<strong>Lamar Jackson<\/strong> took over as the starting quarterback.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson still ended the year with strong stats, throwing for 8.4 yards per pass attempt (his third straight season with at least 8.0 yards per attempt), 21 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>But it was an uneven year with extreme highs and lows.<\/p>\n<p>Through four weeks, Jackson completed 71.6% of his passes for 9.1 Y\/A with 10 touchdowns and 1 interception.<\/p>\n<p>He then suffered a hamstring injury that sidelined him until Week 9.<\/p>\n<p>Returning in Week 9, Jackson threw 4 touchdowns in a win against Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Then things took a turn.<\/p>\n<p>Over his final eight starts, Jackson completed just 57.6% of his passes (28th) with 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>He had the highest inaccurate throw rate in the league over that span (15.8%).<\/p>\n<p>22.3% of his dropbacks resulted in a loss of -1.0 EPA or worse, which was ahead of only <strong>Shedeur Sanders<\/strong> (22.9%) and <strong>Geno<\/strong> <strong>Smith<\/strong> (23.2%).<\/p>\n<p>The mounting injuries also prevented Jackson from utilizing his legs.<\/p>\n<p>He ran for a career-low 26.8 yards per game.<\/p>\n<p>His previous low as a starter was 51.3 rushing yards per game.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson ended up with only 2.2 designed runs per game.<\/p>\n<p>His previous low was 4.4 designed runs per game.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson dealt with hamstring, back, knee, ankle, and toe issues that regularly had him missing practice time, while he also missed one more game in Week 17.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens went 2-2 without him, getting their record up to 6-11 in games Jackson has missed since he took over as the starter.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson has now missed at least one game in every season but one, playing in more than 13 games in a season once since 2021.<\/p>\n<p>We do not know the full truth about what was going on behind the scenes last year, but there appeared to be a schism between Jackson and the coaching staff.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not there was something larger going on under the surface between Jackson and <strong>John<\/strong> <strong>Harbaugh<\/strong> or <strong>Todd<\/strong> <strong>Monken<\/strong>, the Ravens have gone in a new direction this season, bringing in<strong> Jesse Minter <\/strong>as head coach and <strong>Declan Doyle<\/strong> as the offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>This is an interesting potential fulcrum point for Jackson, given the Ravens' new staff and the current state of the roster.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson just turned 29 this January.<\/p>\n<p>He is signed through 2027, but he carries a $84.3 million cap hit next year that the team will have to adjust.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tyler Huntley<\/strong> was brought back as the backup.<\/p>\n<p>Huntley made two starts last year, with the team winning both games.<\/p>\n<p>He has now made 16 starts in the NFL (11 with the Ravens), posting a 7-9 record in those games.<\/p>\n<h3>Running Back<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Derrick Henry<\/li>\n<li>Justice Hill<\/li>\n<li>Rasheen Ali<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Derrick Henry<\/strong> was still a behemoth in his age-31 season, turning 322 touches into 1,745 yards and 16 touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>It was the seventh-most total yards gained by a running back 31 years or older in league history and the most since 2006 for a player of that age.<\/p>\n<p>This was Henry\u2019s eighth straight season with double-digit touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>Only nine other players in league history have as many seasons with double-digit touchdowns as Henry.<\/p>\n<p>And he did that all in a row.<\/p>\n<p>If he does it again this season, he will join <strong>Jerry<\/strong> <strong>Rice<\/strong> (10), <strong>LaDainian<\/strong> <strong>Tomlinson<\/strong>, <strong>Emmitt<\/strong> <strong>Smith<\/strong>, and <strong>Randy Moss<\/strong> as the only players with at least nine such seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Over that span, Henry has scored 21 more touchdowns (including the postseason) than the next closest players (<strong>Christian<\/strong> <strong>McCaffrey<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>This was the sixth time in seven seasons that Henry cleared 300 touches.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2018, Henry has had 370 more touches than the next closest running back (<strong>Saquon<\/strong> <strong>Barkley<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Henry averaged 3.59 yards after contact per rush in 2025, which was fourth in the league.<\/p>\n<p>All of that production came despite Henry running up against a light box for just 16.3% of his runs (42nd).<\/p>\n<p>Henry turned 32 in January.<\/p>\n<p>Father Time eventually catches up with everyone, but Henry is still performing at a high level.<\/p>\n<p>He is still signed for the next two seasons at reasonable prices ($5.6 million cap hit this year and $16.3 million next season).<\/p>\n<p>Henry still does not play any role in the passing game.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens ran the ball on 64% of Henry\u2019s snaps last year, the highest rate for any running back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Justice Hill<\/strong> has served as the passing-game complement to Henry, and he enters the final season of his current contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rasheen Ali<\/strong> has only had 26 touches through two NFL seasons.<\/p>\n<p>This is not an immediate \u201cneed,\u201d but the Ravens are in play to explore adding another back to this depth chart.<\/p>\n<h3>Wide Receiver<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Zay Flowers<\/li>\n<li>Rashod Bateman<\/li>\n<li>Devontez Walker<\/li>\n<li>Dayton Wade<\/li>\n<li>LaJohntay Wester<\/li>\n<li>Cornelius Johnson<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Zay Flowers<\/strong> took another step forward last season, catching 86 passes for 1,211 yards and 5 touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>He added another 62 yards and a touchdown on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Flowers has increased his yardage every year in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>He accounted for 29% of Baltimore's targets (WR5) and 35.7% of the air yards (35.7%) last season, posting 2.53 yards per route run (WR6).<\/p>\n<p>If there has been one minor bugaboo for Flowers, it has been the lack of usage near the end zone.<\/p>\n<p>He has 16 touchdowns through three NFL seasons.<\/p>\n<p>That has been due to low utilization in that area of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Flowers has received 18 career targets in the end zone.<\/p>\n<p>He had only 5 last year.<\/p>\n<p>His career target shares in the red zone have been 20.3%, 11.5%, and 19.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of the red zone, they have been 23.1%, 27.5%, and 30.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Flowers is not the biggest receiver, which plays a part in his limited usage near the paint, but a new coaching staff could design more for him.<\/p>\n<p>Flowers is in the final season of his rookie deal.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens have already picked up his fifth-year option for 2027 ($27.3 million), as a potential extension will be upcoming.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Flowers, the depth chart here lacks any tangible production.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens have been waiting for a full breakout for <strong>Rashod Bateman<\/strong>, but it just has not happened to this point.<\/p>\n<p>Bateman caught only 19 passes for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns across 13 games in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Bateman has yet to catch 50 passes in a year through five NFL seasons.<\/p>\n<p>He is still signed through 2029.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Devontez Walker<\/strong> has 7 receptions (4 for touchdowns) through two NFL seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Walker could finally have a larger role in 2026, but we have not seen him log significant snaps.<\/p>\n<p>He went from 57 snaps as a rookie in 2024 up to 163 snaps last year, but that was still only 24% of the plays.<\/p>\n<h3>Tight End<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Mark Andrews<\/li>\n<li>Durham Smythe<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Mark Andrews<\/strong> had the worst season of his career in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Hitting 30 years old, Andrews caught 48 passes for 422 yards and 5 touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>His 8.8 yards per catch were by far the fewest of his career.<\/p>\n<p>He posted only 2.1 yards after the catch.<\/p>\n<p>His previous career low was 3.1 yards after the catch per reception.<\/p>\n<p>As a byproduct, his 1.23 yards per route run were also a new career-low and ranked 43rd in the league among tight ends with 100 or more routes run.<\/p>\n<p>Andrews has been on the field for fewer than 70% of the dropbacks in each of the past three seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly enough, the Ravens extended Andrews last season, but his cap hits are modest.<\/p>\n<p>Andrews will only count as a $6.9 million cap hit in 2026 (2.3%) and $14.7 million next season (4.5%).<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens need Andrews to rebound.<\/p>\n<p>Baltimore lost both <strong>Isaiah<\/strong> <strong>Likely<\/strong> and <strong>Charlie<\/strong> <strong>Kolar<\/strong> this offseason.<\/p>\n<p>The team added veteran <strong>Durham Smythe<\/strong> on a one-year contract, but they are live to add another young tight end to the roster.<\/p>\n<h3>Offensive Line<\/h3>\n<p><strong>LT: <\/strong>Ronnie Stanley, Gerad Lichtenhan<br \/>\n<strong>LG: <\/strong>Andrew Vorhees, Emery Johnson<br \/>\n<strong>C: <\/strong>Danny Pinter, Corey Bullock, Jovaughn Gwyn<br \/>\n<strong>RG:<\/strong> John Simpson, Jared Penning<br \/>\n<strong>RT: <\/strong>Roger Rosengarten, Carson Vinson<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens have good tackles in place in <strong>Ronnie Stanley<\/strong> and <strong>Roger Rosengarten<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Stanley has stayed healthy the past two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Rosengarten took a solid step forward in his second season, playing 100% of the snaps.<\/p>\n<p>He allowed a 5.2% pressure rate after a 6.6% rate in his first season.<\/p>\n<p>Both of those tackles are on the books for multiple seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The state of this offensive line's interior is where the questions lie.<\/p>\n<p>Baltimore brought <strong>John Simpson<\/strong> back (who was with the Ravens in 2023) to play right guard after <strong>Daniel Faalele<\/strong> was their weakest link up front last year.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly enough, Simpson ranked 56th in overall grade last season among guards at Pro Football Focus, while Faalele was 57th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrew Vorhees<\/strong> was 65th on that list.<\/p>\n<p>Vorhees started all 17 games at left guard in his second season.<\/p>\n<p>It was just his second season in the league and first as a starter, but Vorhees was only a seventh-round pick in 2023, so expectations are in check for a turnaround.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest hole will be filling the void left by <strong>Tyler Linderbaum<\/strong>, who left the team in free agency.<\/p>\n<p>There will surely be a competition at the center spot that could involve a rookie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danny Pinter<\/strong> was added to the roster on a one-year deal.<\/p>\n<p>Pinter started 10 games over the past five seasons with the Colts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corey Bullock<\/strong> has played 13 NFL Okoye<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Ravens were midpack against running backs last season, allowing 4.2 yards per carry to the position (13th) and finishing 12th in yards before contact allowed per carry.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unsettled group because of the serious neck injury <strong>Nnamdi Madubuike<\/strong> suffered early last year.<\/p>\n<p>There reportedly is \u201cgrowing optimism\u201d Madubuike will be ready for the 2026 season, but that remains up in the air.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Broderick Washington<\/strong> has consistently been brought up as a cap cut, and he was limited to three games last season because of an Achilles injury.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Travis<\/strong> <strong>Jones<\/strong> is coming off a very good season and is under contract for several more years, but he is the one solidified piece of this defensive line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John<\/strong> <strong>Jenkins<\/strong> was second on the defensive line in snaps last year, but while he can certainly fill a role as a rotational option, he probably should not be more than that in a high-level unit.<\/p>\n<p>Madubuike returning healthy would go a long way to helping out the defensive line, but even if he does, this should be considered a need.<\/p>\n<h3>Edge Defenders<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Trey Hendrickson<\/li>\n<li>Mike Green<\/li>\n<li>Tavius Robinson<\/li>\n<li>Adisa Isaac<\/li>\n<li>Kaimon Rucker<\/li>\n<li>Carl Jones<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Ravens\u2019 pass rush bottomed out in 2025, finishing 28th in pressure rate (31.5%) and sacks (30).<\/p>\n<p>It originally looked like Baltimore made its big move by bringing in <strong>Maxx<\/strong> <strong>Crosby<\/strong> via trade, but they voided that deal before signing <strong>Trey<\/strong> <strong>Hendrickson<\/strong> in free agency.<\/p>\n<p>Hendrickson played just seven games for the Bengals last year, but he averaged better than a 17% pressure rate for the four seasons prior to 2025.<\/p>\n<p>He recorded back-to-back 17.5 sack seasons in 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In short, he has been one of the most productive pass rushers in the league over the last five years.<\/p>\n<p>A second-round pick last year, <strong>Mike<\/strong> <strong>Green<\/strong> played a lot of snaps as a rookie, but he struggled to make an impact, recording a bottom-tier 8.9% pressure rate and 3.5 sacks.<\/p>\n<p>2024 third-round pick <strong>Adisa<\/strong> <strong>Isaac<\/strong> missed all of last season with an elbow injury, and he played just four games as a rookie.<\/p>\n<p>2023 fourth-round pick <strong>Tavius<\/strong> <strong>Robinson<\/strong> did not shine in his 10 healthy games last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens do have youth on rookie contracts on the edge, which means they could hope for some internal development, but this still looks like a need even after adding Hendrickson.<\/p>\n<h3>Linebacker<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Roquan Smith<\/li>\n<li>Teddye Buchanan<\/li>\n<li>Trenton Simpson<\/li>\n<li>Jay Higgins IV<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Baltimore has no question at the top of the linebacker depth chart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roquan<\/strong> <strong>Smith<\/strong> remained a productive player against the run in 2025, and he allowed just 6.0 yards per target in coverage.<\/p>\n<p>The spot next to him is more interesting.<\/p>\n<p>A fourth-round pick last year, <strong>Teddye Buchanan<\/strong> was thrust into a big role as a rookie, and he showed relatively well before a torn ACL ended his season in December.<\/p>\n<p>That injury puts him in question for Week 1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trenton<\/strong> <strong>Simpson<\/strong> started the rest of the way, but he enters the final year of his rookie deal having not proven he can be a capable starter, though he was better last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens have too many other needs to really focus on linebacker in the draft, but this position is not settled.<\/p>\n<h3>Cornerback<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Nate Wiggins<\/li>\n<li>Marlon Humphrey<\/li>\n<li>Chidobe Awuzie<\/li>\n<li>T.J. Tampa<\/li>\n<li>Bilhal Kone<\/li>\n<li>Keyon Martin<\/li>\n<li>Amani Oruwariye<\/li>\n<li>Robert Longerbeam<\/li>\n<li>Marquise Robinson<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Ravens fielded a middling pass defense in 2025, finishing 17th in yards per attempt allowed and 20th in EPA per pass allowed.<\/p>\n<p>Baltimore is in good shape at the very top of the depth chart with <strong>Nate<\/strong> <strong>Wiggins<\/strong>, who has allowed 7.0 yards per target and a 73.0 quarterback rating in his coverage through two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The No. 2 spot looks good on paper given how <strong>Marlon<\/strong> <strong>Humphrey<\/strong> has played throughout his career, but he is coming off a terrible season.<\/p>\n<p>Humphrey finished 137th among 140 qualified cornerbacks in yards allowed per coverage snap last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Ravens brought back <strong>Chidobe Awuzie<\/strong>, who played well in his first season with the team, but both he and Humphrey come with injury concerns.<\/p>\n<p>There is some youth here, but<strong> T.J. Tampa<\/strong> did not force his way onto the field last year, <strong>Bilhal Kone<\/strong> missed his rookie season because of a preseason knee injury, and <strong>Robert Longerbeam<\/strong> suffered the same fate.<\/p>\n<p>On paper, the Ravens have a solid trio of starters and young depth, but there are questions throughout this cornerback group.<\/p>\n<p>Humphrey and Awuzie are also scheduled to be free agents after the season, raising some long-term concerns.<\/p>\n<h3>Safety<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Kyle Hamilton<\/li>\n<li>Malaki Starks<\/li>\n<li>Jaylinn Hawkins<\/li>\n<li>Keondre Jackson<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Ravens lost both <strong>Alohi<\/strong> <strong>Gilman<\/strong> and <strong>Ar\u2019Darius<\/strong> <strong>Washington<\/strong> in free agency, but they added <strong>Jaylinn Hawkins<\/strong>, who played 838 snaps for the Patriots last season.<\/p>\n<p>Hawkins gives Baltimore a replacement for Gilman as the third safety, which should free up <strong>Kyle<\/strong> <strong>Hamilton<\/strong> to play his dynamic role in the defense, something that should continue despite the coaching change.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton finished fifth among qualified defensive backs in run stuffs last season, and he allowed just 5.3 yards per target in coverage.<\/p>\n<p>He is pretty good.<\/p>\n<p>A first-round pick last year, <strong>Malaki Starks<\/strong> was
