who Calls the Shots in Vikings Draft Room?

GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (first year) has final say over the roster. He has a background in analytics and spent the previous two seasons working under Andrew Berry in Cleveland. He was the Director of Football Research & Development under Trent Baalke in San Francisco prior to joining the Browns.

13. Houston Texans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Jordan Davis, iDL

So the same logic applies here except instead of a trade back, I could see the Texans moving up to secure Wilson who is the top-rated receiver on most boards. The draft position prop for Wilson is 9.5 and the over is -110.

Who Calls the Shots in Texans Draft Room?

GM Nick Caserio (third season)

14. Baltimore Ravens, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jordan Davis, iDL, Georgia

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: George Karlaftis, EDGE

This seems to be one of the most popular picks among mock drafts but that’s just because Davis seems to be such a prototypical Raven. Ravens to select a defensive lineman/edge with their first pick is +150.

Who Calls the Shots in Ravens Draft Room?

GM Eric DeCosta (fourth year as GM, 26th year in organization).

15. Philadelphia Eagles, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Trent McDuffie, CB

Back to the theme of trades, here is another team that may want to move up to secure their rumored top wide receiver target in Williams. Eagles to select a wide receiver with their first pick is +200.

Who Calls the Shots in Eagles Draft Room?

GM Howie Roseman (12th year) has final say over the roster. Roseman has held the title of general manager and/or executive vice president of football operations since 2010, however, he did not control the roster during Andy Reid’s tenure, or for part of Chip Kelly’s tenure. Roseman regained full control of personnel decisions in 2016.

16. New Orleans Saints, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Trevor Penning, OT

This would most likely come down to Trevor Penning or Olave. With reports that the Saints are enamored with Olave, they can’t take the chance of passing on him here and have someone stealing him before they pick next at 19. Saints to take a wide receiver with their first pick is +300.

Who Calls the Shots in Saints Draft Room?

It’s unclear who has final say over the Saints roster now that Sean Payton is gone. GM Mickey Loomis may technically hold that power, but assistant GM and director of college personnel Jeff Ireland likely has substantial input in the draft.

17. Los Angeles Chargers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Zion Johnson, iOL

I have to believe the Chargers would be ecstatic if the Saints do pass on Penning as he fills their biggest need on the team at right tackle. The Chargers to draft an offensive lineman first is +125.

Who Calls the Shots in Chargers Draft Room?

GM Tom Telesco (10th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

18. Philadelphia Eagles, Top Draft Pick Prediction: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Devin Lloyd, LB

Karlaftis has seen his draft position prop fall from 16.5 to 22.5. I think this could be another trade down candidate to move down a few spots, still get their guy in Karlaftis, and someone comes up for possibly a wide receiver or quarterback.

19. New Orleans Saints, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Chris Olave, WR

Not overly confident that the Saints take Pickett here, but it would help justify their trade so early in the draft process I suppose. Pickett to be the first quarterback selected is +150.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Willis

I’ve stuck with Willis here all draft season and I’m not moving off of it now. In fact, as of the day of the draft, I feel more confident that he will actually be here at 20 than I did at the beginning of the process. The Steelers to draft a quarterback first is -150 and it is +200 for them to draft Willis specifically.

Who Calls the Shots in Steelers Draft Room?

GM Kevin Colbert (23rd year) controls the Steelers roster but has already announced he will step down after the draft.

A replacement has not been named but VP of football and business administration Omar Kahn and pro scouting coordinator Brandon Hunt are considered strong internal candidates. When a replacement is named, expect him to have more sway than usual over this draft.

21. New England Patriots, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Daxton Hill, S

A lot of smoke surrounding Quay Walker here but ultimately I think Belichick goes with the more proven player in Lloyd who was not only a team captain at Utah but also referred to as a coach on the field which Belichick loves. Patriots to select a linebacker with their first pick is +300.

Who Calls the Shots in Patriots Draft Room?

Head coach Bill Belichick (22nd year) has final say over personnel decisions.

Matt Groh was promoted to director of player personnel this offseason after one season as the Patriots director of college scouting. Groh was previously a scout for the team, but this may be the least experienced front office Belichick has been supported by during his tenure in New England.

22. Green Bay Packers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Burks

I’ve kept Burks here for a few iterations now as it just seems to be a match both in terms of best player available and need. Burks currently has a draft position prop of under 23.5 -125 and Packers to select a wide receiver with their first pick is -130.

Who Calls the Shots in Packers Draft Room?

GM Brian Gutekunst (fifth year) has final say over the roster, but Gutekunst, director of football operations Russ Ball and head coach Matt LaFleur all report directly to president/CEO Mark Murphy. This structure theoretically gives more personnel influence to Ball and LaFleur than if they reported directly to the GM, as most front offices are organized.

23. Arizona Cardinals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kenyon Green, iOL, Texas A&M

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Drake London, WR

It will be tempting to give quarterback Kyler Murray another weapon to work with here. Instead, they go with the more prudent move in giving him some more protection in Green who can play multiple spots along the line. Cardinals to select an offensive lineman with their first pick is +250.

Who Calls the Shots in Cardinals Draft Room?

GM Steve Keim (10th year) has final say over personnel decisions.

Sharp Football Betting Package

24. Dallas Cowboys, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Zion Johnson, iOL, Boston College

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Kenyon Green, iOL

According to the Athletic’s Dane Brugler, he believes this pick would come down to Johnson, Green, and Burks. With the other two off the board right before them, the Cowboys go with Johnson to fill an obvious need along their offensive line. Cowboys to select an offensive lineman with their first pick is -110.

Who Calls the Shots in Cowboys Draft Room?

Dir. of Player Personnel Stephen Jones effectively acts as the general manager with significant input from VP of Player Personnel Will McClay, but obviously owner Jerry Jones has been known to step in and make decisions as well.

25. Buffalo Bills, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Gordon

The Bills taking a running back, specifically Breece Hall, has been rumored here but I’m not buying it. That’s not the one piece away that some feel they are. Instead, it’s shoring up a secondary in a conference that is loaded with most of the top quarterbacks/offenses in the league. Defensive back to be the first position selected by Buffalo is +150 (running back is +230).

Who Calls the Shots in Bills Draft Room?

GM Brandon Beane (sixth year) officially has final say over the roster, but head coach Sean McDermott’s opinion is believed to carry equal weight. McDermott and Beane were hired together in 2017 after also working together for six seasons in Carolina.

26. Tennessee Titans, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Kenny Pickett, QB

The number one seed in the AFC last year needs to focus on their 2022 season with this pick and worry about the future of starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill in 2023. The draft prop position for Smith is under 32.5 -140.

Who Calls the Shots in Titans Draft Room?

GM Jon Robinson (seventh year) has final say over personnel decisions.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Logan Hall, iDL, Houston

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Tyler Smith, OL

With some of the offensive linemen Tampa Bay was looking at gone at this point, they pivot to the defensive line and take a late riser in Hall to plug in next to Vita Vea. Hall has a draft position prop of 35.5 and Tampa to take a defensive lineman/edge with their first pick is +225.

Who Calls the Shots in Buccaneers Draft Room?

GM Jason Licht (ninth year) has final say over the roster.

28. Green Bay Packers, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Devonte Wyatt

With all the smoke out there on Walker yesterday, he moved to -600 to be selected in the first 32 and saw his draft position prop move from 34.5 all the way to 20.5. While New England is certainly a potential landing spot, he checks off a lot of boxes that Packers GM Brian Gutekunst looks for in early-round draft picks.

29. Kansas City Chiefs, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Dotson

Another potential trade candidate to move up in this draft. However, if the Chiefs do stay put they can still address wide receiver with Dotson who many have as the top of the second tier of receivers in this draft. Kansas City to draft a wide receiver with their first pick is +100.

Who Calls the Shots in Chiefs Draft Room?

GM Brett Veach (sixth year) officially has final say over the roster, but Andy Reid’s opinion carries significant weight. The two have worked together since Reid hired Veach as a coaching intern in 2004, and Veach followed Reid to Kansas City in 2013.

30. Kansas City Chiefs, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Mafe

After going wide receiver with their first pick, Kansas City turns to the defensive side of the ball with their second pick and will either go pass rush or secondary. If the Chiefs are looking for someone to just be able to get to the quarterback, the nod goes to Mafe. His current draft position prop is under 31.5 -130.

31. Cincinnati Bengals, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Tyler Linderbaum, iOL

Elam is one of the hottest names going into the draft with NFL Network reporting he could be the third or fourth corner off the board on Thursday night. Elam is now -250 to be selected in the top 32 and Bengals to take a defensive back with their first pick is +275.

Who Calls the Shots in Bengals Draft Room?

Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin

32. Detroit Lions, Top Draft Pick Prediction: Lewis Cine, S, Georgia

Previous 6.0 Mock Draft selection: Desmond Ridder, QB

Typically with the last pick you want to put someone in here you still think has the best chance of going in the first round and don’t worry as much about the match. But in this case, Cine happens to be a great fit with Detroit. By all accounts, Cine has crushed his pre-draft process and is now -130 to be selected in the first round.

2022 NFL Draft Stock Watch: Post-College Football Regular Season https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/2022-nfl-draft-stock-watch-post-college-football-regular-season/ Fri, 03 Dec 2021 14:03:01 +0000 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/?p=47029

According to The Huddle Report, Brendan Donahue is ranked as the most accurate NFL mock drafter over the past five years and in this column he brings his extensive college football predictive insight to you weekly.

As someone who does mock drafts every year, I always have my eye on draft-eligible players and how their performance on the field could positively or negatively impact their draft stock in the upcoming draft. So we will be tracking players on a weekly basis throughout the season to see who is rising or falling on draft boards.

What college players are rising on the draft board for 2022?

Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

It’s been a down year for most of the Clemson draft-eligible players, but one player that trended up specifically in his final regular season game was cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. Against South Carolina he was targeted four times and intercepted two of those attempts, had a pass break up on another, and allowed zero catches, earning a PFF coverage grade of 92.2 on the day. Booth has all the physical tools you look for from a corner at the next level, with good size, elite athleticism, and a nose for the ball, but doesn’t always play up to that level on a consistent basis. However, his upside far exceeds his downside and he has all but locked up a spot in the first round in next year’s draft.

Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn

Another corner that has all but locked up a spot in the first round, McCreary has been about as consistent as a cornerback there has been in the country this year and is the first overall graded CB on PFF with an 89.9 grade on the season. McCreary all but shutdown future first-round pick Jameson Williams (before he got ejected) and had four total pass breakups in the game. He now has 14 pass breakups on the season which is tied for third in the country and has 36 total for his career which is the second most in the last 25 years at Auburn.

Trey McBride, TE, Colorado St.

While McCreary was the number one rated cornerback, McBride finished the regular season as the number one rated tight end per PFF with an overall grade of 95.0. That is the second-highest grade ever given to a tight end by PFF only behind Kyle Pitts from last year. McBride finished the season with 90 catches for 1,121 yards which both ranked first in the country for tight ends. Not only is McBride one of the best pass-catching tight ends in the country, at 6’4, 260 lbs., he is also one of the best run blockers putting up the seventh most positively graded run blocks for tight ends this season. McBride has put himself in position to not only be the first tight end selected but could also find himself drafted in the first round next April.

What college players are rising on the draft board for 2022?

Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio St.

After featuring his teammate Chris Olave earlier in the season, it is now time to give Wilson his credit too after his dominant performance against Purdue on Saturday. He had 10 catches, 126 yards, and three touchdowns which now puts him eighth in the country with nine receiving touchdowns on the season. He also added a 51-yard touchdown run in this game and earned him a spot on the PFF team of the week and an 82.0 grade from them on the season. On a team that has top-end talent all over the offense, Wilson has arguably been the most consistent and best overall player. In a wide-open race to be the first wide receiver selected, Wilson is firmly in that discussion.

David Ojabo, Edge, Michigan

Another player who has had his teammate on here earlier this season in Aiden Hutchinson, who could have been on here again after his game this week, Ojabo has done a nice job of establishing himself as an elite pass rusher on the opposite side of Hutchinson. Ojabo had another two sacks vs Penn St. Saturday, as he and Hutchinson were basically game wreckers in their 21-17 win. He is now up to 10 sacks on the season with five forced fumbles, and has five sacks in the last three games alone.

Considered a bit raw coming into the season, Ojabo clearly has started to figure it out and has now put together some impressive pass rush technique to go along with his exceptional physical traits. Ojabo has already moved into the first round in the 2022 draft and may even find himself in the top 15 come April.

Trevor Penning, OL, Northern Iowa

Like I mentioned last week, Evan Neal is the consensus top offensive tackle in the country but there are others trying to make their case as the next tackle selected and Penning is one of those guys. At 6’7”, 321lbs., Penning has great size and often imposes his size on smaller players which has scouts calling him a “mauler”. He has only allowed one sack and three QB hurries on 271 pass attempts for Northern Iowa this season. One “concern” is his level of competition but Penning will be attending the senior bowl where he will have a chance to show he can do this against higher-end talent and improve his stock even further.

What college players are falling on the draft board for 2022?

Adam Anderson, LB, Georgia

Not much to add here but since I had him on my stock up list earlier in the season, I have to include him on the down list with the current situation off the field. Obviously, we have to wait and see how the legal process plays out, but now that Anderson was officially charged last week he will have to answer some serious questions from teams in the draft process, that is if he is even eligible to play in the NFL next year.

Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn St.

Dotson could have made this list a few times this season, but after his performance against Maryland, it was time to finally include him. He put together his best game of the season with 11 catches for 242 yards and three touchdowns, including one for 86 yards that highlighted his breakaway speed. To go along with his speed, Dotson is one of if not the smoothest route runner in the country, often setting up his opponents with subtle footwork. Now up to 71 catches, 932 yards, and nine touchdowns on the season, Dotson has been steadily moving up draft boards and could find himself in the back end of the first round come April.

Cameron Thomas, DL, San Diego St.

Another game, another sack for Thomas this week. He now has a sack in his last four games and at least 0.5 TFL in every game this season. With an overall grade of 90.6, he is currently the sixth-ranked defensive lineman in the country out of 581 eligible players per PFF. At 6’5”, 270 lbs., Thomas has the size and speed to line up in multiple fronts along the line which will only enhance his stock at the next level.

Charles Cross, OL, Mississippi St.

There is a consensus on who the first offensive lineman to be drafted next year is and that is Evan Neal from Alabama, but the next spot has been up for grabs but Cross may be putting a stranglehold on it. Just a redshirt sophomore this year, Cross has not only held his own in SEC competition at left tackle, he has dominated in most games. With mixed grades coming into the season, Cross has shown he’s made huge improvements in both his technique and strength that has solidified his spot as one of top tackles in the 2022 draft.

What college players are falling on the draft board for 2022?

Jahleel Billingsley, TE, Alabama

Coming into the season Billingsley was one of the more hyped tight ends in the country and was very likely he was going to end up in this article but in the draft stock up not down portion. To date, it has been a very disappointing season for Billingsley at Alabama and it seems to be attributed to his efforts in practice or lack thereof.

Nick Saban had some pointed comments after a practice that seemed to be pointed towards Billingsley where he said “this is not a democracy. Everybody doesn't get to do what they want to do.” Added that they have scouts at practice every day taking note of how guys work–not just what people see on game day. It culminated in the LSU game where Billingsley was active but did not register a target in 37 pass attempts from Bryce Young. Billingsley does have all the physical traits scouts look for and it is believed he will most likely run in the 4.5’s in the 40 at 6’4”, 230 lbs., so it will be interesting to see if he still declares for the draft even with this lack of playing time and production.

What college players are rising on the draft board for 2022?

Bailey Zappe, QB, Western Kentucky

While not in the national conversation with some of the bigger names at quarterback at bigger programs, it’s hard to ignore what Zappe has done at Western Kentucky this year. With already 3,000 passing yards on the season, he is first in yards per game and tied for first in touchdowns in the country, while completing 71.1% of his passes. Zappe is also third in the country in EPA with a 58.9 per ESPN which is only behind potential first-round picks Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett. Scouts love his accuracy, pocket presence, and decision-making, however his lack of size at just 6’1” is keeping him from entering the day one discussion but if he continues to put this type of play on film, it will be hard to ignore him in April.

Leo Chanel, LB, Wisconsin

Speaking of hard to ignore, it’s impossible to miss Leo Chanel if you have watched any Wisconsin game recently. It is not hyperbole to say he has literally been all over the field. In just the past two weeks alone he has racked up 26 total tackles and 4.5 sacks including a 3.5 sack performance against Purdue last week. He is now the highest-graded linebacker in the country per PFF with a 91.8, moving ahead of Georgia’s Nakobe Dean. At 6’2”, 261 lbs. Chanel certainly has the size to be a downhill linebacker at the next level but it will come down to if scouts think he can be a three-down linebacker that will determine how high he gets drafted.

Jaquarii Roberson, WR, Wake Forest

Granted he was playing Army but Roberson still made a few highlight film catches to go along with his overall stat line of eight catches for 157 yards and three touchdowns that will certainly grab scouts’ attention. But it’s more than just this past game, Roberson now has over 100 yards receiving in each of his last three games and is averaging 96.0 per game on the season. He has displayed a consistent ability to make contested catches using a combination of his size, body control, and great hands. Once a borderline draftable player, Roberson has played himself clearly into the draft and with a good to great speed time at the combine could find himself as a day two prospect.

What college players are falling on the draft board for 2022?

D.J. Uiagalelei, QB, Clemson

This is the first time I am including a player who is not yet eligible for the draft, but I don’t think anyone could have predicted what has happened to him this season, specifically this past weekend. After his performance against Notre Dame last year in just his second game as a true freshman, people were ready to pencil him in as the number one pick in the 2023 draft. Even after losing Trevor Lawrence to the draft, Clemson was still ranked No. 3 in the AP preseason poll as many expected a seamless transition to the next great Clemson quarterback in Uiagalelei. That couldn’t be further from the case both for Clemson and Uiagelelei, culminating with a 27-17 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday where Uiagelelei was benched.

Not only is Clemson 4-3 on the season and not ranked in the top 25, Clemson ranks 111th in the country in passing yards per game at just 176.1 which is last in the ACC. Uiagalelei is 105th in QBR and 122nd out of 127 eligible quarterbacks in EPA per ESPN, which again is last in the ACC. Just numbers that didn’t seem conceivable coming into the season for a potential future number one pick. There is debate as to how much of this can be attributed to the coaching and how much of it is on Uiagalelei himself so it will be a fascinating story to see how this plays out in the offseason and if he will stick it out with Clemson for his junior year or enter the transfer portal.
