The Bucs need to win this game and have the Falcons lose to win the division and fourth seed.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Bucs -3<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Falcons' win on Monday night keeps this game from being a winner-take-all contest, but that should not affect the motivation on either side.<\/p>\n<p>The Panthers can assure themselves a spot in the playoffs with a win.<\/p>\n<p>The Bucs' only path to the playoffs is to first win this game.<\/p>\n<p>There are no motivation questions on either side, but the Bucs will be without standout CB <strong>Jamel<\/strong> <strong>Dean<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t<div class='sfa-image-adds' style=\"margin-bottom: 20px;\">\n\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/newsletter\/'>\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Sharp-Football-Analysis-Newsletter-Ad.jpg\" class=\"attachment-size-full size-size-full\" alt=\"Sharp Football Analysis Newsletter\" \/>\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<h2><span id=\"49ers_vs_Seahawks_Playoff_Scenarios\">49ers vs. Seahawks Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The winner of this contest will win the NFC West and be the No. 1 seed in the NFC.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Seahawks -1.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an easy scenario.<\/p>\n<p>Both the 49ers and Seahawks are locked into the playoffs, but the winner of this game will get the No. 1 seed and a bye.<\/p>\n<p>If the Seahawks lose, they will be the No. 5 seed.<\/p>\n<p>If the 49ers lose, they can fall all the way to the No. 6 seed if the Rams win against the Cardinals on Sunday.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Jaguars_vs_Titans_Playoff_Scenarios\">Jaguars vs. Titans Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Jaguars can lock up the AFC South and at least the No. 3 seed in the AFC with a win over the Titans. Jacksonville is also still in play for the No. 2 seed and the No. 1 seed, but they need losses from the Patriots and Broncos to make that happen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Jaguars -13.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the Texans nipping at their heels, the Jaguars have all the motivation in the world heading into the final game of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Jacksonville also still has a shot at the No. 1 seed, though that is unlikely since they would need both the Patriots and Broncos to lose.<\/p>\n<p>Still, if the Jaguars win and either of those two teams loses, they could also climb into the No. 2 seed.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Texans_vs_Colts_Playoff_Scenarios\">Texans vs. Colts Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Texans need a win and a Jaguars loss to win the AFC South and get the No. 3 seed in the AFC. Houston can fall all the way to the No. 7 seed with a loss.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Texans -10.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Texans might not be able to catch the Jaguars, who just need a win against the 3-13 Titans, but they have further motivation in this game.<\/p>\n<p>Houston can fall all the way to the No. 7 seed if they lose and the Chargers and Bills win.<\/p>\n<p>We already know the Chargers will rest their starters, and the Bills may do the same.<\/p>\n<p>Still, the Texans will not know for sure at kickoff since both the Chargers and Bills play in the late window.<\/p>\n<p>Coach <strong>DeMeco Ryans\u00a0<\/strong>has already confirmed the team will play to win against the Colts.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, the Colts will sit <strong>Philip Rivers<\/strong> for the meaningless season finale.<\/p>\n<p>Rookie <strong>Riley<\/strong> <strong>Leonard<\/strong> is expected to get the start.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Vikings_vs_Packers_Playoff_Scenarios\">Vikings vs. Packers Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Packers are locked into the No. 7 seed in the NFC. The Vikings have been eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Vikings -8<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is no playoff motivation on either side of this game.<\/p>\n<p>The Packers cannot improve their playoff seeding, and the Vikings have already been eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, the Packers will sit both <strong>Jordan<\/strong> <strong>Love<\/strong> and <strong>Malik<\/strong> <strong>Willis<\/strong> in this game, putting <strong>Clayton<\/strong> <strong>Tune<\/strong> in line for a start.<\/p>\n<p>We should also see the rest of the Packers' starters used sparingly, if at all.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, the Vikings have not declared who they will start at quarterback in the season finale, but <strong>J.J. McCarthy<\/strong> looks to be on track for a start after practicing in full on Thursday.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Falcons_vs_Saints_Playoff_Scenarios\">Falcons vs. Saints Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Falcons and the Saints have been eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Falcons -3.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Falcons cannot make the playoffs, but they are in an interesting position.<\/p>\n<p>If Atlanta and Tampa Bay win, that will create a three-way tie at the top of the NFC South.<\/p>\n<p>The Panthers would win that tiebreaker, meaning Carolina can lose on Saturday and still make the playoffs if the Falcons win on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, the Saints have been playing well lately, and they likely want to keep the momentum with their young quarterback heading into the offseason.<\/p>\n<p>However, they will be without <strong>Chris<\/strong> <strong>Olave<\/strong>, who is recovering from an illness.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Giants_vs_Cowboys_Playoff_Scenarios\">Giants vs. Cowboys Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Giants and the Cowboys have been eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Cowboys -3.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is nothing to play for in this game, but both the Cowboys and Giants are expected to play their starters in the season finale.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it is worth watching the transaction wire throughout the week to see if any starters with small injuries land on injured reserve to close the season.<\/p>\n<p>It is also possible that the Cowboys get <strong>Dak<\/strong> <strong>Prescott<\/strong> and some of the other stars out of the game early, as Jerry Jones hinted at on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bengals_vs_Browns_Playoff_Scenarios\">Bengals vs. Browns Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Bengals and the Browns have been eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Bengals -7.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is nothing to play for in this game, but the biggest star will be on the field.<\/p>\n<p>Coach <strong>Zac Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>has already confirmed <strong>Joe<\/strong> <strong>Burrow<\/strong> will start against the Browns.<\/p>\n<p>There is also motivation on the other side with a rookie quarterback looking to make his case and <strong>Myles Garrett<\/strong> chasing the single-season sack record.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, the Browns will be without several key pieces on offense, including <strong>Harold Fannin Jr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t<div class='sfa-image-adds' style=\"margin-bottom: 20px;\">\n\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/newsletter\/'>\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Sharp-Football-Analysis-Newsletter-Ad.jpg\" class=\"attachment-size-full size-size-full\" alt=\"Sharp Football Analysis Newsletter\" \/>\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<h2><span id=\"Broncos_vs_Chargers_Playoff_Scenarios\">Broncos vs. Chargers Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Broncos can lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win. The Chargers can climb to the No. 5 seed in the AFC with a win and a Texans loss.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Broncos -12.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the Chargers could still improve their playoff positioning with a win and some help, they are making the unsurprising decision to sit an injured <strong>Justin<\/strong> <strong>Herbert<\/strong> for the season finale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Omarion<\/strong> <strong>Hampton<\/strong> is also likely to sit because of an ankle injury.<\/p>\n<p>That is great news for the Broncos, who can lock up the No. 1 seed with a win.<\/p>\n<p>Denver will certainly go all out in this game, and they could be less likely to rest starters later in the game &#8212; assuming a blowout &#8212; since a win gets them a first-round bye.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Patriots_vs_Dolphins_Playoff_Scenarios\">Patriots vs. Dolphins Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Patriots can climb to the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win and a Broncos loss. The Dolphins are eliminated from the playoffs.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Patriots -11<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Patriots still have plenty to play for with a chance at the No. 1 seed, though the news that the Chargers will rest <strong>Justin<\/strong> <strong>Herbert\u00a0<\/strong>hurts their chances.<\/p>\n<p>Still, the Patriots should be motivated to win this game against a Dolphins team that already played a spoiler role last week against the Bucs.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, the Dolphins have already placed <strong>Darren<\/strong> <strong>Waller<\/strong> on injured reserve, and it looks as if <strong>De'Von<\/strong> <strong>Achane<\/strong> will sit this game out. <strong>Jaylen<\/strong> <strong>Waddle<\/strong> could also be shut down with his rib injury.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bears_vs_Lions_Playoff_Scenarios\">Bears vs. Lions Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Bears can lock up the No. 2 seed in the NFC with a win. The Lions are eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Bears -3<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bears have a clear motivation to win this game with the No. 2 seed on the line.<\/p>\n<p>The Lions are a little more interesting since they have already been knocked out of the playoffs, and coach <strong>Dan<\/strong> <strong>Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>has already hinted they will play it safe with some of their injured players (aka, most of the team).<\/p>\n<p>We still should see <strong>Jared<\/strong> <strong>Goff<\/strong>, and it looks like <strong>Amon-Ra St. Brown<\/strong> is trending toward playing despite his litany of injuries.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Eagles_vs_Commanders_Playoff_Scenarios\">Eagles vs. Commanders Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Eagles can climb to the No. 2 seed in the NFC with a win and a Bears loss. The Commanders are eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Eagles -4<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Eagles can still climb to the No. 2 seed if the Bears lose, but that is apparently not enough motivation to play their starters against the Commanders.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Jeff_McLane\/status\/2006380593781846116\">Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer<\/a>, the Eagles will &#8220;rest QB <strong>Jalen<\/strong> <strong>Hurts<\/strong> and most starters in the season finale.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles quickly fell from a 7-point favorite down to 3.5 points on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to remember, though, that backup <strong>Tanner McKee\u00a0<\/strong>led the Eagles to a win in a similar situation in Week 18 of last season, and it is not like the Commanders have their first choice at quarterback.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jayden<\/strong> <strong>Daniels<\/strong> has already been shut down for the season, and <strong>Marcus<\/strong> <strong>Mariota<\/strong> will not play, either.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Bills_vs_Jets_Playoff_Scenarios\">Bills vs. Jets Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Bills can climb to the No. 5 seed in the AFC with a win and losses by the Texans and Chargers. The Jets are eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Bills -8<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bills can still climb to the No. 5 seed, but they also have a quarterback who is clearly dealing with an injury.<\/p>\n<p><b>Josh Allen\u00a0<\/b>is apparently &#8220;good to go&#8221; for Week 18, though it is fair to question how much we see of him and the rest of the starters against the Jets.<\/p>\n<p>Allen does have a start streak he likely wants to keep going, and\u00a0<strong>James Cook<\/strong> currently leads the league in rushing.<\/p>\n<p>The Bills could try to get both players where they need to be to hit those milestones and then take them out of the game.<\/p>\n<p>The Jets gave up on football a long time ago.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Rams_vs_Cardinals_Playoff_Scenarios\">Rams vs. Cardinals Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Rams can earn the No. 5 seed with a win and a 49ers loss. The Cardinals are eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Rams -7.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coach <strong>Sean<\/strong> <strong>McVay\u00a0<\/strong>has traditionally prioritized rest over playoff seeding, though this year could be a little different.<\/p>\n<p>The No. 5 seed sets up a date with the winner of the NFC South.<\/p>\n<p>The No. 6 seed likely means a trip to face the Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams also lost on Monday night, and after that game, McVay said they need to get in a groove playing betting football.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew<\/strong> <strong>Stafford<\/strong> is also still in the thick of the MVP race, which could affect how much he is on the field.<\/p>\n<p>All of that suggests we will not see the usual full shutdown from the Rams, but they still could play it safe in the second half.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Raiders_vs_Chiefs_Playoff_Scenarios\">Raiders vs. Chiefs Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Raiders and the Chiefs have been eliminated from the playoffs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Chiefs -5.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs are no strangers to meaningless Week 18 games, but usually it is because they are heading to the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas City could still have some motivation to get <strong>Travis<\/strong> <strong>Kelce<\/strong>\u00a0a few milestones in what could be his final game.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, the Raiders are likely to have <strong>Kenny<\/strong> <strong>Pickett<\/strong> at quarterback after shutting down both <strong>Brock<\/strong> <strong>Bowers<\/strong> and <strong>Maxx<\/strong> <strong>Crosby<\/strong> last week.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders can also lock up the No. 1 overall pick with a loss.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Steelers_vs_Ravens_Playoff_Scenarios\">Steelers vs. Ravens Playoff Scenarios<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>This game will decide the AFC North and the No. 4 seed in the AFC.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Betting Line: Ravens -3.5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are finishing up with an easy one.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of this game will win the division and earn the No. 4 seed.<\/p>\n<p>The loser will not make the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>Given the stakes, it is not surprising that <strong>Lamar<\/strong> <strong>Jackson<\/strong> will be back for this game, and <strong>T.J.
