Best NFL Week 7 Games to Bet On<\/h2>\n

The NFL Week 7 has plenty of important games as we move through a season with many upsets already. We've narrowed it down to two of the best games you can bet on and give our best betting predictions.<\/p>\n

Sunday | 4:05 PM ET | Indianapolis Colts vs. Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5, O\/U 48.5)<\/h3>\n

If the playoffs started today, the Indianapolis Colts (5-1) would be the No. 1 seed. They've passed every test so far except for their 27-20 loss in SoFi Stadium against the Rams when wideout Adonai Mitchell made two huge mistakes to cost the team touchdowns. The Colts get a second chance at SoFi, but this time they have to face the Los Angeles Chargers, who just got past the Miami Dolphins last week after blowing a late 13-point lead. The Chargers have also lost to the Giants and Commanders as favorites this year, so they have gone through a rough patch with plenty of injuries around Justin Herbert.<\/p>\n

But Herbert and Daniel Jones have the potential for a great shootout here. The Colts rank No. 1 in yards and points per drive, and they've scored the most points in franchise history through six games. Yes, more than any team led by Johnny Unitas, Peyton Manning, or Andrew Luck. Jones has helped Jonathan Taylor, a favorite for Offensive Player of the Year. But Jones' improved play has been the story so far after many had written him off after such a dismal career in New York.<\/p>\n

Jones is still No. 1 in QBR at ESPN, and his drive efficiency has never improved. The Chargers have their own MVP candidate in Herbert, but the Colts arguably come into this game with the better offense and a comparable defense. We'll see if they can beat a good team on the road to get to 6-1 while the Chargers try to maintain pace in leading the AFC West. It should be a Sunday standout game with plenty of nice betting opportunities.<\/p>\n

Monday | 7:00 PM ET | Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions (-5.5, O\/U 52.5)<\/h3>\n

The best game of Week 7 kicks off the latest Monday night doubleheader, but you can watch Buccaneers vs. Lions in full before Texans vs. Seahawks kicks off. That's unless we get overtime, as the Bucs have played many close games this season, with all six of their games being a one-score deficit in the fourth quarter. They're 5-1 despite numerous injuries to Baker Mayfield's receiving corps. But the reason he's getting MVP chants (and the best odds of his career) is the way he's making it work with anyone they give him after injuries to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Emeka Egbuka led to Mayfield throwing touchdowns to random receivers in a 30-19 win over the 49ers.<\/p>\n

Todd Bowles is also starting to cook things up defensively after creating three turnovers from Mac Jones. He'll have to do well against Jared Goff, who is completing almost every pass he throws these days. But the Chiefs showed that you can get to this team if you contain the run and tackle the receivers immediately to limit big plays, as they did after halftime to beat the Lions 30-17 for only Detroit's second loss. The Bucs can certainly stop the run, but we'll see if the secondary can hold up in the dome where Goff is so sharp.<\/p>\n

However, these teams met in Detroit early last year, and even with Aidan Hutchinson having a monster game in sacking Mayfield, the Bucs still won 20-16. These teams also met in the 2023 playoffs, so don't discount Tampa's familiarity with this opponent, especially if they can get some of their top wide receivers back in this matchup before Monday night.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
