They still probably need a new right tackle, but this team is set up for a real Super Bowl push.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Seattle Seahawks<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +900<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It is not surprising that the defending Super Bowl Champions lost a lot of talent in free agency, but losing <strong>Kenneth<\/strong> <strong>Walker<\/strong>, <strong>Coby<\/strong> <strong>Bryant<\/strong>, <strong>Boye<\/strong> <strong>Mafe<\/strong>, and <strong>Riq Woolen<\/strong> is a tough blow. Seattle still has a lot of talent, but they are rightfully behind the Rams coming out of free agency in both the odds and these rankings.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Buffalo Bills<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +900<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Buffalo almost certainly paid too much for <strong>D.J. Moore<\/strong>, and he is not a surefire No. 1 receiver. Still, some of his recent struggles can be attributed to a clearly dysfunctional connection with <strong>Caleb<\/strong> <strong>Williams<\/strong>, and Moore\u2019s previous work with <strong>Joe<\/strong> <strong>Brady<\/strong> should make the transition a lot easier. Moore is not the perfect fix, but he addresses a major need for Buffalo.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Baltimore Ravens<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +900<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Losing <strong>Tyler<\/strong> <strong>Linderbaum<\/strong> hurts, but getting in <strong>Trey<\/strong> <strong>Hendrickson<\/strong> (even in the controversial way it happened re: <strong>Maxx<\/strong> <strong>Crosby<\/strong>) is a big boost for Baltimore\u2019s defense. Ultimately, we know this team is good when <strong>Lamar<\/strong> <strong>Jackson<\/strong> is healthy, and there are holes in every team the rest of the way. That puts the Ravens in the top five, though with some reservations.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Green Bay Packers<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Packers are still good, but they did suffer some losses in free agency. Some of the changes on the offensive line were already forced last season due to injury, but the front office seems to be betting big on former first-round pick <strong>Jordan<\/strong> <strong>Morgan<\/strong> at left tackle. They also play in the best division in football, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/analysis\/nfl-draft-capital-value-picks\/\">they don\u2019t have much draft capital to add to the roster<\/a>. Those are all concerns, but this remains a good football team when healthy.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Los Angeles Chargers<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1700<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While it would still be nice to see the Chargers add some help at guard, the return of their two star tackles from injury, along with the hire of <strong>Mike<\/strong> <strong>McDaniel<\/strong> as offensive coordinator, creates a lot of optimism for this offense. Now that optimism has to turn into consistent production.<\/p>\n<h3>7. New England Patriots<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1800<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Patriots made more big free agent additions this year, including former Packers WR <strong>Romeo<\/strong> <strong>Doubs<\/strong>, but they still look thin at receiver. That was a major issue when the schedule got more difficult in the playoffs last season. Will they fix that through a trade for <strong>A.J. Brown<\/strong>? Will they look to the draft? Could <strong>Kyle<\/strong> <strong>Williams<\/strong> take a step forward? We will see.<\/p>\n<h3>8. Denver Broncos<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1900<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jaylen<\/strong> <strong>Waddle<\/strong> cost a lot in terms of draft capital, but he is a perfect addition for how the Broncos want to run their offense. Likely to take over the <strong>Troy<\/strong> <strong>Franklin<\/strong> role in the offense, Waddle can create after the catch on screens and shorter passes, and he also can be a factor down the field on shot plays. Losing <strong>John Franklin-Myers<\/strong> hurts, but the Broncos are arguably better coming out of March.<\/p>\n<h3>9. Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I did not dislike anything the Chiefs did this offseason, though the secondary is certainly a question mark. The rankings slip is more of a recognition that I had them ranked too highly in the post-Super Bowl rankings. Assuming <strong>Patrick<\/strong> <strong>Mahomes<\/strong> is healthy, we would expect them to be at worst a good team, but what is the ceiling? Can <strong>Kenneth<\/strong> <strong>Walker<\/strong> unlock the big plays this offense so desperately needs?<\/p>\n<h3>10. Philadelphia Eagles<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1600<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As of now, <strong>A.J. Brown<\/strong> is still on the team. Will that still be the case once the draft starts? Does the change at coordinator get the offense back on track? Will they be able to recover from the losses on defense? The Eagles still look like one of the elite teams in the NFC, but there are a lot of valid questions.<\/p>\n<h3>11. Houston Texans<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1800<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>David<\/strong> <strong>Montgomery<\/strong> was a good addition for Houston, and they also added to the offensive line in front of him. The defense still looks like one of the elite units in the NFL, especially after adding <strong>Reed Blankenship<\/strong> at safety. The Texans have been a consistently quality team under <strong>DeMeco Ryans<\/strong>. They need <strong>C.J. Stroud<\/strong> to take the next step to be better than that, but very good is the floor.<\/p>\n<h3>12. Detroit Lions<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1700<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Lions are a team I struggled to rank. They obviously still have big talent at the skill positions, but the offensive line is probably worse and was already fading last season. The defense was solid last season, but can it be better than that, especially if <strong>Brian<\/strong> <strong>Branch<\/strong> misses a lot of time at the start of the season? They also play in the toughest division in football, which makes things even more difficult. The Lions are good. I am just not sure how good.<\/p>\n<h3>13. San Francisco 49ers<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +1700<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I trust the coaching and infrastructure in San Francisco, but the offense is getting old quickly. When will <strong>George<\/strong> <strong>Kittle<\/strong> return from injury? <strong>Mike<\/strong> <strong>Evans<\/strong> is a good addition, but will he still be healthy by the time Kittle is back? Should we be worried about some of the falloff we saw from <strong>Christian<\/strong> <strong>McCaffrey<\/strong> last year as a runner? Can <strong>Ricky<\/strong> <strong>Pearsall<\/strong> stay on the field and become the No. 1 option of the future? There are a lot of questions on offense, and the answer to all of them can't be <strong>Kyle Shanahan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>14. Jacksonville Jaguars<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +2500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jacksonville's only free agent addition so far is <strong>Chris Rodriguez Jr<\/strong>, who joins a backfield that no longer contains <strong>Travis<\/strong> <strong>Etienne<\/strong>. On defense, they lost <strong>Devin<\/strong> <strong>Lloyd<\/strong>, <strong>Greg Newsome<\/strong>, and <strong>Andrew Wingard<\/strong>. Lloyd specifically was excellent last season and could be a big loss for the defense. The Jaguars were already good last season, so treading water is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is fair to wonder how much better they can be in 2026.<\/p>\n<h3>15. Minnesota Vikings<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +5500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I am out on a limb with the Vikings, but their defense is once again set up to be one of the best in the league. They just need better quarterback play. <strong>Kyler<\/strong> <strong>Murray<\/strong> has his issues, but the <strong>J.J. McCarthy<\/strong> bar is very low. Minnesota also brought back <strong>Carson<\/strong> <strong>Wentz<\/strong>, who had the offense performing better despite a tough schedule of defenses.<\/p>\n<h3>16. Chicago Bears<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +2500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Bears have a ton of moving pieces on defense, had to replace their starting center, and traded away <strong>D.J. Moore<\/strong>. They did a good job addressing those concerns \u2013 Moore might be addition by subtraction given his clear disconnect with <strong>Caleb<\/strong> <strong>Williams<\/strong> \u2013 but there were still big changes for a team that likely overachieved last season.<\/p>\n\t<div class='sfa-image-adds' style=\"margin-bottom: 20px;\">\n\t\t<a href='https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/newsletter\/'>\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sharpfootballanalysis.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Sharp-Football-Analysis-Newsletter-Ad.jpg\" class=\"attachment-size-full size-size-full\" alt=\"Sharp Football Analysis Newsletter\" \/>\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n<h3>17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +4000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tampa suffered some key losses in free agency. <strong>Mike<\/strong> <strong>Evans<\/strong> now plays for the 49ers, and <strong>Jamel Dean<\/strong> now works for the Steelers. They have done a good job preparing for life without Evans, but the on-off splits for Dean last season raise some big concerns. The Bucs are still the most talented team in the NFC South. They just need to show it this year.<\/p>\n<h3>18. Pittsburgh Steelers<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +5000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Assuming <strong>Aaron<\/strong> <strong>Rodgers<\/strong> returns, the Steelers did a good job this offseason. <strong>Michael<\/strong> <strong>Pittman<\/strong> is a great fit for how Rodgers likes to play, and <strong>Jamel<\/strong> <strong>Dean<\/strong> could end up being one of the better values of free agency, though he tends to miss time every season. It is fair to question the ceiling of this team, but they appear to be a solid unit.<\/p>\n<h3>19. Indianapolis Colts<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +6500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Indianapolis\u2019 Super Bowl odds do not make a ton of sense to me. They should not be near the top of the favorites list, by any means, but this team was 8-2 with <strong>Daniel<\/strong> <strong>Jones<\/strong> at quarterback last season before he suffered a broken leg. They then lost three in a row before he suffered a torn Achilles. His health is a question, and they did lose some in free agency, but they are probably a bit undervalued right now.<\/p>\n<h3>20. Cincinnati Bengals<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +3000<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bryan<\/strong> <strong>Cook<\/strong> and <strong>Boye<\/strong> <strong>Mafe<\/strong> are good additions, but this team also lost a lot from a defense that was dead last in yards per play allowed last season. <strong>Joe<\/strong> <strong>Burrow<\/strong>, <strong>Ja\u2019Marr Chase<\/strong>, and <strong>Tee Higgins<\/strong> give the Bengals a chance in every game, but how good can the defense be?<\/p>\n<h3>21. Dallas Cowboys<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +3000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As has been the case for the last few seasons, Dallas had a relatively quiet start to free agency. They did trade for <strong>Rashan Gary<\/strong> and kept <strong>George<\/strong> <strong>Pickens<\/strong> around with the franchise tag, though they still need to work out a long-term deal. Despite those additions, the Cowboys still have questions on defense and could have to deal with improved Giants and Commanders squads this season.<\/p>\n<h3>22. New York Giants<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +7000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After being higher than most on the Giants last offseason \u2013 that worked out great \u2013 it seems I am right about in line with the general consensus this year. Getting back <strong>Jermaine Eluemunor<\/strong> is big, and <strong>Isaiah Likely<\/strong> could develop into a real weapon in a full-time role. I still have questions about the running game and the receivers behind <strong>Malik<\/strong> <strong>Nabers<\/strong>. The NFC is also a gauntlet. Still, this looks like at worst a league-average roster with a proven head coach.<\/p>\n<h3>23. Washington Commanders<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +6500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s veteran approach did not work out, forcing the Commanders back to the drawing board this March. They still need to add some receiving talent, but Washington made some big additions on defense, including <strong>Odafe Oweh<\/strong>. They might be too low in these rankings.<\/p>\n<h3>24. Carolina Panthers<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +9000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Panthers got flak for how much they paid <strong>Jaelan Phillips<\/strong>, but ultimately, they got the best edge rusher on the open market and the best off-ball linebacker (<strong>Devin Lloyd<\/strong>). They also got a bargain on <strong>Rasheed Walker<\/strong>, who should fill in at left tackle as <strong>Ikem Ekwonu<\/strong> recovers from his knee injury. <strong>Bryce<\/strong> <strong>Young<\/strong> remains a big question for this team, but the roster got better.<\/p>\n<h3>25. Atlanta Falcons<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +10000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Whatever your opinion about <strong>Tua Tagovailoa<\/strong>, getting him on a minimum deal was a great piece of business. He should also be a good fit with <strong>Kevin Stefanski<\/strong>, who can recreate a lot of the quick passing and yards after catch offense that Tagovailoa produced in while with the Dolphins. Can Tagovailoa bounce back from last season? Can he stay healthy? Does he even win the job? These are all fair questions.<\/p>\n<h3>26. New Orleans Saints<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +7500<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I want to have the Saints higher, but there are a ton of teams in this area of the rankings that all seem around the same level to me. One of them had to be last, and New Orleans did not have as strong a March as the other teams, despite what I think is a great signing in <strong>David Edwards<\/strong>. I would love to see the front office add another receiver for <strong>Tyler<\/strong> <strong>Shough<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>27. Las Vegas Raiders<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +16000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Raiders would have moved up more if they played in a less difficult division. <strong>Tyler Linderbaum<\/strong> is a great addition for their expected rookie quarterback, even if he cost them a lot of money. <strong>Jalen Nailor<\/strong> is an interesting receiver addition, and as it stands, <strong>Maxx Crosby<\/strong> is still on the roster. Those are big positives, but they face an uphill climb in the AFC West.<\/p>\n<h3>28. Tennessee Titans<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +10000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Titans probably overpaid for their biggest signings, but <strong>Wan\u2019Dale Robinson<\/strong> upgrades their receiver room, and <strong>John Franklin-Myers<\/strong> is an outstanding player. They still have work to do at receiver and on the offense overall, but they got better in March. The issue is that a lot of the teams around them in these rankings got better, too.<\/p>\n<h3>29. New York Jets<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +16000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Did <strong>Geno<\/strong> <strong>Smith<\/strong> upgrade the Jets\u2019 quarterback room? Probably, even if he plays the way he did last season. Did the Jets get more talent on defense? Yes. Are they good? The jury remains out, but at least they are trying to win, which might not be true of some of the teams down at this end of the rankings.<\/p>\n<h3>30. Cleveland Browns<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +16000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cleveland probably overpaid for<strong> Zion Johnson<\/strong>, but <strong>Elgton Jenkins<\/strong> could be a good signing for their rebuilt offensive line. <strong>Quincy<\/strong> <strong>Williams<\/strong> also looks like a good addition on the defensive side of the ball. The issue remains the quarterback position. Are they really going to give <strong>Deshaun Watson<\/strong> another shot at the starting job?<\/p>\n<h3>31. Miami Dolphins<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +16000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Adding <strong>Malik<\/strong> <strong>Willis<\/strong> was a smart, relatively low-cost move, but the talent drain around him was massive. That includes trading away No. 1 receiver <strong>Jaylen<\/strong> <strong>Waddle<\/strong>, a move that leaves the receiver room bare. The Dolphins will certainly add to that group before Week 1, but will <strong>De\u2019Von Achane<\/strong> still be on the team when the season starts?<\/p>\n<h3>32. Arizona Cardinals<\/h3>\n<p><em>Super Bowl 61 Odds: +30000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There is not much to write about here since the gulf between the Cardinals\u2019 Super Bowl odds and every other team\u2019s is massive. Arizona has some bright spots on the roster, but they play in one of the league's best divisions and have no real answer at quarterback.
