1. Bet365 Iowa Sportsbook Promo

The Bet365 Iowa bonus code offers users a choice between two bonuses after signing up and depositing at least $10:

  • Bet $10, Get $365 in Bonus Bets – Place a $10 bet (minimum odds -500 or better), and win or lose, you'll receive $365 in bonus bets after the bet settles.

Why the Bet365 Bonus Stands Out

The Bet365 bonus stakes its claim as one of the best Iowa sportsbook bonuses with its flexible, dual-pronged approach. The bet-and-get offer is great thanks to its guaranteed nature. Just sign up and wager $10. After, you'll receive $365 in bonus bets (largest bet-and-get offer), win or lose. This is a huge advantage over other Iowa sports betting offers that are dependent on a winning or losing first bet.

Bet365 also allows bonus bets to be broken down into any amount you want. The welcome bonuses at DraftKings and BetMGM, for example, award bonus bets in set amounts that can't be split up.

👍 PROS

  • Improved offer of $365 in bonus bets guaranteed
  • Can choose from between two welcome bonuses
  • Bonus bets can be broken down into smaller amounts

👎 CONS

  • First bet amount ($10) is higher than most competitors ($1-5)
  • Must wait for first bet to settle to receive bonus

What You Can Expect from Bet365

Bet365 Iowa is one of the best all-around sportsbook experiences you can have. Users will find a host of solid features and a well-functioning mobile app.

Here are the main benefits you can expect from using Bet365 Sportsbook in Iowa:

  • Some of the most competitive odds in the market, as they often deliver lines of -110 when others are at -115 or -120
  • Strong variety of markets, including international sports leagues
  • Wide selection of prop bets at the game/team/player level
  • One of the best sportsbook apps for live betting
  • Regular bet boosts for high-profile sporting events

2. DraftKings Iowa Sportsbook Promo

The DraftKings Iowa sign-up bonus is a bet-and-get offer that gives you $200 in bonus bets instantly after making your first $5 wager at -500 odds or greater. The bonus is guaranteed, regardless of whether your first wager is successful or not.

The $200 bonus bets are paid out in eight $25 bonus bet tokens, which must be played within seven days of receiving them, or they'll expire and be removed from your account. No DraftKings promo code is required to claim this offer.

New customers only. Must be 21+ and physically present in a DraftKings legal state. First bet must be placed within 30 days of registration. Bonus bets expire 7 days after issuance. See DraftKings.com for full terms. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Why the DraftKings Bonus Stands Out

Among current bet-and-get offers, DraftKings offers a solid $200 bonus. On top of that, the bonus bets are both guaranteed and awarded instantly, which offers a significant advantage over some other sportsbook promos that require you to wait until your first bet settles as a win or loss.

The bonus bets are paid out as eight $25 bet credits. While this is better than a $200 lump sum, sportsbooks like FanDuel and Bet365 let you use your bonus bets in whatever increment you please.

👍 PROS

  • $200 guaranteed value
  • First bet doesn't need to win
  • Bonus is paid instantly
  • Minimum first bet odds are fair (-500)

👎 CONS

  • Must use bonus bets as $25 bet tokens
  • $165 less than the Bet365 Iowa offer

What You Can Expect from DraftKings

DraftKings Iowa is perhaps the best sportsbook for mobile app performance, ease of use, and NFL prop markets. Here's a quick rundown of what you can expect:

3. BetMGM Iowa Sportsbook Promo

The BetMGM Iowa bonus is a great one for bettors looking to go big on their first wager. Sign up with the BetMGM bonus code SFAPLAY, and if your first bet loses, BetMGM will refund it 100% up to $1,500 in bonus bets. Apply the First Bet Offer token to your first wager to qualify.

Bonus bet tokens are single-use and must be used within 7 days of receiving them, or they'll expire.

Why the BetMGM Bonus Stands Out

The BetMGM bonus makes itself known with a huge $1,500 potential bonus (the highest of any Iowa sportsbook). That's why it's ideal for players who aren't shy to wager a lot from the jump. Another plus is that Iowa bettors only need to deposit $10 to qualify for the bonus.

Needless to say, having your first bet protected up to $1,500 provides a lot of peace of mind after signing up, especially if you want to go big on your first bet.

👍 PROS

  • Largest potential Iowa bonus ($1,500)
  • Ideal for seasoned bettors with large bankrolls
  • Only requires a $10 deposit
  • Minimum odds of -10000

👎 CONS

  • Might not be ideal for small bettors
  • Bonus bets come in set amounts (can't be broken down)

What You Can Expect from BetMGM

BetMGM is one of the most trusted names in the gambling industry thanks to its worldwide casino chain. The online sportsbook is similarly well-respected, with nice prop markets, a solid app experience, decent live betting, and one of the best sportsbook loyalty programs.

Here's an idea of what you can expect when using BetMGM Sportsbook Iowa:

  • Best-in-class rewards program
  • Frequent daily boosts
  • Sleek app design with good graphics
  • Easy deposits and withdrawals
  • The Edit My Bet feature is great for quick wager tweaks
  • Some reports of delays in customer service

4. FanDuel Iowa Sportsbook Promo

The FanDuel Iowa sports betting promo recently changed from a bet-and-get offer similar to DraftKings to $300 back for 10 days straight if your wager loses, totaling $3,000 in potential bonus bets.

Each day, Iowa bettors can apply their “Bet Reset” token to a selection in the betslip. If your bet loses, you'll receive 100% of your stake back in bonus bets up to $300. This can be done 10 days in a row after signing up.

Then once you have those bonus bets, you have 7 days to spend them, and you can break them down into any amount you want. No FanDuel promo code is necessary to claim this offer.

Bonus bets expire 7 days after receipt. See FanDuel.com/sportsbook for full terms and conditions. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Why the FanDuel Bonus Stands Out

The new FanDuel bonus is interesting, to say the least. New users can receive up to $300 back daily for 10 days straight after signing up. This means new users could receive up to $3,000 in bonus bets should they bet and lose each day.

Needless to say, having your wager protected up to $300 for 10 consecutive days after signing up is a huge plus, allowing you to try out the platform and place numerous bets with much less risk. Also, FanDuel lets bettors use their bonus bets in whatever amount they please.

👍 PROS

  • Bonus bets can be broken down into any amount
  • Largest current potential value ($3,000)
  • Bonus applies to up to 10 bets

👎 CONS

  • Requires daily betting to get the most value
  • Bonus bet stake is not returned in winnings

FanDuel Iowa sports betting promo

What You Can Expect from FanDuel

FanDuel sportsbook boasts the highest amount of active users of any sportsbook in America, and it's no surprise as to why. The app is the best in the business, the betting markets are unmatched, and the overall user experience is second to none.

Here are the main highlights we found from using the FanDuel Iowa Sportsbook:

  • Smooth app experience for casual bettors
  • Can jump between different markets and place bets with ease
  • Most robust parlay options, including the popular SGP/SGP+
  • The ” YourWay” betting interface is the most creative use of sliders and alternate lines in the industry
  • No true loyalty program for the sportsbook is a major knock
  • Expect frequent bonuses like Bet Reset, bet boosts, and deposit matches

Why the Caesars Sportsbook Bonus Stands Out

The Caesars bonus stands out with its unique double profit boost tokens structure. New users just need to bet $1, and they'll be able to double their profits on their next 10 bets. This bonus offers a potentially huge reward but requires some skill in betting. If your bets are successful, especially if you hit on one or two parlays, you can rack up a massive bonus.

  • Get 14 days to use boosts
  • Only requires an initial $1 bet

👎 CONS

The offer is also awarded regardless of your first bet outcome, which makes it a stress-free sign-up bonus.

  • Bonus is received instantly

👎 CONS

How to Claim Iowa Sportsbook Bonuses: Signing Up & Entering Promo Codes

The good news is that claiming Iowa sportsbook promos is easy, and it's generally the same process no matter which one you choose to claim. We've laid out the step-by-step process below for you to follow:

  1. Choose a Sportsbook: Any of the ranked Iowa sportsbooks from above will work.
  2. Start the Sign-up Process: Visit the sportsbook's mobile site or download the app, then click “Sign  Up” to begin creating your account.
  3. Create Your Account: Provide valid, personal information, including your full name, email address, home address, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your SSN for verification if asked, and create a unique password.
  4. Use the Bonus Code: During registration, there may be a box to enter the promo code if needed. Make sure to do that before advancing to the next screen to make sure you claim the Iowa sportsbook promo offer.
  5. Make Your First Deposit: Most promo offers require a first deposit, usually of no more than $10. Go to the deposit screen and use a suitable payment method to make your first deposit and fund your account.
  6. Place Your First Qualified Bet: Make your first bet to satisfy the promo requirement, whether it's a $5-10 bet at FanDuel/DraftKings/Bet365 or a larger bet with first-bet insurance at BetMGM or Bet365.

Once your bet settles, you should soon receive any bonus, barring you did everything correctly.

Types of Sports Betting Bonuses Available in Iowa

There are different bonus structures available with sportsbook promos in Iowa. In the following sections, we'll explain the differences in how they work with practical examples.

Second-Chance/Risk-Free First Bet

A popular sign-up bonus at sportsbooks like Bet365 and BetMGM is first bet insurance, where you can get up to $1,000 or even $1,500 back as bonus bets on your first bet if it settles as a loss.

The idea is that the bet becomes risk-free as you'll get 100% of your stake back (up to a certain amount) if your first bet loses. At BetRivers Iowa, you can get a $100 second-chance bet: if your first bet loses, you'll get a bonus bet equal to your stake, up to $100.

Bet-and-Get

The classic “bet-and-get” welcome bonus is popular among the likes of DraftKings and Bet365. After placing a small bet (typically $5 or $10), you can receive anywhere from $100 to $365 in bonus bets.

The important caveat is that sometimes you need to win your first bet to get the bonus. If you lose your first bet, you might not get anything depending on the sportsbook. However, Bet365 and DraftKings currently offer a guaranteed bonus regardless of the outcome of your first bet.

Deposit Match

A deposit match bonus simply means that a sportsbook matches your first deposit up to a certain amount. For example, if you deposit $250 at BetMGM, you'll receive $250 in bonus bets. There are some deposit matches that only match 25% or 50% of your deposit, but usually offer a higher limit to entice you to deposit more initially.

Bet Match

Similar to a deposit match, a bet match is when the sportsbook matches your first wager by giving you an equal amount in bonus bets. Caesars Sportsbook has been known to have this offer, though it's rarer than the other types of bonuses we've studied so far.

Is Sports Betting Legal in Iowa?

Sports betting became legal in Iowa after Governor Kim Reynolds signed Senate File 617 into law on May 13, 2019. This legislation validated both in-person/retail and online sports wagering, making Iowa one of the earliest states to fully embrace the industry after the 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning PASPA.

The market launched soon after on August 15, 2019, with retail and online betting available from day one. Initially, you had to register in person to bet online, but today you can sign up remotely and start betting in Iowa that day.

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) is the overseer of all sports betting in the state. There are 11-to-13 online sportsbooks operating in Iowa (total count depends on your definition of sportsbook), including some of the most popular brands such as FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, and Bet365.

Key restrictions on college wagers include the prohibition of any player prop bets for individual athletes from Iowa-based colleges (Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones, for example), but you are allowed to bet on some player props for non-Iowa schools. Other college bets, such as the spread, total, and moneyline, are allowed on all colleges, including Iowa schools. No wagers on high school sports are allowed, and you must be at least 21 years old and physically located in the state of Iowa to place any bets.

Teams You Can Bet on in Iowa

The state of Iowa does not have any professional sports teams in the NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL. However, there are some notable in-state colleges that you can bet on at the top Iowa sportsbooks:
  • Iowa Hawkeyes
  • Iowa State Cyclones
  • Drake Bulldogs (notable college basketball team)

In Iowa, it's legal to wager on college sports online, including the in-state teams listed above. However, college player props are prohibited in the state.

Responsible Gambling

It is vital to gamble responsibly, no matter which state you're in. All of the Iowa sportsbooks on this list offer safe gambling resources and tools, including the ability to set deposit limits, timeouts, and self-exclusion options.

It's important to never chase losses and only risk what you can afford to lose. Help is always available if you or someone you know is experiencing gambling problems.

Resources for gambling help:

  • National Council on Problem Gambling: 1-800-MY-RESET (formerly 1-800-GAMBLER)
  • Your Life Iowa: 24/7 calls to 1-800-BETS-OFF or text (855) 895-8398

Recapping the Best Iowa Sportsbook Promos

There is no shortage of quality sportsbooks and sportsbook promos available to Iowa players, whether they are just getting started with sports betting or are seasoned veterans. Using welcome offers is a great way to get started at a sportsbook, as most offer generous bonuses that are easy to claim.

In our view, BetMGM has a great first-bet insurance bonus for up to $1,500, which is ideal for bettors who like to place bigger bets on sides. The bet-and-get offers at Bet365 and DraftKings are also among the best, as they require little deposit and risk to get a decent amount of bonus money.

There are plenty of interesting matchups to bet on in this game, which figures to be lower-scoring with two defenses playing well. The Seahawks are a deserving favorite after getting through a much tougher schedule than the Patriots to reach this game, though the Patriots have not been blown out this year, and even in their only loss since October started, they led Buffalo 21-0. This shouldn't be a walk in the park for the Seahawks despite some of their advantages.

The Seahawks have the defensive scheme that can confuse Drake Maye, who likely won't be afforded a ton of time behind his battered offensive line that's already allowed 15 sacks this postseason (5.0 sacks each week). But it's a miracle the Patriots are still playing, as no other team has ever won three straight playoff games after allowing this volume of sacks or scoring this few points (18.0 per game) in the playoffs. That's a credit to the New England defense, but we'll see just how much the schedule and facing injured opponents in January have aided them.

Of course, Sam Darnold could always revert to factory settings against the franchise that had him “seeing ghosts” in 2019 in the worst game of his career with the Jets. He's rebounded so well in Minnesota and now Seattle, and he's protected the ball well in the playoffs as well as the Week 18 game at Levi's Stadium to earn the No. 1 seed. But can Darnold really play four straight games of turnover-free football in the biggest games of his career, or will bad habits creep back in like Groundhog Day? It's also helped his comfort level that he's spent five of the last six weeks preparing for NFC West rematches against defenses he's faced once or twice before this season. These Patriots are a whole new opponent with a veteran coaching staff and two weeks to prepare.

A key matchup to watch is how the Patriots use standout corner Christian Gonzalez against Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the favorite to win Offensive Player of the Year after a stellar season in which he had 1,200 more receiving yards than any other player on the Seahawks. It's the Bill Belichick school of thought to take away a team's best receiver, so we'll see if the Patriots shadow JSN with Gonzalez, or if they use a consistent double team while putting Gonzalez on Cooper Kupp or someone else. That's the chess match to watch as Darnold will want to go to his best receiver, with whom he's had success all year.

At the end of the day, it should come down to which quarterback avoids doing the most damage to his team with negative plays like sacks and turnovers. Maye's had his share of those sacks and fumbles in the playoffs, while Darnold had a lot of interceptions in the regular season. It's up to these defenses to force those pivotal splash plays, proving once again that defense wins championships in the NFL.

Super Bowl 60 Odds and Preview

Super Bowl 60 is expected to be a good one between the Seattle Seahawks (16-3) and the New England Patriots (17-3). It's a historic matchup in ways that may surprise you: it's the first time since the 1970 merger that both Super Bowl teams rank in the top four in scoring offense and scoring defense, making them very balanced teams. It's also the first time two teams who lost in Week 1 are meeting in the Super Bowl, but that's a game the Patriots would prefer people forget after accusations of using their “soft schedule” (it is statistically the easiest one in the 32-team era) to get to this game, including an AFC Championship Game win at Denver against a backup quarterback (Jarrett Stidham) throwing his first passes in two seasons.

But with one grand performance, the 2025 Patriots can put all of that behind them with a win here. The Seahawks can also get some revenge for Super Bowl XLIX by beating the Patriots to another ring here behind second-year coach Mike Macdonald, who is from Boston. He'll also try to rewrite the legacy of Sam Darnold, who was at his lowest point in the NFL in 2019, when he threw four interceptions and was caught on camera saying he was “seeing ghosts” in a game against the Patriots. Darnold has already overcome his demons against the Rams, but now he is the favorite to win Super Bowl MVP this Sunday night.

He's also been the No. 1 reason people are picking the Patriots and that defense to win, so it creates a very compelling matchup between two franchises who aren't unfamiliar with the big stage, but many of their players and coaches who will take the field Sunday night are new to this pressure.

Some Super Bowls are not that hard to break down, and this really feels like one of those, despite the levels of uncertainty with these new contenders who both missed the playoffs last year. Which offense and which quarterback minimizes mistakes? That's going to be the team that wins this game.

If you're the Seahawks, you feel good that you haven't turned the ball over in three straight games, but people who know about turnover regression know that's not necessarily a great place to be going into this one. The Seahawks have also been playing rematches against the Rams and 49ers, who both had injuries and weren't playing as well defensively down the stretch. The Patriots are playing very well on defense, allowing their most yards and passing yards way back in Week 1, and they have eight takeaways in the playoffs alone. Not a great sign for a Seattle team that was minus-3 in turnover margin in the regular season, which isn't what you'd expect from a 14-3 top seed.

So, that's why Darnold needs to feel as comfortable as possible with a defense he hasn't seen in years. He also probably can't expect a big game on the ground from Kenneth Walker, as both running games are facing elite run defenses, putting more pressure on the quarterbacks. Darnold also isn't the scrambler that Drake Maye is, so that leaves the Seahawks at another disadvantage. The Seahawks have the newly minted Offensive Player of the Year in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but the Patriots will try their best to take him away with corner Christian Gonzalez and effective double teams. Still, offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak did a great job all year of finding ways to get JSN open, so good luck with that strategy. That might still clear the way for Cooper Kupp to have a big night, the Super Bowl 56 MVP for the Rams.

Kupp is one of the few players in this game with Super Bowl experience. One of the others was Milton Williams, who led the way with 2.0 sacks for the Eagles in last year's domination of the Chiefs. He'll have to play a big role here against Darnold and the running game as the Patriots likely can't afford to win a shootout. Not with an offense that's averaging 18.0 points per game in the playoffs, the fewest of any Super Bowl team in 60 years. They even had a 12-yard touchdown drive in Denver, so that number can be misleading, as it also includes a pick-six against Houston in the AFC Divisional Round.

Drake Maye is going to have to play better after taking 15 sacks and fumbling six times in the postseason alone. He's the only quarterback in NFL history to win multiple playoff games in the same season when he took 5.0 sacks, and he's done it three weeks in a row. That's not sustainable. But if he can avoid turning the ball over, he stands a chance as long as he can hit some deep balls in clear weather, use his legs for key scrambles against the No. 1 defense on third down, and convert in the red zone. But scoring will likely be in short supply.

At the end of the day, which quarterback makes those sacks and turnovers hurt his team the least? That's who will find a way to win this game, and don't be surprised if the MVP goes to a defensive player or any non-quarterback position.

Best Touchdown Scorer Props

Here are the current DraftKings TD Scorer odds for Super Bowl LX:

Player Anytime TD First TD 2+ TDs
Kenneth Walker III -185 +350 +270
Jaxon Smith-Njigba -105 +550 +550
Rhamondre Stevenson +150 +850 +900
Hunter Henry +235 +1400 +2000

Only two players have better than +140 odds at DraftKings to score a touchdown in Super Bowl LX, so here are some ideas for potential value picks to find the end zone tonight:

  • Stefon Diggs (+260): The crafty veteran is playing in his first Super Bowl and has gained the trust of his quarterback in the red zone after they hooked up in tight coverage for a score in the playoffs against Houston.
  • Cooper Kupp (+260): The most decorated Super Bowl player in this matchup is a former Super Bowl MVP who caught the game-winning touchdown for the Rams to beat the Bengals four years ago, and Kupp had a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game against the Rams last week.
  • Drake Maye (+280): If the young quarterback is struggling and not trusting his arm, his legs have been his best weapon all postseason, so he could have a green light to run as much as possible here and score another rushing touchdown as he did against the Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.
  • Rashid Shaheed (+350): After coming over from the Saints via trade, Shaheed has expanded on his deep-ball threat role by scoring three return touchdowns on special teams. He could have a Desmond Howard or Devin Hester-type impact on this Super Bowl.
  • Patriots D/ST (+500): While the Seahawks have seven return touchdowns this year on D/ST, don't sleep on the Patriots, who have scored six times, as they could end up with a pick-six or their own return touchdown on special teams with Marcus Jones in this matchup.
  • Jake Bobo (+1000): Short of Mike Vrabel checking into the game himself to catch a touchdown for the Patriots, if you want an obscure player to catch a touchdown, it's Seattle's Jake Bobo, who caught his first touchdown of 2025 last week against the Rams.

Back the Secondary Receivers?

In a game where most of the player props are low on yards, this could be a real bargain night for the lesser-known receivers (i.e., not Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Stefon Diggs) to step up and have a good night to hit their over in yards:

  • Cooper Kupp Over 32.5 Receiving Yards: With Christian Gonzalez likely drawing the JSN matchup, this could be a big night for the former Super Bowl MVP, who's gone over this line in both playoff games.
  • Kayshon Boutte Over 31.5 Receiving Yards: He is the best New England deep threat and the Seahawks allowed more passing yards on deep throws (226 yards) against the Rams than any defense has in a playoff game since 2016.
  • Mack Hollins Over 27.5 Receiving Yards: He's known for showing up to games barefoot, but he's experienced in this system and has a great catch radius, making him a reliable target for a struggling Maye.
  • A.J. Barner Over 25.5 Receiving Yards: The second-year tight end has had a quiet last month, but he's had some big games and has gone over 25.5 yards in 10-of-19 games this year, and the Patriots have allowed two tight ends to go over 100 yards.

Reasons to Pick the Patriots to Cover

Finally, here is a list of reasons to think the Patriots can cover the 4.5-point spread as an underdog:

  • Sam Darnold led the NFL in turnovers in the regular season and hasn't had a turnover in three straight games (regression to the mean coming on the big stage?).
  • The Patriots have forced eight turnovers in the playoffs alone.
  • The weather should be fine, a welcome change for the Patriots who have been playing in freezing cold and snowy games this postseason.
  • Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels are veteran coaches who know what it takes to win multiple Super Bowls (Vrabel as a player) while neither Seattle coach Mike Macdonald nor offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak (0-1 in Super Bowl as a passing game coordinator for the 2023 49ers) have ever won a championship.
  • The Patriots led the league in explosive play rate during the regular season.
  • The Seahawks rarely blitz and lack a dominant pass rusher (no one has more than 7.0 sacks this season), meaning this should be an easier pass rush to survive than Houston or Denver was for New England.
  • With Milton Williams and Robert Spillane back, the Patriots have an elite run defense that can contain Kenneth Walker and force Darnold to win the game.
  • The Patriots have a top-tier corner in Christian Gonzalez to try to limit Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
  • The underdog is 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in Super Bowls since 2020.
  • The Patriots have not lost a game by more than 4 points since September.

Super Bowl 60 FanDuel Props & Game Analysis

It's been a wild 2025-2026 NFL season to this point, so maybe it's not a surprise that we get the first-ever Super Bowl matchup between teams that both lost in Week 1. But they have lost only twice each since opening day, and they have the two best spread records in the league this year: Seattle is 14-5 ATS, and the Patriots are 13-6-1 ATS. It's also the only Super Bowl since the merger where both teams finished in the top four in both scoring offense and scoring defense.

Super Bowl XLIX Repeat Specials

Since this is a rematch of Super Bowl LXIX between the Patriots and Seahawks to end the 2014 season in memorable fashion, FanDuel has a list of props of history repeating itself in Super Bowl LX. These are all things that happened 11 seasons ago in the Super Bowl and could happen again on Sunday night. There's a solid list of them, but here are the ones that may be the most interesting value picks and worth some consideration:

  • Both Teams to Record an Interception (+180) – Sam Darnold has not turned the ball over in three straight games, but did lead the regular season in giveaways and had 14 interceptions.
  • Any RB to Record 100+ Rush Yards and 1+ Rush TD (+250) – Decent odds if you think Kenneth Walker or Rhamondre Stevenson can have a big night.
  • Seattle to Attempt a Pass at Opponent's 1-Yard Line (+500) – Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak can't get out of Seattle faster if he calls a tight-window throw to Jake Bobo from the 1-yard line to mimic the Malcolm Butler ending against Ricardo Lockette in Super Bowl 49.
  • Both Teams to Record an 80+ Yard TD Drive (+600) – Both had been feasting on short fields down the stretch her,e but this doesn't sound like bad value in a game that figures to be about field position and a lot of drives between the teams.
  • Final Seattle Drive to End in an Interception (+950) – Very on the nose ending, but if you don't trust Sam Darnold in the big game, this might be your way of calling your shot.

Super Bowl LX MVP Odds

The Super Bowl MVP award has been dominated by quarterbacks, who have won it in 34 of the first 59 Super Bowls. But could the value be on a non-quarterback in this matchup of two young quarterbacks in the biggest game of their lives? FanDuel has some interesting value bets available for this scenario:

  • Position of MVP – Any Defensive Player (+1100) – It could be a game where a player like Christian Gonzalez gets a pick-six and shuts down Jaxon Smith-Njigba to claim MVP honors, or if a pass rusher dominates like Milton Williams getting multiple sacks and a forced fumble for the Patriots while shutting down the running game.
  • Position of MVP: QB (-250) vs. Any Other Position (+195) – Hard not to like those +195 odds it won't be a quarterback here as you can have a receiver (JSN or Stefon Diggs) overshadow his quarterback to win it, the aforementioned defensive player, or don't sleep on a dual-threat player making an impact on his side of the ball and special teams returns like Marcus Jones (Patriots) or Rashid Shaheed (Seahawks).

Sack Props

A betting market you rarely see this detailed for any NFL game but the Super Bowl is what FanDuel has available for sacks, which figure to be a key part of this game, especially if the Seahawks are to win.

  • Team to Record Most Sacks – Seahawks (-192) or Patriots (+144) – This would be a surprise if it's not Seattle, given the Patriots have allowed 5 sacks in each playoff game, the only team in NFL history to do that and still win each playoff game.
  • Total Sacks O/U 5.5 (-113) – Have to like the over a lot here for reasons just stated, with the 15 sacks suffered by the Patriots while their pass rush, especially in the interior, can get after Darnold for a couple as well.
  • Total Sacks by Seattle Defense Over 3.5 Sacks (+126) – Again, 15 sacks in three playoff games is an absurd number, and the record for one postseason is 19 allowed by the 2021 Bengals in four games, so the Patriots look like they can match that here by giving up at least 4 more sacks to Seattle's disguised blitzes.

The Seahawks and Patriots are unfamiliar opponents in an unfamiliar position, with this being the first Super Bowl for many of the players in this matchup. But it also doesn't feel like a complicated matchup: The defense that causes the most havoc is likely to produce the win.

For the Patriots and young Drake Maye, he must protect the ball as he did in Denver and realize that taking sacks is usually better than forcing an interception in a game like this. Field position is also huge in a game like this. Seattle has feasted on short fields since November, so you don't need to make things easier on them. Maye has taken 15 sacks in the playoffs, the second most in any postseason in NFL history. But if he avoids the fumbles and the big interception, he might be able to ride his defense and his legs to a low-scoring win, as this shouldn't be a shootout.

On the other side, it's Sam Darnold's moment of truth. He's had three turnover-free games in a row, all huge profile games against playoff teams, but they were also against defenses from the 49ers and Rams that he's faced multiple times this year. The Patriots are a brand-new opponent, and their defense has eight takeaways this postseason. Darnold led all quarterbacks in turnovers in the regular season, and the Seahawks' last loss was against the Rams when he threw four interceptions. That's always the concern with him, and the Patriots have the run defense to make him have to throw more to have offensive success, and they have an elite corner (Christian Gonzalez) who can try to slow down Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the favorite to win Offensive Player of the Year.

It should be a competitive game, a defensive game, and the Patriots should welcome the better weather after their last few games. The Seahawks are a deserving favorite on the spread, but the talk of a blowout win for them feels unfounded. The Patriots have lost once since October started, and that was a game against Buffalo in which they led 21-0. They can win this gam,e and it wouldn't even rank in the top three for biggest Super Bowl upsets involving the Patriots.

Popular Super Bowl Props at BetMGM Sportsbook:

  • Game – 1st Half Under 22.5 Points (-110)
  • Game – Shortest Touchdown Under 1.5 Yards (-155)
  • Seahawks – Kenneth Walker Over 21.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
  • Patriots – Stefon Diggs to record a reception on 1st drive (-115)

The Seahawks remain a 4.5-point favorite over New England heading into the big game, with the total also holding steady at 45.5 points. Here are some betting storylines for the game:

Best NFL Spread Teams

There were no teams better at covering the spread in 2025 than the Seahawks (14-5) and Patriots (13-6-1). The last time the Super Bowl featured the two teams with the best spread record was the 2017 season, when the Patriots were a 4.5-point favorite against the victorious Eagles and Nick Foles. Underdogs have been on a great run in the Super Bowl in this era:

  • Underdogs are 5-0 ATS in the Super Bowl since 2020.
  • Since 2002, Super Bowl underdogs are 16-6 ATS (72.7%).
  • The Seahawks were excellent at beating the spread, averaging +7.9 points this year, easily the best in the NFL.
  • The Patriots were still solid at No. 2, beating the spread by an average of +6.2 points.
  • Going back to 1997, Super Bowl underdogs of at least 4 points are 11-3-1 ATS.
  • The only favorite of 4.5+ points to cover the spread in the last 20 years was the 2006 Colts against Chicago.

Going Under?

“Defense wins championships” isn't just a saying. It's reality, and these teams are primarily here because of their defenses even if the Seahawks did have to win a shootout with the Rams in the NFC Championship Game.

But the Patriots are certainly here because of the defense after the team averaged just 18.0 points per game in the first three rounds of the playoffs, the lowest average for any team to reach the Super Bowl in history. That's why some feel like the under 45.5 points is going to be a good bet to follow in this first-ever Super Bowl matchup between teams who ranked in the top four in scoring offense and scoring defense:

  • The under is 5-2 in the last seven Super Bowls.
  • The Patriots have allowed 5 sacks in every playoff game.
  • The Seahawks had the No. 1 scoring defense in the regular season and have rarely looked bad, aside from facing MVP Matthew Stafford and the Rams.
  • Not to be outdone, the Patriots have only allowed more than 24 points twice this season, and one of those games was in Miami with a special teams return touchdown going against the team (20 points allowed on defense).
  • In his nine Super Bowls with the Patriots' coaching staff, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels never watched Tom Brady lead a first-quarter touchdown drive.

Back the Underdog?

It feels like a game where if the Patriots pull off the upset, that combo of Patriots ML + Under 45.5 might be the winning path as they are unlikely to win a shootout with the Seahawks if that means Sam Darnold is playing really well. Underdogs have been very profitable in recent Super Bowls:

  • The underdog is 4-1 SU in the last five Super Bowls.
  • The underdog has a winning record (13-10) in the last 23 Super Bowls ever since the 2001 Patriots upset the Rams to start their dynasty.
  • The Patriots are 16-1 in their last 17 games and led 21-0 against Buffalo in their only loss in that time.
  • The Patriots have not lost any game by more than 7 points this season.

Super Bowl 60 Preview & Bet365 Odds

Super Bowl 60 sees the Seahawks as a 4.5-point favorite against the Patriots, as both teams have only lost three games, including Week 1. It's the first time there's ever been a Super Bowl where both teams lost in Week 1, but that's probably fitting for a wild 2025 NFL season that saw so many contenders miss the playoffs and so many teams fire their coaches by the end. But the Patriots and Seahawks, who both missed the playoffs in 2024, are on the right path in just the first year for the coach-quarterback duos of Mike Vrabel-Drake Maye and Mike Macdonald-Sam Darnold.

Let's look at the current odds from Bet365 on Super Bowl 60 and some betting-related storylines to watch:

Special Teams Going to Be Special?

Did you know that in the first 59 Super Bowls, there hasn't been a single punt return touchdown? That could change Sunday night with a player on each team capable of breaking through. Rashid Shaheed was traded from the Saints to the Seahawks during the season and has already scored three return touchdowns in half a season for them, including a special punt return in their Week 16 comeback against the Rams that led to the No. 1 seed.

Marcus Jones has been a dynamic punt returner for the Patriots, and he also has value on defense, where he intercepted C.J. Stroud for a touchdown in the AFC Divisional Round.

You could consider Jones and Shaheed to both be dark horses for the Super Bowl MVP award if they're able to have an impact on special teams and their other side of the ball, with a big pick or a big catch in Shaheed's case.

Cooper Kupp's Night to Shine Again?

The most decorated player in this game just may be Cooper Kupp, who won Super Bowl MVP four years ago with the Rams after catching a game-winning touchdown from Matthew Stafford. Kupp had a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game against his former team last week, and his yardage line (O/U 32.5) feels awfully low in this one, given his resume in big games.

Plus, the Patriots are likely to employ some strategy that tries to limit Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who had 1,200 more yards than Kupp and any other Seattle teammate in the regular season. That was the old Bill Belichick strategy to take away your best weapon and let the other guys beat you, which is what coach Mike Vrabel learned under him as his linebacker all those years. The Patriots have a corner who can help do it too in Christian Gonzalez, or they can put Gonzalez on Kupp and consistently send double teams at JSN.

That's a key matchup to watch as it can really dictate how this game goes. But Kupp feels like a safe pick for someone who should do very well in this game to try to be the one to calm down his quarterback.

Which Quarterback Folds?

Don't expect a well-played quarterback duel with these young quarterbacks on the big stage for the first time against these defenses. It's likely going to be ugly, and the team that wins is the one that can cause the most havoc with sacks and turnovers. Which quarterback can control his nerves the best to not damage the game with bad field position for his defense?

In the regular season, Darnold had issues with interceptions, throwing 14 of them. He had six picks alone against the Rams, though he had none in seeing them for a third time in the NFC title game. But we'll see how this goes against an unfamiliar opponent that's had two weeks to prepare for him. The Seahawks have been spending most of their time since Week 16 playing NFC West rematches, so Darnold's comfort level with this defense he's seeing is a huge story to watch.

But on the other side, Drake Maye has taken 15 sacks and fumbled six times in the playoffs alone. He might have a shoulder injury worth monitoring that could affect his deep ball, given that he has time to throw deep. Seattle doesn't blitz much and lacks the dominant pass rusher that the Texans (Will Anderson Jr.) and Broncos (Nik Bonitto, who they shut out) had. That's why in fair weather, it's possible the Patriots look better offensively this week than they have the rest of the playoffs.

But will it be enough to outscore the Seahawks? We'll finally find out on Sunday night.

Super Bowl 60 Bet365 Props & Game Preview

Super Bowl 60 is a great matchup with plenty of unique betting markets available at Bet365 that you can use your bonus bets for. It's also a historic Super Bowl because we're getting to see two young quarterbacks, both still in their twenties, make their first Super Bowl starts: Sam Darnold and Drake Maye.

Neither team made the playoffs last year, either. It's also the first time since the merger that you'll see a Super Bowl with both teams ranked in the top four in both scoring offense and scoring defense.

They also happen to have the two best spread records in the league, and the best record in games where they turn the ball over multiple times. A fairly even matchup in many ways.

Both QBs have been cleared. Drake Maye is off the injury report and Sam Darnold carries no injury designation after being a full participant on Friday.

The one Seahawks name to watch is rookie safety Nick Emmanwori, who went down with an ankle injury in Wednesday's practice and missed Thursday's session. He returned as a full participant Friday and has no injury designation, but the ankle could limit his effectiveness against Maye. On the Patriots' side, linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle), outside linebacker Harold Landry III (knee), and defensive tackle Joshua Farmer (hamstring) are all listed as questionable.

Weather could play a role. Forecasts point toward mild Bay Area conditions with daytime highs in the mid-60s, cooling into the low 50s as the game goes on. Winds should stay light at 5-10 mph out of the northwest. The probability of rain sits around 30%, with some outlooks slightly higher as the evening progresses. If rain does arrive, it is more likely to be light and intermittent, but moisture on the field could influence footing late in the game.

Let's preview some of the Super Bowl bets you can make at Bet365 to make use of this sign-up bonus. You could even wager on weird Super Bowl bets like the coin toss (heads or tails), as Bet365 has done the ethical thing and set the odds at +100 for both sides. A true coin flip.

Both Teams Have the Lead in the 4th Quarter?

Here's an interesting Super Bowl LX special you can bet only at Bet365. You can bet whether or not both teams will have the lead in the fourth quarter:

  • Yes (+205)
  • No (-275)

This has already been a historic postseason, with a record 14 fourth-quarter lead changes, though none have come in the five games involving the Patriots or Seahawks. In 19 of the last 22 Super Bowls, the game was within one score in the fourth quarter, and go-ahead drives have been fairly common in Super Bowls in this time, even if last year's was a total blowout between the Chiefs and Eagles.

There were zero fourth-quarter points scored in the AFC and NFC Championship Games, which was another anomaly, as both games were decided by 3-4 points. So, this feels like solid value for a yes bet as you could see a low-scoring game after a sluggish start before both offenses turn it on late.

Remember, these teams have lost only three times each, and most of those losses were early in the season. The Patriots' only loss since October was a game they led 21-0 too.

Most Time of Possession

At Bet365, you can bet on which team will have the longer time of possession:

  • Seahawks (-150)
  • Patriots (+120)

This feels like an easy call: the Seahawks have the more experienced quarterback and the best third-down defense, while the Patriots have relied more on explosive plays throughout the season and struggled to possess the ball in the postseason. The Patriots also know how to play bend-but-don't-break defense, which can mean longer drives and fewer explosive plays for Seattle. The Seahawks are the right pick here.

Team to Record First Sack

Another Bet365 Super Bowl promo special is to bet on which team (defense) will record the first sack:

  • Seahawks (-150)
  • Patriots (+120)

Not to sound redundant, but this is a great value for the Seahawks, as the Patriots have been allowing sacks at a historic rate in the playoffs. They've allowed 5.0 sacks per playoff game, for a total of 15, second in history behind only the 2021 Bengals (19), who played four games.

But this also makes Drake Maye the only quarterback in playoff history to win consecutive games in which he took 5.0 sacks, and he's done it three weeks in a row. The Seahawks get solid pressure from everywhere, and Maye has taken multiple sacks in every game of his career against winning teams, so it would be a surprise if he didn't eat the turf early and often in this game while Sam Darnold is afforded more time to throw.

Seattle's defensive tackle duo of Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy III has been the NFL's best this season, combining for the most quarterback pressures (108), hits (35), and sacks (14.0) among 300-pound duos. Add in rookie safety Nick Emmanwori's 18 quarterback pressures — the most among all defensive backs — and the Seahawks can generate heat without needing to blitz. That spells trouble for Maye, whose sack rate has more than doubled in the postseason, jumping from 7.8% to 14.7%.

Super Bowl 60 Bet365 Props & Game Preview

Super Bowl 60 features a compelling matchup between teams with little history outside of a classic Super Bowl they played 11 years ago. But almost every person involved with that game is gone, save for offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels of the Patriots, and he wasn't the one who called a pass play from the 1-yard line when he could have run Marshawn Lynch a few more times.

That's on Seattle to correct with Mike Macdonald and Sam Darnold as they try to deny the first ring as a head coach for Mike Vrabel and to stop Drake Maye from becoming the youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl. That's something the 2005 Seahawks failed to do against Ben Roethlisberger 20 years ago with the Steelers.

Let's preview some of the Super Bowl matchups, and don't forget that Bet365 is a great spot for making fun Super Bowl bets like the coin toss or specials using the names of songs of halftime performer Bad Bunny.

When the Seahawks Have the Ball

It really comes down to making sure Sam Darnold is comfortable, something the Seahawks have done well to end the regular season, as he's played turnover-free football over the last three games. However, he was facing the 49ers for the second and third times in those first two games, and that's a defense missing its two best players (Nick Bosa and Fred Warner). Then he got a third look at the Rams in the NFC Championship Game, and that's a team he just faced for the second time in Week 16. So, it has been a ton of rematches for Darnold in the division, which can help you protect the ball better after he had the most giveaways of any quarterback in the regular season.

This is going to come down to which defense creates more impactful splash plays with sacks and turnovers. Darnold is facing an unfamiliar defense that should bear little resemblance to the New England defenses of Bill Belichick that had him seeing ghosts in 2019. He's come a long way, but the single biggest argument against Seattle winning this game has been the expectation that he'll choke on the big stage. That's reasonable, too, given his career path. You never know how a player will perform on the ultimate stage.

The Patriots also have a viable run defense with Milton Williams up front, so this might not be a big game for Kenneth Walker on the ground. The Seahawks also love getting the ball to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Offensive Player of the Year. But the Patriots have a top corner in Christian Gonzalez, who can step up to that matchup. That's why it'll be important for a former Super Bowl MVP like Cooper Kupp to play great for Darnold and calm him down early, as his nerves will likely be going crazy.

The Seahawks have enough players to win this game, and they're easily the healthiest offense the Patriots have seen in many weeks. But they have to finish the job and not give up turnovers and short fields to feed an offense that's been struggling in the playoffs.

When the Patriots Have the Ball

For the Patriots, it's similar to Seattle. Help your young quarterback settle in with runs and some quick, short passes. The Patriots have to face an elite run defense, and the backs haven't been great recently. Drake Maye's legs have been their best runs in the playoffs, and his legs have also been better than his arm. They'll have to eventually test his shoulder injury to see if he can throw deep or not. The Seahawks gave up a lot of pass plays downfield to the Rams last week, so in clear weather, this could be a big game for the Patriots to air it out again.

But you can't air it out without pass protection. The Patriots have allowed 15 sacks this postseason (5.0 sacks in every game), approaching record territory (2021 Bengals – 19 sacks). We'll see if they can keep up against a pass rush that doesn't have the same level of elite rushers as the Texans and Broncos did, but Mike Macdonald does a great job of scheming up pressure with minimal blitzing.

Maye is going to have to scramble a lot and use his legs to make off-script plays, something the Seahawks didn't really have to plan for against Matthew Stafford and the Rams. But if the Patriots can win the turnover battle as they did in Denver, then they can beat this Seattle team. Maye just can't keep fumbling the ball on those sacks, as he's already put it on the ground six times in the playoffs.

‘Neverita' (Ice Cold) – No Points in 1st Quarter

At Bet365, there's a whole section of “Pop Culture Specials” for Super Bowl 60, featuring game props named after Bad Bunny songs. An interesting one is offering +550 odds that there will be no points scored in the first quarter of the Super Bowl. Given how these defenses could dictate the game and the inexperience of two young quarterbacks on the big stage, that might be worth looking into. But they also have many other interesting bets at Bet365 for Super Bowl 60.

Super Bowl LX Odds and Preview

Super Bowl 60 should be a close and competitive game between the Seattle Seahawks (16-3) and the New England Patriots (17-3). Both teams rank in the top four in scoring offense and defense, a feat that has never happened in any Super Bowl matchup since the 1970 merger.

Both teams missed the playoffs last year but are one win away from holding the Super Bowl LX title, just two years after they parted ways with legendary coaches Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll, who met up 11 years ago in a classic (Super Bowl XLIX). We can only hope this game is half as good as that one.

Below are the current Super Bowl betting lines at Caesars Sportsbook and a game preview with keys to victory for each team.

Seattle Seahawks: Keys to Victory

  • Sam Darnold must protect the ball like he has the last three games and not “see ghosts” in a turnover-filled nightmare against an unfamiliar opponent.
  • The Seahawks need to get Jaxon Smith-Njigba away from shutdown corner Christian Gonzalez or utilize the mismatches with Cooper Kupp (Super Bowl 56 MVP) or tight end A.J. Barner.
  • The Seahawks must stay patient with run game with Kenneth Walker going up against a stout interior led by Milton Williams.
  • With very limited Super Bowl experience, the Seahawks must survive the early jitters, as there is always more pressure on the favorite to perform.
  • Defense must keep an eye (or spy) on Drake Maye, as his legs have been more effective than his throwing arm in the postseason.
  • Is Drake Maye's shoulder injury a concern? Test him early.
  • The Seahawks disguise their limited blitzes and should be able to generate solid pressure with 4-man rushes against a struggling offensive line that's allowed 15 sacks in the playoffs.
  • Make winning plays on special teams with Rashid Shaheed, who has already returned three kicks for touchdowns in half a season since joining the team.
  • Win on early downs as the Seahawks have the No. 1 defense on third down and held the Rams to 1-of-8 conversions in the NFC Championship Game.

New England Patriots: Keys to Victory

  • Keep Drake Maye, attempting to become the youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl, calm early with run calls, screens/quick passes, and let him ease into the game.
  • Let Maye test out that arm strength early with a deep shot to make the Seahawks back up their safeties some.
  • Utilize trick plays as the underdog, including any flea-flicker passes or throwing the ball to Maye as a receiver.
  • Lean on the experience of Stefon Diggs, the size of Mack Hollins, and the reliable hands of tight end Hunter Henry.
  • Try to find some lanes for explosive rookie back TreVeyon Henderson and stick with the running game.
  • Don't be afraid to gamble on fourth downs as the underdog.
  • Lean on the Super Bowl experience of Mike Vrabel (won three rings with the Patriots) and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels (coaching in his 10th Super Bowl).
  • Patriots also can excel on special teams with Marcus Jones on punt returns.
  • Maye should scramble like there's no tomorrow (because there isn't in the Super Bowl) to avoid taking more sacks after he's gone down five times in every playoff game.
  • Protect the ball better than Seattle and don't give up short fields with turnovers.
  • Get it to the fourth quarter, where the Patriots are 9-1 at defending a one-score lead this season.

The Seattle Seahawks have steadily remained a 4.5-point favorite in Super Bowl 60 against the New England Patriots. Here are four key storylines to follow for the game and shape the betting narrative for what should be a competitive, defensive battle:

Which Defense Creates More Chaos?

This is a battle of two top-tier defenses. The Seahawks have the No. 1 scoring defense, but will have to prove the 27 points allowed to the Rams with the most deep passing yards (226) in any playoff game in the last decade was just a hiccup as they try to slow down a New England offense that will welcome the mild, dry conditions at Levi's Stadium, a far cry from the snow game in Denver.

The Patriots also have eight takeaways in the playoffs, which is why they've been able to overcome the 15 sacks, 6 fumbles, and 2 interceptions from young Drake Maye. But we'll see which defense can prevail with the most impactful sacks and turnovers.

The Seahawks were minus-3 in turnover differential in the regular season, unbecoming of a 14-win team and No. 1 seed. But the Patriots have also played a lot of injured offenses and backups down the stretch, so this Seattle offense is one of the most talented and healthy they've faced all year, making it a great challenge for both.

Which Quarterback Loses His Nerve?

Both teams are good at stopping the run, so this Super Bowl could be on which quarterback can step up in the passing game and score enough points to win. However, don't expect an efficient shootout.

This is only the fifth Super Bowl in the last nearly 30 years in which both quarterbacks are under 30, and both are making their first Super Bowl appearance. Drake Maye, 23, is attempting to become the youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl, while Sam Darnold, 28, is attempting to rewrite his legacy after this late-bloomer breakout he's undergone.

The fact is, we don't know how these guys will react on the biggest stage in sports, so early nerves could be a problem, and sometimes that never eases up the rest of the game. We saw some of that in Super Bowl XL, when it was Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Hasselbeck in a Seattle loss as the No. 1 seed to a Pittsburgh team with the youngest quarterback ever to win a Super Bowl.

Maye took all those sacks and fumbles this postseason, though the shoulder concern that dominated early Super Bowl week has quieted down. He was a full participant in all three practices this week and carries no injury designation heading into Sunday. The shoulder question is resolved — the question is whether the punishment he's absorbed (15 sacks, 6 fumbles in three playoff games) has a cumulative effect under the lights at Levi's Stadium.

Elite Matchup: Jaxon Smith-Njigba vs. Christian Gonzalez

Maybe the 1-on-1 matchup that could dictate this game the most is Seattle's stud wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba (JSN) going up against New England's star corner Christian Gonzalez, who had a game-sealing interception in the AFC Championship Game. JSN is the likely Offensive Player of the Year. His 1,793 receiving yards were 1,200 more yards than his next closest teammate, so the passing game largely goes through him.

It's long been the Patriot Way to take away your team's best receiver, so it will be interesting to see if Mike Vrabel has his defense shadow JSN with Gonzalez, or if they elect to use double teams and try to force Darnold to throw the ball elsewhere or force some throws he'd prefer not to force to his best receiver.

How this matchup goes could determine the game, but the Seahawks have done a great job all year of finding ways to get JSN open. That's why offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is in high demand as a head coach next year. Maybe Cooper Kupp can take a run at a second Super Bowl MVP award in his career with a big game while JSN draws the most attention.

Special Teams Watch

Don't forget the impact special teams can have on the Super Bowl. Arguably, the biggest game in the 2025 NFC Championship Game was when the Rams muffed an easy punt return with a ridiculous fumble that gave the Seahawks an extra possession and a short field for a touchdown.

The Rams were left chasing the rest of the game. Both of these teams have played sound special teams and could have a difference maker who will try to become the first player in 60 Super Bowls to score a punt return touchdown. Rashid Shaheed (Seahawks) and Marcus Jones (Patriots) are dangerous players in this regard and could have a Devin Hester or Desmond Howard type of impact on this Super Bowl. It could be enough to provide the winning margin.

Injury Report Watch

Both teams are close to full strength, which is rare for a Super Bowl. The Seahawks' only real scare was rookie safety Nick Emmanwori, who tweaked his ankle in Wednesday's practice and missed Thursday, but he returned as a full participant Friday and has no designation.

Macdonald's “turns out he's alive” comment tells you how overblown that was. On New England's side, LB Robert Spillane (ankle) and edge rusher Harold Landry III (knee) are both listed as questionable. Spillane is the Patriots' defensive signal-caller and leading tackler, while Landry is their sack leader — though he hasn't been fully healthy since Week 6 and missed the AFC Championship Game entirely. If Spillane is limited or Landry can't go, it tilts the defensive chess match further toward Seattle.

Can Sam Darnold Protect the Ball One More Time?

Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold is one win away from rewriting his legacy forever, but he must contend with a New England defense that has been great in the playoffs:

  • Darnold led all quarterbacks in turnovers in the regular season but has yet to have one in two playoff games.
  • Darnold threw six interceptions against the Rams in the regular season, but none in the NFC Championship Game.
  • The Patriots have forced 8 takeaways in the postseason.
  • New England's defense has a pick-six in the playoffs and has allowed 19 net points in three playoff games.
  • Four of the last five games for Darnold and the Seahawks have been NFC West rematches.
  • The Seahawks are 3-1 this season when turning the ball over at least three times.

Can New England's Offensive Line Hold Up?

The Patriots have faced stiff defensive competition in the playoffs, but will face another tough challenge in Seattle's No. 1 scoring defense:

  • The Patriots have allowed at least 5 sacks in every playoff game this season, for a total of 15 sacks (the single postseason record is 19 sacks by the 2021 Bengals).
  • The 2025 Patriots are 5-1 when allowing at least 5.0 sacks, the most such wins in a season in NFL history (including playoffs).
  • The 2025 Patriots are the only team in NFL history to win multiple playoff games after allowing 5.0+ sacks.
  • The Patriots can join the 2006 Colts as the only teams to beat the top three scoring defenses in the same postseason.
  • Seattle's defense had 47.0 sacks, like Houston, but no individual player had more than 7.0 sacks.
  • Drake Maye is averaging 5.9 yards per rush in the playoffs compared to 4.4 yards per rush in the regular season.

Key Matchup: Jaxon Smith-Njigba vs. Christian Gonzalez

A key matchup to focus on is Seattle wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba vs. New England corner Christian Gonzalez:

  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 1,793 receiving yards in the regular season (1,200 more yards than the next closest teammate, Cooper Kupp).
  • In the 2025 regular season, Christian Gonzalez allowed 53.6% completions and 6.0 yards per target in coverage.
  • In the playoffs, Gonzalez is allowing 40.7% completions and 4.7 yards per target.
  • Gonzalez has 4 interceptions in 37 career NFL games, including his first this season in the AFC Championship Game.
  • Smith-Njigba has been held under 72 yards twice all season (23 yards vs. the Vikings, 19 yards vs. the 49ers).
  • The Patriots haven't allowed any receiver to have more than 65 yards in a victory against them since the Raiders had two such players in Week 1 with Brock Bowers (103) and Jakobi Meyers (97).
  • Only three wide receivers have had 100 yards against the Patriots this season.
  • Darnold has thrown four interceptions while targeting Smith-Njigba this season.

Fun Super Bowl Bets: 10 Weird Prop Bets You Can Place on Super Bowl 60 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/sportsbook/fun-super-bowl-bets-10-weird-prop-bets-you-can-place-on-super-bowl-60/ Tue, 03 Feb 2026 18:30:08 +0000 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/?p=121398 Weird and fun Super Bowl bets 2026

While serious bettors are breaking down the Super Bowl 60 betting lines with a magnifying glass, casual bettors can find dozens of fun and weird prop bets for this year's biggest sports betting event.

We're not even talking about the coin toss, because that's only weird if you get anything other than +100 odds for either side. Instead, we're getting more creative than with some very weird Super Bowl prop bets for Sunday night's big game.

That said, let's take a look at 10 fun Super Bowl bets for the Seahawks vs. Patriots to spice up your viewing experience.

Fun Super Bowl Bets for the Seahawks vs. Patriots

Please always remember to gamble responsibly, but especially regarding novelty and weird Super Bowl bets like the following group we're going to list. Without further ado, here are the wackiest and most fun Super Bowl prop bets you can make on this year's game:

1. Will Mack Hollins Enter the Stadium Barefoot?

We said these were going to be weird Super Bowl props, but this one may be the lock of the night. New England receiver Mack Hollins already gained notoriety last year in Buffalo for showing up to games barefoot, and he's brought his bohemian lifestyle vibe with him to New England and has continued to do the same, even in freezing cold temperatures. Showing up to the Super Bowl in sunny California feels like a given, and the odds reflect that:

  • Yes (-550)
  • No (+325)

One easy call to start the evening.

2. Will They Mention Matchup Is Mike vs. Mike?

One of the stories on Championship Sunday was that all four coaches were named Sean or Mike, so we were going to get a combo of those names in the Super Bowl, and it ended up being Mike vs. Mike with Vrabel vs. Macdonald. You can bet on whether the NBC broadcast will clearly state that this is a Mike vs. Mike matchup:

  • Yes (+200)
  • No (-300)

Let me tell you why the “Yes” is a good value here. NBC's Mike Tirico is calling this Super Bowl alongside Cris Collinsworth, and he doesn't feel like someone who would let this Mike vs. Mike superiority go by without calling it out, as it's his first name, too. Maybe they'll even mention it's Mike vs. Mike, called by Mike on the mic.

3. Which Song Will Green Day Play First in the Pregame Show?

While Bad Bunny is the Super Bowl 60 halftime show performer this year, a lot of music fans who yearn for the days of a rock band performing at the Super Bowl are in luck when Green Day is set to take the stage in the pregame show. You can even bet on the first song they'll perform with some of the favorite tracks, including:

  • American Idiot (+100)
  • Basket Case (+300)
  • Know Your Enemy (+400)
  • Boulevard of Broken Dreams (+500)
  • When I Come Around (+600)
  • 21 Guns (+700)
  • Holiday (+750)
  • Minority (+800)

Shout out to Longview as a +1200 longshot, but it feels like smart money is on American Idiot here as they opened most of their 2025 shows with it.

4. Will Bad Bunny Expose a Nipple?

Bad Bunny is the Super Bowl 60 halftime performer, and he's reportedly going to wear a dress to honor the LGBTQ+ community. In fact, you can even bet on what type of dress he'll be wearing, with “Ball Gown” leading at +175. But with a wardrobe change expected too, it's funny to see the overwhelming odds for Bad Bunny to expose a nipple during the show:

  • Yes (-450)
  • No (+275)

Does it count as a Janet Jackson-sized wardrobe malfunction if a man exposes a nipple? Probably not. After all, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 showed us both nipples and a ton of tattoos at his Super Bowl halftime performance in 2019.

Place a Super Bowl Bet at BEtMGM – Get a $1,500 Bonus

5. Will Seattle Attempt a Pass from the Opponent's 1-Yard Line?

For those fans of NFL history and for the Seattle fans with PTSD, the Malcolm Butler interception from the 1-yard line in Super Bowl XLIX is a highlight you'll see all week. Now there's a fun Super Bowl 2026 prop related to it, as you can bet whether the Seahawks will attempt a pass from the opponent's 1-yard line a la the ill-fated attempt Russell Wilson and the Seahawks made 11 Super Bowls ago:

  • Yes (+550)
  • No (-1000)

For what it's worth, the Seahawks have seven 1-yard touchdowns this season, and they were all rushing plays. They may want to avoid a repeat of the costliest interception in NFL history.

6. Will a Patriots Linebacker Catch a Pass in the Game?

This one is a lot of fun as it's a callback to Mike Vrabel catching a touchdown as a New England linebacker in Super Bowls against the Panthers (2003) and Eagles (2004). Here are the odds for a New England player to catch a pass in this game:

  • Yes (+600)
  • No (-1500)

Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was on those staffs, too, and the Patriots respect NFL history. This would be a lot easier to play if it were a New England defensive player catching a pass, since they have brought in defenders on their Tush Push calls this year that they could throw a trick pass from. But a linebacker is very specific, limiting options. Still, that would be quite the throwback to Vrabel doing it for them in two Super Bowls.

7. Will Dave Portnoy Be Removed from Levi's Stadium?

Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy is one of the most vocal Patriots fans working in media today, and he's no stranger to hijinks and the idea that “all press is good press” for his company. You can find a prop with a “Yes” only market for him to be removed by Levi's Stadium security, and one with even greater odds for him to be dragged or handcuffed for causing a ruckus:

  • Yes – Removed from Stadium (+1000)
  • Yes – Dragged or Handcuffed (+2000)

If only you could parlay that with a Seattle blowout on the alternate spread, because that would sound like a perfect night if you're rooting against New England.

8. Will Terry McAulay Disagree with a Call After Review

With Super Bowl 60 on NBC this year, that means that rules analyst Terry McAulay will be part of the broadcast. He will have a chance to weigh in on any penalties or decisions made about an instant replay review. There is a betting market on whether or not McAulay will disagree with a call after review:

  • Yes (+100)
  • No (-140)

The wording of this one is interesting, as it says after a review. If there's a judgmental penalty call like defensive pass interference that McAulay doesn't agree with, that doesn't necessarily count as a play that was reviewed. So, this one feels very specific, and it is unlikely he'll go against the referees on a big call with everyone watching the game.

9. What Color of Gatorade/Liquid Will Be Poured on the Winning Coach?

It's been a longstanding tradition for the Super Bowl-winning coach to get a “Gatorade bath” or some other type of liquid from his players in celebration. You can always bet on what color the liquid will be with the following odds:

  • Orange (+240)
  • Blue (+240)
  • Yellow/Green/Lime (+275)
  • Purple (+550)
  • Clear/Water (+700)
  • Red/Pink (+1400)

With both teams sporting blue, that feels like a safe call.

10. Will Stefon Diggs Propose to Cardi B After the Game?

Well, it was either this one or which massage parlor Patriots owner Robert Kraft will visit first (that's a real Super Bowl 2026 prop at offshore sportsbook BetOnline). But the idea of a power couple having a wedding proposal after the game has been popular the last few years because Travis Kelce has always been in this game with Taylor Swift. Some will still believe to this day he would have done it on the stage last year had the three-peat been completed.

As for New England wide receiver Stefon Diggs and musical artist Cardi B, you get only a “Yes” market for this one:

  • Yes (+1000)

Just a friendly reminder that Diggs' Minnesota teammates once said in a 2021 video that he'd be the last teammate they'd want dating their sister. He's probably content for settling for a Super Bowl ring as his only ring on Sunday night.

Super Bowl 60 FanDuel Props & Game Preview

Super Bowl 60 is a historic matchup, as it's the first time since the merger that both participating teams rank in the top four in both scoring offense and defense. Much has been made of the Patriots' easy schedule this year, but it is hard to get to 17-3 in the NFL with numbers like these, no matter who you face. So, it's safe to say they are a competitive 4.5-point underdog who has lost only once since October.

Let's preview some of the Super Bowl bets you can make at FanDuel to unlock the sign-up bonus.

Cooper Kupp's Second Super Bowl MVP?

The one Super Bowl MVP playing in this game is Seattle wideout Cooper Kupp. Can he repeat his dream night with the Rams and win another MVP award?

  • Cooper Kupp Over 32.5 Receiving Yards (-110): With the Patriots looking to take Jaxon Smith-Njigba out of the game as much as possible, Kupp could be in store for a big game after he had 36  yards and a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game against his former team.
  • Cooper Kupp Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+260): The crafty veteran scored last week against the Rams and scored the game-winning touchdown against the Bengals in Super Bowl 56 already. He has the sixth-best odds to score in this game.
  • Cooper Kupp Over 0.5 First Quarter Receiving Yards (-114): Is this line serious? Kupp's nerves should be better than his teammates since he's been on this stage before. Look for him to make an early catch and calm down Sam Darnold.

Sam Darnold Prop Picks

Sam Darnold is one win away from doing the unthinkable by winning a Super Bowl in his first year with the Seahawks. Let's look at his best prop picks.

  • Sam Darnold Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-108): From seeing ghosts to Ghostbuster, Darnold will find a way to throw multiple touchdowns in this game against a New England defense that has not faced an offense this healthy or talented in many weeks.
  • Sam Darnold Over 0.5 Passes Intercepted (-128): While Darnold has yet to throw an interception or turn the ball over at all in the playoffs, we're going to count on him to throw a pick here as some early jitters get to him against a defense he's unfamiliar with after playing almost exclusively NFC West teams for the last six weeks.
  • Sam Darnold Over 228.5 Passing  Yards (-110): With the Patriots stuffing Kenneth Walker and the running game with Milton Williams up front, look for the Seahawks to throw the ball more than they'd like to, and Darnold will go over 228.5 passing yards.

Super Bowl Touchdown Scorer Props

In a game that could be limited on scoring, let's look at some good value picks for touchdown scorers at FanDuel:

  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba (-110): He's been great all year for Darnold, and the Seahawks have so many ways to free him up that he's always a good option for touchdown scorer props.
  • Drake Maye (+280): If the young quarterback is frazzled by the defense he's seeing and doesn't trust his arm with the shoulder injury, then taking off and scrambling could be his best play of the night. Maye scored a rushing touchdown in the AFC Championship Game and is a good value to do it again here.
  • TreVeyon Henderson (+500): The rookie back has been struggling to get anything going in the playoffs, but these odds are great value for someone who has taken four 50+ yard rushing touchdowns to the house this season.
  • New England Defense (+850): In Mike Vrabel's first Super Bowl win as a player with the 2001 Patriots, he had a key pressure in Kurt Warner's face that led to Ty Law's pick-six for a huge touchdown in the team's upset of the Rams. Maybe history repeats itself, and the Patriots score their second return touchdown of these playoffs on defense.

Super Bowl Betting Lines: Point Spread, Total, Moneyline for Super Bowl 60 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/sportsbook/super-bowl-betting-lines-point-spread-total-moneyline-for-super-bowl-60/ Mon, 02 Feb 2026 16:30:27 +0000 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/?p=121297

On Sunday night, Super Bowl 60 will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. It's a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. We've got the latest Super Bowl betting lines for what will be the most bet on event of the year.

Keep reading to see the latest Super Bowl odds and top betting markets for this year's Big Game.

Super Bowl Betting Lines

The most common Super Bowl 2026 line has seen the Seahawks as 4.5-point favorites. That said, let's discuss each Super Bowl betting line below for the most popular markets, including the spread, moneyline, and total.

Super Bowl Spread

The betting line for Super Bowl 2026 has remained fairly consistent for the first week, with the Seahawks as 4.5-point favorites at the majority of sportsbooks. As an example, here are the latest Super Bowl odds from FanDuel:

  • Seahawks -4.5 (-112)
  • Patriots +4.5 (-108)

Note: You can get the Patriots with a bit friendlier juice at Bet365 and BetMGM (+4.5 with -105 odds).

Here are some trends and facts to consider before betting on the Super Bowl spread this year:

  • The Seahawks (14-5 ATS) and Patriots (13-6-1 ATS) had the two best spread records in the NFL in 2025, the first time that's happened in a Super Bowl matchup since the 2017 Eagles vs. Patriots.
  • The Seahawks outperformed the spread by an average of +7.9 points, the best in the NFL.
  • The Patriots outperformed the spread by an average of +6.2 points, the second-best mark in the NFL.
  • The Patriots are 4-2 ATS as an underdog this season.
  • The Seahawks are 12-4 ATS as a favorite this season, the third-best record and the best performance against the spread in such games (+8.3 points on average).
  • In the last five Super Bowls, the underdog is 5-0 ATS.
  • Super Bowl underdogs are 16-6 ATS (72.7%) since 2002.
  • The last New England vs. Seattle Super Bowl (XLIX) was the only Super Bowl in history to be a pick 'em (no line).
  • Since 1997, Super Bowl underdogs of 4+ points are 11-3-1 ATS.

Bet $5, Get $200 On the SUper Bowl Spread at FanDuel

New customers only. Must be 21+ and present in a FanDuel legal state. First wager must be $5 or more. If first bet wins, receive $300 in bonus bets. Bonus bets expire 7 days after receipt. See FanDuel.com/sportsbook for full terms and conditions. Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Super Bowl MoneyLine

We know the Seahawks are favorites, but what is the straight-up betting line on the Super Bowl? These are the latest moneyline odds from Bet365 to win Super Bowl 60:

  • Seahawks (-230)
  • Patriots (+190)

Here are some facts to consider before betting on the Super Bowl moneyline:

  • Since 2020, underdogs (Patriots) are 4-1 SU in the Super Bowl.
  • Since the 2001 Patriots upset the Rams in Super Bowl 36, the underdog is 13-10 SU (56.5%).
  • Seattle (16-3) has only lost three games by a combined 9 points this season.
  • Seattle is 13-1 in its last 14 games, only losing 21-19 to the Rams despite four interceptions by Sam Darnold.
  • The Patriots (17-3) are 16-1 in their last 17 games, only losing 35-31 to the Bills after blowing a 21-point lead at home.

Super Bowl Total

Finally, the betting line for Super Bowl 60's total is settling around 45.5 points with the current odds from DraftKings as follows:

  • Over 45.5 (-108)
  • Under 45.5 (-112)

Here are some trends and data to consider before betting on the Super Bowl 60 total:

  • The under is 5-2 in the last seven Super Bowls.
  • The over was 12-8 in New England games and 11-8 in Seattle games this year.
  • The over was 4-2 in games where New England was an underdog.
  • The 45.5 total would be the lowest in a Super Bowl since 10 years ago, in Super Bowl 50 (Denver vs. Carolina, O/U 44.0), which was also played at Levi's Stadium (Denver won 24-10).
  • In Super Bowls with a total between 41-46 points, the over is 5-2.
  • In 17 Super Bowls between two top-five scoring defenses, 10 of the 17 games finished under 45.5 points, but the last four such games have all gone over 45.5 points, including 47 points in the 2023 Chiefs vs. 49ers and 62 points in the 2024 Chiefs vs. Eagles.

Top 5 Most Popular Super Bowl Bets: MVP, TD Scorer, Receiving Props https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/sportsbook/top-5-biggest-super-bowl-wagers/ Thu, 29 Jan 2026 19:00:37 +0000 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/?p=99837 Most popular super bowl bets and props

Super Bowl 60 features the Seattle Seahawks (16-3) against the New England Patriots (17-3) in a rematch from Seattle's last Super Bowl to end the 2014 season. We'll see if this new team learned the lesson that you shouldn't test the Patriots with a pass from the 1-yard line. But the Seahawks come in as the favorite, while the Patriots have a quarterback, Drake Maye, who is an MVP finalist and could become the youngest quarterback ever to win a Super Bowl.

But what are some of the most popular Super Bowl bets so far? We examine five of the biggest Super Bowl wagers people are already making. We also provide links and information to access some of the best Super Bowl betting offers from top-rated NFL sportsbooks.

  • Spread: Seahawks -4.5
  • Total: O/U 45.5
  • Defense Advantage: The Seahawks are the No. 1 scoring defense, No. 1 third-down defense, and have played tougher quarterbacks all year than the Patriots.
  • Offensive Mismatch: New England's offensive line has allowed 15 sacks this postseason (second most ever) and faces another tough front.
  • Risk Factors: Sam Darnold has yet to turn the ball over in the postseason, but led all quarterbacks in turnovers in the regular season.

Seahawks vs. Patriots: Top 5  Most Popular Wagers for Super Bowl 60

We know there are more Super Bowl bets than on any other sporting event in the year. Let's dig into some of the Super Bowl best bets that you can make today, as well as other wagers on Super Bowl 60 you might not have thought of yet.

1. Cooper Kupp Over 30.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Seattle's second-leading receiver is a former Super Bowl MVP (2021 Rams) and could be in store for a big night and an easy over for your Super Bowl prop bets:

  • Kupp is a big-time postseason performer with 60 yards against the 49ers and 36 yards (plus a touchdown) against the Rams this year.
  • The Patriots may try to put star corner Christian Gonzalez on Jaxon Smith-Njigba to slow him down, freeing up Kupp as the next trustworthy option.
  • New England's strong run defense could force the Seahawks to throw more than they'd like to in this game, giving more targets to Kupp.

2. Hunter Henry Longest Reception Over 17.5 Yards (-118)

We haven't seen a ton of passing production from the Patriots in the playoffs, but that could change in better weather here with one of Drake Maye's big targets in tight end Hunter Henry:

  • Maye's best pass this postseason was a deep touchdown to Henry against the Chargers.
  • The Seahawks have shown vulnerability to big plays by tight ends.
  • Maye will find more comfort in throwing to his tight end than testing some of these corners out wide on his other receivers.

3. Kenneth Walker Under 74.5 Rushing  Yards (-110)

The Seahawks would like to run the ball here, but Kenneth Walker faces a tough matchup:

  • The Patriots have the No. 6 rushing defense and have yet to allow any team to rush for 90 yards this postseason.
  • Kenneth Walker was held in check with 62 yards on 19 carries against the Rams last week despite past success against them.
  • Big Milton Williams is a force for the Patriots' run defense, and he can crash the interior to make life hard on the Seahawks.

4. Stefon Diggs to Score a Touchdown (+240)

Not many players have great odds to score a touchdown in this matchup, but Stefon Diggs could be one to watch in his Super Bowl debut:

  • The veteran has caught 5 touchdowns in his playoff career, including a tough grab for a score against Houston's defense in the AFC Divisional.
  • Diggs has caught 83.3% of his targets this year to lead all wideouts.
  • Diggs is a reliable red-zone target that Maye should feel comfortable going to in a big spot against another strong defense.

5. Super Bowl MVP: Not a Quarterback (+210)

While the quarterbacks have the best odds to win Super Bowl MVP as usual, many sportsbooks like FanDuel offer odds for a non-quarterback to win the MVP, a pick that makes a lot of sense here:

  • Sam Darnold and Drake Maye are still in their 20s and have never played in a game of this magnitude.
  • Expect both quarterbacks to be nervous and shaky early in the game, akin to 2005, when Ben Roethlisberger (Steelers) faced Matt Hasselbeck (Seahawks).
  • Both defenses rank in the top four in scoring defense and could make life hard on these quarterbacks by stopping the run and forcing them to play from behind.
  • Darnold could see his best receiver (JSN) taken away by Christian Gonzalez and double teams, leading to forced throws and possibly interceptions or a pick-six.
  • Maye has fumbled six times, thrown two picks, and taken 15 sacks in the postseason, and hasn't played well in any of the games yet.
  • The teams have more than a handful of return touchdowns, so dark horses like Rashid Shaheed and Marcus Jones could enter the MVP mix with a return score

Super Bowl Spread: What’s the Point Spread for Super Bowl 60? https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/sportsbook/super-bowl-spread-whats-the-point-spread-for-super-bowl-60/ Mon, 26 Jan 2026 15:30:44 +0000 https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/?p=120955 Super Bowl spread 2026

After Championship Sunday, Super Bowl 60 is set with the New England Patriots taking on the Seattle Seahawks. With two weeks to prepare for the big game, the Super Bowl spread is already a topic of interest for bettors and fans alike. Let's look at that early betting line for Super Bowl 60, and what recent trends tell us about betting on the Super Bowl spread.

What's the Point Spread for Super Bowl 60?

The Super Bowl point spread opened with the Seahawks as a 4.5-point favorite at most top-rated NFL sportsbooks. It was originally thought that the Patriots would be a 3.5-point underdog to either NFC winner, but oddsmakers set the Super Bowl spread 2026 at -4.5 in Seattle's favor.

Expect some line movement across the next two weeks as a high volume of bets will surely come in on The Big Game.

The betting line for Super Bowl 60 is rounded out with a total of 46.5 points, and the Seahawks are -240 odds on the moneyline, and the Patriots are +198 on the moneyline.

FanDuel spread for Super Bowl 60

Overall Super Bowl Spread Betting Trends

This is the second Super Bowl between the Seahawks and Patriots. The first one, Super Bowl 49, came during the 2014 season and was an instant classic, with the Patriots winning 28-24. It remains the only Super Bowl to be a pick 'em, with neither team favored.

Here are some notable spread betting trends in Super Bowls:

  • The Super Bowl favorite is 37-21 SU (63.8%) and 28-28-2 ATS (50%).
  • The last five Super Bowl favorites are 0-5 ATS and 1-4 SU.
  • Ever since the 2007 Patriots lost to the Giants in Super Bowl 42, the Super Bowl favorite is 4-13 ATS (23.5%) and 6-11 SU.
  • When the Super Bowl favorite is favored by 4-to-5 points, they are 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS.
  • The last 4-point favorite in the Super Bowl was the 2021 Rams vs. the Bengals (+4); the Rams won 23-20 at home at SoFi Stadium.

Super Bowl Point Spread Trends for Patriots and Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks (16-3) and New England Patriots (17-3) have each lost just two times since Week 2 following home losses on opening day. They have been very good teams to bet on this year, which is another reason why many were wondering what the line is on the Super Bowl between these two winners.

Here are some notable betting trends on each Super Bowl contestant this season:

  • The Seahawks are a league-best 14-5 ATS (73.7%).
  • The Patriots are second in the NFL with a 13-6-1 ATS (68.4%) record.
  • This is the first time since Super Bowl 52 (2017 Eagles vs. Patriots), when the top two spread record teams met in the Super Bowl, and in that game, the underdog Eagles (+4.5) won 41-33 after both teams were 12-6 ATS going into the game.
  • Seattle beat the spread by an average of +7.9 points (the highest in the NFL in 2025), and the Patriots (+6.2) ranked No. 2 in that stat.
  • The 2025 Seahawks are 12-4 ATS as a favorite.
  • The 2025 Patriots are 4-2 ATS as an underdog.
  • Against non-conference opponents in 2025, the Patriots are 4-1 ATS, and the Seahawks are 3-2 ATS.
  • Since 2024, Seattle coach Mike Macdonald is the league's best ATS in away games, going 12-4-1.
  • Patriots coach Mike Vrabel is 18-9 ATS and 15-12 SU as an underdog of 4+ points, including a 1-0 record with the Patriots this year.

Keep checking in over the next two weeks to see what the spread is on the Super Bowl before kickoff on February 8, 2026. You can also view our helpful Super Bowl betting guide to learn how to place your first wager on The Big Game.

Best NFL Games to Bet on for Conference Championship Round

Championship Sunday has two big games in the NFL this weekend. Let's preview the games below for an idea of which teams will earn an invite to Super Bowl LX.

Sunday| 3:00 PM ET | New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos (+5.5, O/U 42.5)

In his second season as a starter, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye can do something Tom Brady never did: Win a road playoff game at Denver. Even Brady was 0-3 at Mile High, the site where Josh Allen turned the ball over four times last week in a 33-30 loss, the first playoff win for the Broncos since Super Bowl 50. It was also that season in 2015 when the Broncos beat the Patriots with an offense coordinated by Josh McDaniels. But the Patriots come to Denver as a considerable road favorite after the spread moved a full touchdown with the news that starter Bo Nix is out for the season after ankle surgery.

Nix was injured on the game-winning drive in overtime, rushing for a 2-yard loss that cost the Broncos so much more, as they would have been home favorites with Nix here. Now, they must turn to Jarrett Stidham, a quarterback the Patriots actually drafted in the fourth round in 2019. He has four career starts, and two of them were for McDaniels in Las Vegas in 2022. The other two were for Sean Payton in 2023 with Denver, so he has real coaching pedigree, which started with Bill Belichick in New England. But Stidham has big shoes to fill as the Broncos only handed the ball off 10 times to running backs last week. They must protect Stidham better with a run game, as the Patriots are playing incredible defense.

It could be harder on Stidham, too, with the injuries the Broncos have at the skill positions. They're not sure if running back J.K. Dobbins, their best runner, can return this week or not after a lengthy absence. The status of some wideouts who were injured in Saturday's game is also unclear, including Pat Bryant and Troy Franklin. Stidham is going to have his work cut out for him against a secondary that intercepted C.J. Stroud (Texans) four times before halftime on Sunday. They also have a great corner in Christian Gonzalez, who can take on Courtland Sutton.

But if the Broncos are going to win this one or make it close, it has to be done on the defensive side of the ball. The Broncos led the NFL this year with 68 sacks, including a team-high 14.0 sacks by Nik Bonitto. Fortunately, sacks are one of the biggest flaws for Drake Maye, who has already taken 10 sacks and fumbled six times in two playoff games. He has five turnovers total in the playoffs despite the Patriots winning each game by two touchdowns, a sign of how great their defense has been. Maye has also played much better in the second half of games, which is where the Broncos have been a strong team all year.

Denver is 8-1 at game-winning drive opportunities as Nix tied the single-season record with his eighth game-winning drive last week. Stidham has never led a game-winning drive, though he almost upset the 2022 49ers in an overtime loss in Vegas. But he could be tested to win this one late if it's a low-scoring affair, as it likely needs to be if the Broncos are going to pull off the upset.

Remember, these teams had the two weakest strength of schedules this year to get to this game. The Patriots are catching a historic break with Stidham having to start a title game after two years of inactivity. However, Sean Payton is a very experienced offensive coach, and if he wants to cement his legacy by getting to the Super Bowl with a second franchise with a backup quarterback coming in cold, this would be the perfect way to cement a Hall of Fame bust with a win here.

Sunday| 6:30 PM ET | Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks (-2.5, O/U 47.5)

When these teams met in Week 16, it was the Game of the Year, with the Seahawks rallying from a 30-14 deficit in the final 10:00 to force overtime, where they won in historic walk-off fashion after a 2-point conversion gave them the 38-37 win. That's the first game in NFL history in which 15 points were scored in overtime, with both teams finding the end zone.

That game is also why the Rams (14-5) are just the No. 5 seed and on the road for this one against the Seahawks (15-3). These teams both finished over 100 points better in scoring differential compared to the rest of the NFC, so maybe it was inevitable they'd meet here with the Super Bowl on the line. The Seahawks are a slight road favorite, but home-field advantage could be huge in a stadium as loud as Seattle's. The Rams are used to playing there, but they have struggled on the road in these playoffs, just getting by the Panthers and Bears. The Seahawks have the No. 1 scoring defense and nearly beat the Rams on the road in a game where Sam Darnold threw four interceptions.

This game is likely to come down to which quarterback protects the ball better and doesn't give the other team great field position. Darnold did a poor job of that in the first game and has six interceptions against the Rams this year. But Matthew Stafford has not been that accurate since he injured his throwing hand in Carolina. He actually became the first quarterback in 101 tries since 1970 last week to win a road game while throwing 40 passes, completing only 50%, and not throwing a touchdown. It was a grind, but it was also quite cold in Chicago. The weather shouldn't be a factor here (cloudy and around 40 degrees).

But the Seahawks have lived on short fields in the second half of the season. Their average touchdown drive since Week 13 has started inside opponent territory, a full 6.0 yards better than any other team in that span. The Seahawks also have eight return touchdowns (six since November), including a 95-yard kickoff return touchdown by Rashid Shaheed to start last week's 41-6 demolition of the 49ers in the Divisional Round. The Seahawks also sparked their comeback against the Rams with a punt return touchdown, so the Rams really have to watch out on special teams, which has been a problem area for them all year. That's where the Seahawks can make up a lot of hidden yards and get superior field position, as Darnold hasn't been driving long fields for weeks now.

The Rams have done a good job of protecting Stafford against this pass rush, as he's yet to take a sack in two games against Seattle. The running game has also been there for both teams in both games, so it's just a matter of which quarterback can avoid the huge mistakes that we've seen lead to so many losses in the playoffs for teams this year.

It should also be a great coaching matchup. Sean McVay, who turns 40 on Saturday, is 10-5 in the playoffs and 7-1 when he's facing a team in a rematch from the regular season. The only loss was last year in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Seattle coach Mike Macdonald is only in his second season, but he is 7-0 in rematches against NFC West rivals, so that's impressive too.

Finally, it's the Rams' No. 1 scoring offense against the Seahawks' No. 1 scoring defense. Historically, the No. 1 defense is 8-7 in such playoff matchups since 1970. However, that includes a 5-1 record in neutral-site Super Bowls. That means the defense is only 3-6 in playoff games before the Super Bowl, but at least the Seahawks are home for this one, where the home team wins 67.7% of the time in a Conference Championship Game rematch from the regular season.

NFL Betting Lines for Conference Championship Games: Spreads, Storylines & Facts to Know

It's been a strange 2025 season in the NFL, so maybe it's no surprise we're getting one chalk matchup between the best teams in the NFC and one historic matchup in the AFC between the teams that had the easiest schedules in the regular season. The winners will meet in San Francisco in two weeks, but the one thing we already know is that the NFC winner this Sunday will be the favorite in Super Bowl LX over the AFC.

Kicking things off on Sunday afternoon is the AFC Championship Game in Denver between the top-seeded Broncos (15-3) and the No. 2 New England Patriots (16-3). That's a rematch of the 2015 AFC Championship Game, the last matchup between legendary quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, which Manning won. But Sunday is quite different as we have Drake Maye in his first AFC title game as a second-year player and Jarrett Stidham in his fifth-career start after ankle surgery ended Bo Nix's season following the 33-30 overtime win over Buffalo.

It's a stunning turn of events for Denver, which went with such a quarterback-centric approach on offense last week, too, with Nix having the ball on over 85% of the offensive snaps. Head coach Sean Payton will have to adjust to a quarterback, Stidham, who has not thrown a pass in a regular-season game since 2023, making it unprecedented for him to start a championship game for a team. At the very least, Stidham does rank 25th in passing yards for a quarterback through four career starts, as he has thrown for over 200 yards and a touchdown in each of his four starts, including two starts in a Payton-coached offense in Denver in 2023.

However, Stidham has started before for Josh McDaniels, the current offensive coordinator of the Patriots, so he should know what makes him tick and what he struggles with. But the way for Denver to pull off the upset will be on defense with the No. 1 defense in sacks this year. They must cause absolute havoc against Drake Maye's offensive line. Maye has already taken 10 sacks and fumbled six times (three lost) in the two playoff games. The Patriots are winning because their defense has been dominant, so the Broncos have to make sure they're the best defense on the field Sunday. But it is worth noting that the Patriots have twice this year won consecutive games by taking 5.0 sacks, throwing a pick, and committing multiple interceptions. That has only happened two other times in NFL history, so they seem uniquely qualified to survive a sloppy game thanks to their defense.

While it may be the best defense wins the day in Denver, Sunday evening's NFC Championship Game between the No. 5 Los Angeles Rams (14-5) and No. 1 Seattle Seahawks (15-3) may also come down to the defense that plays the best. The Seahawks have the No. 1 scoring defense, but they did surrender 37 points and over 550 yards of offense to the Rams in Week 16. It was such a weird game, too, since the Seahawks previously held Matthew Stafford to a season-low 130 passing yards in Los Angeles. But in a game on the road without Davante Adams, Stafford passed for 457 yards and three touchdowns.

But the Rams blew a 30-14 lead in the final 10:00, which is why Seattle won the No. 1 seed and is hosting this game instead of the Rams, who have allowed five game-winning drives this season. The Rams also allowed late touchdowns to the Panthers and Bears before coming back to win on a late drive led by Stafford, who now has 55 game-winning drives, ranked fifth in NFL history.  But the first-team All-Pro quarterback has not been as sharp since he injured his finger on his throwing hand in the Wild Card round in Carolina. He completed fewer than 50% of his passes in Chicago, but it was one of the coldest games of his career, and it was snowy. Conditions should be fine in Seattle this Sunday night.

All eyes will be on Sam Darnold, too. He was in danger of falling to 0-4 to the Rams since 2024 before that wild comeback that was also aided by big special teams plays, and the flukiest 2-point conversion you'll ever see on a batted backwards pass that was recovered for a game-tying score by the Seahawks. It was also the first game in NFL history in which a team won on a walk-off 2-point conversion after giving up a touchdown in overtime.

With that said, it should be an interesting Championship Sunday from start to finish. Sign up at NFL sportsbooks for over $8,000 in bonus bets.
