He is loved by scouts for his big arm, but has a checkered resume entering the league. He had a monster 2018 season, throwing for 8.6 Y\/A and a 32-to-6 TD\/INT ratio as a 20-year old sophomore. He then followed that up by taking a full fall backward this past season, dropping down to 7.2 Y\/A (22nd percentile for final season passers since 2000), a 61.9% completion rate (39<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> percentile), and a 1.2 TD\/INT ratio (fifth percentile).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.numberfire.com\/nfl\/news\/30568\/2020-nfl-draft-how-quarterbacks-performed-versus-top-defenses\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That happened while Love faced the lightest schedule of opponents out these top passers listed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. There is some mystery on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/analysis\/qb-accuracy-2020-nfl-draft-burrow-tua-herbert\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if you will draft that Love was in 2018, or the one in 2019 from an accuracy perspective.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Love carries red flags that we have seen from recent players in Daniel Jones, Josh Allen, and Mitchell Trubisky, but all those players have shown fantasy value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately for Love, he lands in a spot behind Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is signed through the 2023 season and carries dead cap hits of $39.7M in 2020 and $31.6M in 2021. The first realistic year the Packers could even consider moving on from Rodgers monetarily would be after 2021 and even then he would be $17.2M dead cap then.
