{"id":115859,"date":"2025-11-11T10:00:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T15:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/?p=115859"},"modified":"2025-11-11T11:31:34","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T16:31:34","slug":"nfl-week-10-recap-trevor-lawrence-2025-stats-drops-jaguars-struggles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/analysis\/nfl-week-10-recap-trevor-lawrence-2025-stats-drops-jaguars-struggles\/","title":{"rendered":"NFL Week 10 Recap: Trevor Lawrence Can&#8217;t Blame Drops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s not the drops.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s <strong>Trevor<\/strong> <strong>Lawrence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In Week 10, Lawrence had the worst fourth quarter of any quarterback who had a 10-point halftime lead in the last five years.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"Trevor Lawrence Is the Problem \u2014 Jaguars Offense Collapsing\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GVIGOed8jgM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He had 6 dropbacks in the fourth quarter and threw only 1 pass, which was incomplete.<\/p>\n<p>He took 3 sacks for a total of -19 yards, and his team went punt, punt, fumble in the fourth quarter while the Texans scored 21 unanswered points.<\/p>\n<p>He averaged -1.52 EPA per dropback, which was the worst out of 366 qualifying QBs.<\/p>\n<p>For a few weeks to start the season, you could blame drops.<\/p>\n<p>Jags fans, you need to get over that now.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no longer the drops.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, if you remove all drops this season, Lawrence ranks:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#25 in accuracy<br \/>\n#27 in EPA per attempt<br \/>\n#29 in completion rate<br \/>\n#30 in TD to INT ratio<br \/>\n#34 in TD rate<\/p>\n<p>The Jaguars' passing attack currently ranks #30.<\/p>\n<p>They rank #26 in EPA, #27 in success rate, #27 in yards per attempt, and #28 inside the red zone.<\/p>\n<p>Everything that we thought could get fixed with <strong>Liam<\/strong> <strong>Coen<\/strong> has not worked as planned.<\/p>\n<p>Despite lowering his early down target depth to just 7.6 (#15) from 9.1 last year (#3), Lawrence\u2019s early down efficiency has regressed.<\/p>\n<p>2024:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#13 in EPA\/attempt (+0.10 EPA\/att)<br \/>\n#20 in success rate (45%)<br \/>\n#6 in Y\/A (8.0)<br \/>\n#27 in completion rate (66%)<\/p>\n<p>2025:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">#29 in EPA\/attempt (-0.05)<br \/>\n#25 in success rate (42%)<br \/>\n#29 in Y\/A (6.1)<br \/>\n#30 in completion rate (62%)<\/p>\n<p>Again, this is NOT drops.<\/p>\n<p>His completion rate is #26 even when you remove drops, worse than last year, despite averaging nearly 2 air yards fewer per target.<\/p>\n\t<div class='sfa-image-adds' style=\"margin-bottom: 20px;\">\n\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/newsletter\/'>\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Sharp-Football-Analysis-Newsletter-Ad.jpg\" class=\"attachment-size-full size-size-full\" alt=\"Sharp Football Analysis Newsletter\" \/>\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s not the drops.
