119 passes for a league-leading 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>He became the first player in the Super Bowl era to lead the NFL in receiving yards while playing for a team in the bottom three in pass rate.<\/p>\n<p>Smith-Njigba leads the league in yards per route run (3.68), share of team targets (35.8%), and share of air yards (50.1%).<\/p>\n<p>As noted with Darnold, some combination of opponent and offensive approach has brought Seattle's passing game closer to the line of scrimmage more often.<\/p>\n<p>However, Seattle has calibrated by still getting Smith-Njigba the football.<\/p>\n<p>Over those opening 11 games, Smith-Njigba averaged 12.6 air yards per target with 20.6% of his targets on throws 20 or more yards downfield.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past six games, he has averaged 8.7 air yards per target with a 3.6% deep target rate.<\/p>\n<p>Teams have taken away some of the shot plays from this offense while Darnold is protecting the football more, but Smith-Njigba has still accounted for 33.1% of the Seattle targets (1st in the league) and 47.7% of the air yards (2nd in the league) over that span.<\/p>\n<p>In two games against San Francisco, Smith-Njigba had games of 9-124-0 and 6-84-0, receiving 59.1% and 30.8% of the team\u2019s targets in those matchups.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"sf_postarticle_read\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"title-heading-center\">To continue
